Thursday’s Twenty Three Teeny Tiny Tots Treasury

NOW…how’s THAT for a title? Betcha can’t say that TEN times! :o)

If you’ve missed my “Weekday” posts, you can see them here…

Monday’s Menagerie

Tuesday’s Tantalizing Tresses

Wednesday’s Whimsical Wearables

It’s Thursday and time to take a look at some of my tiniest little girls in some of my favorite fashions I’ve made over the years. I hope you’ll enjoy these 23 outfits worn by 6 1/2″ Navi, a My Meadows doll; 7 1/2″ Riley, Tulah and An Mei by Helen Kish; and 8″ Ten Ping, by Ruby Red Galleria.

Let’s start off with pictures of my “biggest” girl…at 8″, here is Ten Ping…(before her faceup…)

Again… many of these pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them. Some almost as big as my desktop monitor!

…and AFTER her faceup…

Next up at 7 1/2″ are Riley, Tulah and An Mei… all by Helen Kish.

…and last up is my tiny little 6 1/2″ Navi!

Well, that raps up this Thursday’s Twenty Three Top Teeny Tiny Tots Treasury! Hope you enjoyed it!

See you tomorrow for Friday’s ____________? :o)
Blessings, Jeanne

Another fun post tonight, Jeanne! I do love little dolls (I have Ten Ping’s friend Gigi, as well as a Riley or two), so this was a real treat.

My eye is, of course, drawn to purples and lavenders (my favorite color family), so I especially loved Riley’s gingham and rosebuds dress and Ten Ping’s purple outfits. However, I also love Riley’s little pink and white nightie and slippers, and Navi’s gold outfit.

    1. Hi Charlotte,
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the “tiny” girls once again. Sometimes I almost wish I had Riley again so could get her dresses “right” this time. When I look at her dresses and then Ten Pings, I see a world of improvement in the fit. I guess there’s always room to make things better.
I remember making that little pink and white nightie for Riley and figuring out how to make those tiny 1″ slippers!! :o)
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Love the pale pink sister dresses. The shoulder fit is so perfect on your LD. I know some girls around here would be wearing those today as their first day of school outfit. Minus the pantaloons though as we did hit 102 yesterday and should also today. Then the fog will return tomorrow. Yay!
Mei, your Asian girl is adorable in the dark large print. I love large prints styled appropriately on small dolls and the blue color is so pretty.
Your Ten Ping with Lana’s faceup is just lovely in the purple tone. I like the double bow with the decorations. Perfection.
I really like Navi with the dark bob. So cute. Can you picture Navi’s head on a tween body LD size? We might find out soon. šŸ™‚

    1. Hi Joy,
I wonder if little girls still wear dresses to school anymore? I bet it’s mostly shorts and jeans… :o(
Oh no… not another doll getting ready to make her debut… but I do wonder what she’ll look like…
      Thank Joy,
      Stay cool if you can…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. How can you pick a favorite?! I ā€˜m really interested in the hot pink and gold sweaters, What kind of fabric did you use? Lovely outfits. Thanks for tiny outfit overload. Iā€™ve been Rather lazy lately but if anything can get the inspiration and motivation going this could be it. Canā€™t wait for Friday.

    1. Hi Dorothy,
The pink “sweater” was made from a cotton knitted fabric that looked pretty much like a real sweater.
The gold one was actually cut from a real sweater. I cut them out very carefully and quickly stitched them to the lining and the tulle. Tulle works the best because it adds no bulk…
Oh yes. Friday…what will she talk about?
      Thanks Dorothy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

Dear Jeanne, I love the photos of your tiny girls. They are all adorable. I do think that Navi steals the show, though. My favorite photo is the next to last one where she is seated on the bed. I just want to give her a hug. I am excited to see what Friday brings.

    1. Hi Dorothy,
I like that picture of Navi sitting on the bed too. I really need to do another dress for her using that bed I made for a prop.
She IS a very adorable little doll and I am so blessed to have her as a little for me.
      Thanks Dorothy,
      See you FRIDAY!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. I havenā€™t seen some of these. Will look all of them over again. And again. šŸ˜ As a dog person I really like the two red and black prints with the Scottie appliquĆ©. The use of tiny rick rack is another enjoyable element. I recently picked up a shoe box full of various colors and sizes of rick rack and piping at a thrift store. What a find! Many are still in the package.

Who is the big sister sitting with Navi in a matching dress? I just love her smile. So many little dolls look sad.

Today is our 32nd wedding anniversary and we are celebrating by going to the zoo! The Minnesota Zoo occasionally does after hours kid free events. This one was perfectly timed. šŸ’•

      Dear Jillaurellia, Happy Anniversary.
I hope you have a “roaring” great celebration.

    2. Hi Julia,
First of all, Congratulations on your 3nd wedding anniversary! That is wonderful and I hope you had a great time at the zoo.

I’m glad you saw some new things in the lineup today!!!
Sewing goodies at a thrift shop or yard sale are always a treat for me…you too, I guess.

The bigger doll sitting with little Navi is Bailey
She’s 11″ tall and the one I painted her face a few months ago. They are both made by Meadow dolls and make adorable sisters! Glad you liked them.
Thanks so much! I hope you had some cake on your outing today!!! Boy, I could go for s piece of cake right now!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Such a fun week of pictures! Love all the Riley pictures and then the one of Navi and her big sister on the green wooden bench is sooooo cute!
Tiny dolls are fun and the space issue makes them even more appealing but I do love my bigger ones too!
Iā€™ll have to send you a picture of the Helen Kish doll from the convention . She is a knockout.

    1. Thank you Kathie,
I hope everyone didn’t mind too much seeing some past pictures of my girls. I have almost made it through this busy week and can begin sewing soon…. I hope!
Smaller dolls DO take up SO much less space than my bigger ones.
Yes, I’d love to see your Helen Kish doll… we all would!
      Thanks Kathie,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. To think you have all these photos and stories and haven’t written and published a book yet! Ten Ping is my favorite, especially in the first ensemble, and the one with the little tiny dressing table is wonderful.

I’m working on a dress with the red ruffles and have it almost finished. Thanks for the inspiration to start sewing again. I do sound like my mother used to, though, going on about the price of a spool of thread, $5.00 for 500 inches. Good grief. I used to get after her for complaining about the price of things, and now it’s my turn. I guess if one lives long enough . . . Thank goodness for 50% off, etc., at Joanne’s.

    1. HI Susette,
Yes, NO book yet… but maybe some day… I’m still trying to figure out how to draft a pattern to make it sellable… :o)
Ten Ping has to be one of my favorites too… She is such a cutie and so much fun to pose. She’s the perfect size too!

Oh, we can’t wait to see what you come up with for your doll dress. It’s not necessarily cheaper to sew anymore… It used to be… but now it’s more for those who want one of a kind things… I think.
Thanks Susette, and I’m SO glad you are sewing again!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. So many little dolls! I have to say I am attracted to the larger one on the green bench. She has such a sweet smile. I donā€™t know if you have favorites, but Ten Ping seems to have more pictures than the others. Hmm, Friday _______. I think it will be Friday Favorites. Iā€™ll have to see what you name the post.

    1. HI Carolyn,
I had Riley for a few years and have LOTS more pictures of her, but I was saving several of them for Back to School next week and didn’t add any Christmas ones in there either.
I’ have had Ten Ping for a few years and was on a real kick of sewing for her when she first arrived.
Navi is my newest but she’s stolen my heart so I’ve made quite a few things for her in the short time she’s been here.
      Yes, tomorrow… Friday ____________… you’ll see…
      Blessings, Jeanne
