One picture tells it all…

I picked a pretty green with yellow sunflowers fabric from my “rainbow of colors” (thank you, Dorothy) fabric stash and laid out a bit of a teaser for you…

There are lots of possibilities I might use, as you can see… If you click on the picture it will enlarge.

I decided to wait until tomorrow to reveal who it’s for… but… you are more than welcome to guess… :o)

Thanks everyone,
Blessings, Jeanne

What a darling sunflower print! Can’t wait to see what you do with the hat!!

I am working like crazy, getting ready to go to Expo! I go down there on Wednesday afternoon, and Expo starts Thursday. My twinsie challenge is finished; bills are paid, and some errands run. Tomorrow I need to gas up the car, and pack.

Today I took Ron out for lunch, and will visit him tomorrow and also Wed. before I leave. I will see him again Sat. when I get back. I think someone from church will see him one of the days I’m gone. And I have reassured him, if there’s some big emergency and I get a phone call, I will come back right away. Since I’ve been talking about Expo for the last couple of weeks (and told him when I’d purchased my tickets in mid-January), I hope he is prepared for my being gone!

So glad you’re going to have a short getaway. Sounds like so much fun. Hope you can get some pics.

Well, Jeanne is hopping ahead to fall with the sunflowers, so how about Fall Fantasy? Regardless, it is going to be a fun outfit. Not sure about the doll size, but I love the fabric and straw hat. Perfect for a late summer barbecue or a fun picnic in the backyard. Now, as to the doll, I’m stumped. Seems like the dress is the style from the smaller dolls, but not sure. The yellow/white checks are cute with the fabric too. Will the y/w strips be ribbons for the hat? A belt for the dress? or a decoration above the hemline? It’s a mystery here. 🙂 Can’t wait for the next episode.
Originally, we had a forecast of rain, but it was changed, and so far, we have lovely clear skies, but only 37. Didn’t have frost, but close. 🙂

I’m a bit late here, but this wonderful weather we are having just makes me want to get things done outside! It’s not even noon, and in the mid 70’s with no humidity, I might add! The bottom falls out tomorrow though, oh well. It was good while it lasted.

Ok, I also think that dress is for a smaller doll, but the hat looks too big for a small doll. I love the daisy print and yellow and white gingham ribbon, and wonder what that could be for. Trims for the dress or hat? This certainly will be a cute outfit for whoever it is for!

I agree that this dress looks to be for one of the smaller dolls but I’m stumped as to which one. I see many possibilities here so I’m on pins and needles to watch it progress. I love the fabric and wish I had some like it. The yellow gingham ribbon is perfect wherever you put it. It actually looks like bias binding and I have that in gingham in several colors. Can’t wait to see what comes of all these pieces.

Another spring day here. I’d guess our winter is pretty much over – what little we had of one. Hopefully actual spring will be pleasant but I fear that our heat will start early this year and never abate until November.

  5. I think the photo makes the dress size deceiving. I’m going to guess it’s for one of the Rubies as not too much time can elapse between dresses for them.
Yes, fields of sunflowers blooming in the fall here. The straw hat is lovely.
In the 60’s here today with sun, but then the bottom falls out again.

  6. Mother Nature is certainly having a good time keeping us guessing. Yesterday set an all time record for February at 80 degrees…and it was only for one day. It is moving on east so Linda gets it today😉
The dress is adorable…maybe for a RRFF? Will it get boots?

  7. I’m thinking Ruby Red or the Little Darlings group. I love everything about your choices. The design on the dress is adorable and with the straw hat – loving the mix of flower and the ribbon. For summer maybe?
