Tiny little dolls make the cutest models…

It’s been a while since I sewed for one of the My Meadow dolls… I have three of her dolls…6″ Navi, 11″ Bailey and my newest I’ve had for a little while; 6″ Bailey. My Meadow dolls that are the 6″ size are called Twinkles…so I’m sewing for 6″ Twinkle Bailey. She looked at me with those adorable blue eyes and was picked from the dolly cabinet.

I know all the seamstresses selling on Ebay have been making Christmas dresses, but I wanted to make one more dress for Fall, and then I’ll start on Christmas! :o)

I have the basic part of her dress done, so I’ve just got several pictures of her showing off in it. She is pretty cute for being so small… in her bare feet she is just a hair over 6″, as you can see in this picture with her holding my ruler.

I made these boots quite a while back, and wanted to use them with something… They were some boots I was just learning on, and they aren’t perfect, but still work… so I hope the winner won’t be disappointed.

I liked this fabric with them, so we just started.

I hope you’ll enjoy these pictures of Bailey and come back to see how much cuter her next pieces for this set will be!!!

Well, that’s it for today… short and sweet! :o)

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Little Bailey looks as happy as can be with her new dress and boots! The fabric print is perfectly scaled to her size, and the colors are wonderful on her.

It was a year ago today (11/12 to me, as I haven’t been to bed yet! LOL) that I fell and broke my arm at our grandson/wife’s baby shower, and to my great surprise, our granddaughter-in-law shared her FB “memory” page of all the photos taken at that shower! I had never seen them before (and yes, I am in the background of ONE picture!), but what was so touching was they had pictures of the kids opening Every. Single. Thing. that was in my gift bag for them, so I got to see it all!! I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciated their thoughtfulness in doing that. (By the time the kids were opening gifts, I was in ER getting x-rayed, etc.) It made my day.

How sweet of her to send those photos! It made your memory of that day a much better memory!

Dear Charlotte, I am glad that you are on the “other” side of the incident and that part of the day is a happy memory for you. I can just see you smiling at the photographs now.

Jeanne, I really admire you and the others who sew for that size doll. I have made outfits for Twinkles, but they were hand sewn from hankies. I hope it sells well for you. My latest Meadow outfit is not selling so far. I have seen that there are many more sewing ladies making outfits for a lot less money. I can understand in this day of higher prices on necessities. I just can’t put that low a price on mine, after all the hand sewing I put it.

    1. Hi Sissy,
Sorry to hear your sweet outfit isn’t selling. I love seeing those ones you make from hankies. So adorable! I do have to agree that doll clothes is certainly not a priority for many with the cost of everything else rising. I did spurge on a RRFF, but she was my birthday and early Christmas gift this year rolled into one. One pair of PC/AG doll shoes was the only other dolly thing purchased.

How cute little Bailey is! I usually see her with short hair, but the longer hair brings about another kind of cuteness for her! What a nice save for those shoes, to make a little fall dress to match! How you do this with such tiny dolls is way beyond what I could ever do for them! Can’t wait to see what is coming for this set!

So nice for your granddaughter in-law to remember you and send the pictures, Charlotte! What a thoughtful young woman she must be!

Dear Jeanne, Bailey is adorable in her new dress. I can see why you selected her. She is quite the charmer.

How fun to see Bailey. She looks so sweet in that dress. Now, I’m wondering what else will be included? Guess we’ll find out. 🙂
After a long wait, a new Ruby Red Siblie, Elizabeth, is due here today courtesy of the USPS, and the package also has the “must sign,” label. Since other person will be ready to nab the mail, this could be a very difficult caper. I will be on alert!

  6. I’m here early today in between things. Two kitties are at the vet for dental cleanings so it’s now or not at all.
Bailey looks so cute and comfy in that sweet print. the contrasting cuffs are a nice touch. With her sturdy boots she’s ready for a hike in the woods to gather some Thanksgiving table decor or fall leaves, sweet gum balls. beechnuts, and acorns.

  7. Those Meadow dolls are a class by themselves. So many different sizes, faces, but everyone has that “ Meadow” look. One cuter than the other.
I agree Sissy. I’m sure your Hankie dresses are adorable too!
So your broken arm is a bad memory Charlotte but now it will be so nice to be able to see what happened at the rest of the shower. Gosh…that baby is almost a year already?
We saw a baby yesterday that is a bit over a year and she weighed 1lb 1oz at birth. No one dreamed she would make it …she was on all our prayer lists for months. She had some scary times but my gosh she is good sized and has a wonderful personality. She would go to anyone.. I was talking to her and she reached out and quick as a wink took my glasses off… and just grinned . Her daddy was holding her and said it is a game she plays with her mom…It surprised the heck out of me🤭
Good luck with the next delivery Joy😲
