It’s time to VOTE for your favorite Doll Dresses of 2020!!!

I hope you all saw the dresses I made in 2020 for your dolls. I enjoyed every single one I made and hope the winners are enjoying the ones they bought! Today I am combining the pictures from part 1 and part 2 so you can make up your mind as to which dresses you liked the best. I am letting you pick your TOP THREE dresses today and tomorrow we’ll find out which dresses got the top 3 spots and ultimately which dress ended up as the NUMBER ONE DRESS OF 2020!

You can vote for your top 3 favorites in the comments below or you can hit the “Contact Me” tab at the top of my blog and send me an email with your choices.

So here is a slightly abbreviated version of all the dresses seen the last 2 days… There is a name for each dress…

My first dress sold in 2020 was for tiny little Navi. It was a Valentine dress called “Time for Tea.”

Emmie received the second dress called “Springtime Delight.”

Two sister dresses were next…

Nellie’s Blue plaid dress was called “Beaming in Blue”…

…and Samantha’s pink dress was called “Pink Perfection.”

Next came a dress for Eden… “Vintage Easter” … a pretty red and pink and blue floral dress.

Molly moved us into April in “Coral Charm.”

Ten Ping got the next Easter dress, called “No Easter Parade.”

This was a dress I sold on my blog for Navi… and there was no name so we’ll just call it “Blue and Yellow for Navi.”

Elizabeth was the model for the next dress called “Regency Romance.”

Nora wore the next Civil War dress called “Civil War School Girl Charm.”

Noel and Holly modeled a 12 piece set called “A Pretty Pair in Pink.”

In August, Chrissa got to model “Get Out the Vote.”

Nyssa got a school dress called “School Girl Charm.”

In late September Molly received a new School dress called “First Day of School.”

I took on a challenge to copy a 1900’s photograph and made “Barely Beige” for Samantha…

…and “Blue Diamonds” for Nellie.

Lian was seen looking pretty in her dress set called “Welcome Fall.”

Kirsten got to model a pretty blue gauzy like plaid called “Hello Fall.”

Julie modeled a 70’s maxi dress called what else, but “The Sweet 70’s.”

Maryellen showed us “Thanksgiving Helper.”

Navi got the first Christmas dress of the year… “Christmas Cheer!”

Ten Ping was featured in “Happy Holly Days!”

Bailey received the next Christmas dress… “Old Fashioned Christmas.”

…and sweet little Noel got to wear the last dress of 2020. This was called “Winter Delight.”

Well, look over the dresses and vote for your THREE TOP DRESSES that you like… We’ll have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. You can just zoom through them and pick your favorites… Will it be hard? I hope so!! :o)

You can vote until midnight Thursday night… (Central Time zone)

Then I’ll announce which 3 dresses received the most votes and find out which dress ultimately made Number ONE dress of 2020!!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Charlotte Trayer

    So hard to choose!!!
    1–Springtime Delight
2–Hello Fall and Get Out the Vote (tie)
    3–Happy Holly Days

Strange, even though blue really isn’t my favorite color (lavender is, with pink a close second) those are the outfits I like best. And, I’m sure the order of my choices could vary, depending on my mood, as, really, I like them all equally!!

  2. 1. Regency Romance
    2. Civil War School Girl Charm
    3. Blue Diamonds
It is so hard to choose as they are all lovely!

  3. 1. Nysa, School Day Charm
    2. Molly, First Day of School
    3. Molly, Barely Biege.

Ten Pung in Happy Holly Days would be 4th. Quite an accomplishment this year. You can be proud of all your creativity combined with the sewing skills to pull off all you did this year. I especially like the adaptation of the pictured dress on Molly.

  4. First Day of School
    School Girl Charm
    Get Out the Vote
There’s just something about white blouses that I love, especially textured fabric, or white on white print.

  5. All are so well done, planned and presented…but, here are my choices:

    1-Regency Romance
    2-Civil War School Girl Charm
    3-Hello Fall

    Blessings to you, Jeanne.

  6. #1 Get Out the Vote!
    #2 School Girl Charm, Nyssa
    #3 Blue and Yellow, Navi,
because sewing for the tiny ones is extremely difficult.
Maybe you should enlarge some of these memorable photos to display around your sewing room or have them made into a coffee table book. 🙂
    Happy New Years Eve everyone!

  7. My list was longer than 3 so I really had to go back and forth deciding…

    1. First Day of School – Molly
    2. Welcome Fall- Lian
    3. School Day Charm – Nysa
Ahhh ( Pink Perfection ) I better stop!

  8. #1. Regency Romance
    #2. Springtime Delight
#3. Hello Fall and Schoolgirl Charm (tie)

2020 may have been a disappointment in many ways, but it was a great year for your beautiful outfits. Every one deserves a prize.

  9. Too early to have to think so much, but here goes.

    1. “A Pretty Pair in Pink” – Noel and Holly (I won this auction and Charlotte and Mary-
Ellen said I must put this first)
    2. “Springtime Delight” – Emmie (a lovely dress and beautiful bonnet – what’s not to like?)
    3. “Welcome Fall” – Lian (wish I had gone for this one)

And I want to give the pink and blue sister dresses a shout out. There is just something about them that is special.

Who painted the face on Emmie? It is wonderful?

    1. Hi Barbara,
Lana Dobbs did… I waited 3 years and 3 months for her to be painted… but in the end, it was worth it…isn’t she just gorgeous!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  10. Wow, so many votes already!

1.Nora in Civil War School Girl Charm
    2. Samantha in Barely Beige
    3. Kirsten in Hello Fall

Ahem, I noticed Felicity was glaringly absent this year. It must have been the little girl’s year- Navi got three dresses and Ten Ping, two. Maybe Julie and Maryellen stole her spot with their late entry. Just kidding with you, Jeanne. You know I’m all about the Edwardian, Civil War, and Colonial eras with some pioneer and 1930’s thrown in.
Wishing all the dear sofa sisters a HAPPY NEW YEAR!! %*%*%*%*%*%%*

  11. Hi Jeanne, This is a very hard exercise you are asking of us.

A very difficult but fun task Miss Jeanne :0)
    1 Springtime Delight
    2 Vintage Easter
    3 Old Fashioned Christmas
The straw hats are my favorite Accessory…they are darling. I do so look forward to seeing your blog each day. Will be fun to start a new year with you and the Sofa Sisters. Stay safe everyone!

  13. Well, here it is in the middle of the day, when I thought it would be clearer to me what I would pick, but it isn’t! I will put what I kind of think this moment, but ask me a bit later and it will be something different!

    1. Barely Beige
    2. Pink Perfection
    3. Hello Fall

There is no way I will agree to this in an hour from now, so I just give up and say that’s how I feel at this moment!

  14. Happy New Year to everyone. it is 8.40 on Jan 1st 2021 here, I am so glad to see the end of 2020 it has been such a horrible year for everyone but especially for our family.

What a tough choice. Good luck with sorting out the winners Jeanne there seems to be pretty even spread over all the dresses!
    My choices;
    1. Regency Romance
    2. Get Out the Vote
    3. Springtime Delight (mainly because Emmie is so pretty)

However I just love them all. Happy new Year everyone

  15. 1) Time for Tea
    2) Vintage Easter
    3) Happy Hollidays

However, I adore all the dresses you made this year! Maybe next year I can get one of your sweet sets for my Twinkle Tella. 🙂 Happy New Year!

  16. Hi Jeanne,
I’ve really enjoyed the fashion show these last few days. All your creations are lovely. You always make it very difficult to choose a favorite. So I looked and looked and then looked some more and these are my picks. The three I choose are so detailed and lovely. I feel they are little master pieces worthy of heirloom status.

1st Regency Romance … oh my word that sweet jacket!
2nd Get The Vote Out… Love love love the blouse and that skirt is just perfect.
3rd Springtime Delight… love the light blue fabric but that hat…wow it makes the outfit!
I bought “No Easter Parade”… and I do love it. My heartstring is still wearing it and refuses to take it off. She thinks the hat makes her look like her big sister who also has a Jeanne Marie Original hat.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words, well wishes and prayers. After being sick for two weeks and then suddenly realizing I couldn’t taste or smell anything I went for a covid test. They called 4 days later informing me I was covid positive and must quarantine for ten days from the day I was tested. I am on the mend, I’m still feeling extremely worn out and still can’t taste or smell anything but am much improved. Danielle said she’s feeling pretty good except she also can’t taste or smell anything. I can tell she’s run down but she’s also half my age and seems to be bouncing back quicker than I. Dominic, well he’s a typical toddler, he was more snuggly than normal, slept a bit longer and lost his appetite but he’s back to his crazy little self. Hubby has been around the three of us the entire time but for a little three day trip he took alone to see our son in South Carolina. On his return his work mandates he take a covid test which came back negative. Then after my loss of taste and smell, the subsequent positive covid test, hubby’s had to be tested again. Again his test came back negative as did his blood test looking for antigens. We think somewhere along the way he may have had covid but was asymptomatic.
Well I’m praying 2021 is good to us all. Happy New Year Eve!
    Blessing and Hugs
    Ingrid

    1. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Ingrid, thank you for letting us know that you are doing better. I am continuing to hold you in prayer. Blessings in the New Year.

    2. Ingrid, I am glad you are starting to feel better. My whole family has had this and it took about two weeks to start feeling stronger and then that improved every day. My husband was the only one who got the COVID pneumonia and he was pretty much over it himself before he saw a doctor. He was hospitalized because of his age and when his tests came back negative because he was no longer contagious, he got to come home to finish recovering. The loss of taste and smell was a real problem for me since my COVID was mainly like a weird sinus infection and the loss of the two sense really messed with my claustrophobia and gave me anxiety. They did come back, but it’s not like a cold where they seem to come back at once but more like a gradual return. Hope everyone continues to feel better but the upside is you now have the antibodies, and, at least for us, it was kind of a relief to know we all made it through with no problems.

  17. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Jeanne, gee this is difficult. All of the dresses are so pretty. Okay, here is my list.

    1 Time For Tea
    2 Regency Romance
    3 School Girl Charm
    4 Christmas Cheer
    5 Get Out The Vote
All of the rest are Runners Up.

I know you only wanted the top 3 but I had a difficult time choosing.

2021 is marching towards us. Yeaaaa!

Happy New Year to you and to all of the Sofa Sisters!

  18. Such a fun but difficult challenge!!
#1 Samantha’s Barely Beige (but on Nellie)
#2 Regency Romance on Elizabeth. Each piece is exquisite!! A time period I love.
#3 School Girl Charm on Nysa.

Dear Ingrid, so glad you’re doing well. I hope you’ll feel up to doing a daily check-in, I don’t know about you but it’ll make me feel better, Dorothy L

  19. Only three? Waited all day but ended up with the same first three.
    1. Time for Tea
    2. Barely Beige ( It was really worth the work!)
    3. Christmas Cheer
The pink and blue sister dresses, School Girl Charm and Get Out the Vote were right up there.
See you all in the New Year!

  20. Should there be a best photo award, I believe it goes to Julie’s Sweet 70’s last photo. I love that image. 🙂 Congrats Jeanne!

    1. HI Joy, I guess we could stretch this out and do a best photo award… :o) I love that picture too!
      Thanks Joy!
      Happy New Year!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  21. There was a comment from Joy Carter but it’s not showing up in my comments… I even answered her, but it’s just not showing up… I have NO idea why… It is when I go to my dashboard… so your votes were counted Joy. She picked Welcome Fall, No Easter Parade and Time for Tea… just in case you wanted to know…
    Blessings, Jeanne

  22. All are so pretty so hard to decide but here goes:
    Springtime Delight
    Get Out The Vote
