Shells Styled by Sissy!

Hi everyone,
A few days ago, I asked if anyone had recently learned anything new. I shared a bit of how I had just learned how our zero turn mower worked and then mowed the grass.
Well, Sissy sent me an email about something new she had done. I didn’t share any pictures of my mowing, but she has pictures and they are pretty.

Hi, Jeanne,
Here is something new I did. I have baskets full of orange, yellow, brown and white scallop shells I saved from years of scalloping in Florida. This summer I decided to try to use them in the living room and one in the entry hallway.

Here is the hallway entry in the vase of my dried hydrangeas with the shells.

Next is the one on the dining table in the living room.

The candle holders are ones I made back when I made ceramics using Caladium leaves pressed in the clay.

The rest are also in the living room, one on the table by the couch, and two more on the coffee table in front in the couch.

This is a mermaid Peyton gave me and some porcelain “shells” my older son gave me. I hope y’all enjoy my silly fun with scallop shells.

Shells aren’t SILLY Sissy! You took something you found and created something you liked from them.

If Sissy thought her scallop arrangements were silly, wait till you read the poem I wrote…

Sissy thought maybe her shells were silly
Especially the scalloped kind
They came from the beaches of Florida
She marveled at all she could find
Placed in arrangements all over her house
They brightened her rooms so much
I think Sissy has a real special way
I call it the “Sissy Scallop Touch!”

See everyone tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
