It’s Sister Time, but first some wedding pictures…

Hi everyone,
My sisters are going to be here today and I can’t wait! I visited with them in the hospital waiting room the day my hubby had his surgery, but they left and came on to where I live. (we had planned for them to come before I knew when my hubby’s surgery was going to be scheduled!) I missed all the fun we usually have so I am looking so forward to seeing them this visit!

Meanwhile, since I won’t be doing any sewing (poor Ten Ping again!!!) I am going through my list again of things you all had sent me while I was tied up with my hubby’s care. I was so thankful you all helped me out when I had nothing “dolly-wise” to share with you.

Today we are going to see some wedding pictures from Kathie. I believe this is her grandaughter! Meet the bride and her and groom… Renee and Joe!

This is the prenuptial dinner…

This is Rene’s Grandma Lu and me and Joe’s Grandma Donna.

My Daughter Michelle and Mother of the Bride, Rosie

Michelle did all the flowers, I helped, Rosie made the cakes…oh so yummy. She uses almond oil in the frosting…soooo good!

My sister Rosy, me, my baby brother Bill, my brother Tom.

The first are the bride and groom of course.

The first bridesmaid is Renee’s older sister Emily.

The second bridesmaid is my Granddaughter Annie.

Then Noah, boyfriend of GD Mackenzie( in red), GD Elizabeth, GD Jenny..sisters.

Renee and Joe at the Reception.

Emily and Landon the oldest (25)and youngest(16) Grands☺️

Just a few more pictures…

Flower Granmas Lu Marcotte, Kathie Welsh, B & G, Donna Ruby

Marcotte Family #2

Mike and I, Renee and Joe

The Cake.. oh so yummy… Rosie made regular with Almond flavored frosting, Gluten free and gluten and Dairy free…everyone was covered.
It was just the best day ever❤️

Thank you for sharing your special day with us Kathie! It looks like a good time was had by all!

See everyone tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. What a beautiful wedding that was–thanks so much for sharing pictures, Kathie! I love your dress!

Jeanne have lots of fun with your sisters; so nice that you have them! I just have one brother, and it’s not the same, I’m sure!! (My best friend had four sisters–I thought she was so lucky!! June was the middle of five girls. I’m actually fairly good friends with her youngest sister, too, even though she’s several years younger than I am.)

I took Ron out today and we had lunch, then took the car thru the carwash, and then he had a haircut. The barber was busy so we did have to wait a while. The physical therapist is happy with his improving strength in walking.

Beautiful pictures, Kathie! However, I am thoroughly mixed up on who is who! Are you the grandmother of the bride or groom?

The church was such a lovely setting for the wedding, and what a beautiful gown the bride was wearing! I love the delicate appliqués on the skirt of the dress which showed up so beautifully in the second picture! And you looked fabulous, Kathie!

Such a cute idea for the “I Do Barbecue” rehearsal dinner! Wow, they got a lovely set of silverware! That’s amazing that they got the whole set all at once! I’m still “filling in”mine after being married 56 years! 🤣

It was wonderful for you to share this day with us, and to get us acquainted with your family!

Have a good time with your sisters, Jeanne, but I don’t think you need me to tell you that!❤️

Thanks for the nice comments on the wedding. I didn’t think Jeanne would post them all but they were sent to me in groups and I wasn’t sure on how to separate them.🤔
We have picked up sets of silver through the years for just these occasion. I keep hoping the grand kids will appreciate holidays and family celebrations using something besides paper plates. In fact the first time I met Joe he came with Renee to set up for Christmas… their job was polishing silver…they polished silver . I hope they liked it.
The pictures are the pre nuptial too.
Yes, we are the brides family..she is my Daughter Rosie’s daughter. The family did much of the work for the reception…it was an unusual venue but so nice.

  3. Hi Kathie, what a treat to see your granddaughter’s wedding pictures and those of other family members. Renee’s gown is beautiful. I wish them much happiness even though they don’t know me!
The food looks fabulous and such a good job with the cake. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful family event with us.

Jeanne, I know you will have fun with your sisters !

    1. Thank you Paula for your nice words. It was a day when it all went right… it happens sometimes🥰 love my family.

I’ve been hoping that Kathie, would share some Grandmother Flower Girls photos. So fun. What a grand idea. 🙂
So nice that Jeanne’s sisters are able to return for another visit. Hope they stay out of trouble. 🙂
We ended up with more smoke yesterday. Blowing down again from northern CA and southern Oregon. Seems like the bay area received more than we did though.

  6. Hi Kathie, I so enjoyed seeing your granddaughter’s wedding and all the lovely photos. Renee’s wedding gown is beautiful with the pretty lily(?) appliques. You look wonderful. The BBQ dinner looks like lots of fun. The wedding cake is so very pretty. Gorgeous silverware. I have my grandmother service for 12 set which I cherish as it saw every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter dinner I or my mom can remember.

    Enjoy your sister time, Jeanne.

Thanks Laura You are one traditional girl! Thank you for carrying on traditions like China and silver🤗 Th dress had big leaves as the design she was looking for something a bit different and something halfway decent…so many of the dresses she tried on had slits to the waist!😲

Thank you for posting the wedding pics…I didn’t know how to separate them and they were sent to me in groups. My daughter has two girls…this one who is traditional and the other one who my daughter says will probably be married in a backyard somewhere🫣😍
Have fun with your sisters Jeanne ! Hello Cindy &Deb…we feel like we know you too🤗

Such beautiful wedding photos. Lovely bride and handsome groom. It’s wonderful when family members can provide their expertise in the preparations. Something wonderful to remember. It was nice seeing pictures of Kathie and all the others. I’m glad Jeanne was able to show them all. Thanks Kathie and Jeanne.

I love tradition. My wedding was very traditional. We were married in a church and had the reception in the parish hall which kept the costs down considerably. We decided we’d rather spend the money on our ski honeymoon since we were married in January. Sean and Dionne did the same but my daughter wanted a venue wedding at a plantation house in College Station, TX. She and Jamey paid for it and made all the decisions. Our priest did the ceremony but everything else was as non-traditional as they could make it. But it was a lovely day, which is dicey in early March in southeast Texas, and it was a lovely wedding.

Have a great time with your sisters Jeanne. How nice they could return when you could really enjoy each other’s company.

  9. Susette from Southern California

What lovely pictures of the wedding! Thanks for sharing them with us. It almost feels like we know the people when we get to see lots of pictures. Everyone looks so happy. The flowers and cake look beautiful, as do the bride and all the lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen. The dresses are so pretty.

It’s so nice to see a picture of you, Kathie, the nice lady who put my childhood Mary Hoyer doll back together. I agree about using the silver and china, especially since everyone has dishwashers now, but the silver is still done by hand. I love table settings. That’s certainly a wonderful start to a beautiful table.

  10. Such kind words. We go to Estate Sales often and sets ( these are silver plate) are reasonable so that’s what the g kids will get😉
