Ten Ping (or Mini Sara) now has 5 pieces for this 4th of July set…

Lots of you asked about or commented on my hubby’s garden so I told him I was going to “interview” him and ask him your questions! He just smiled!

I was busy in my sewing room today… and made up for the last few days with not much to show in the “sewing” department!

Ten Ping now has 5 pieces and this is turning out to be a “mix and match” outfit too…and I’m not finished yet!

If you are someone who has just recently received your Mini Ruby Red Fashion Friends Sara doll, this will fit her too. Ten Ping and Sara share the same body, so let’s see what there is to wear.

First up is the little peplum top…it’s all finished with star buttons and snaps on the back.

Next I finished her long pants… and added some star buttons to them as well, along with a little bit of rick rack!

Then I decided she needed a skirt to go under her top to make it look like a dress…

I made these red leather shoes a while back, but dug them out of my shoe stash and will include them with these pieces…

Then I wanted something denim to go with her top, so I made a pair of shorts and stitched them in red, and put some big pockets on the sides. They are a bit oversized, I think… but I’m still going to include them with this set. I need to revise my pattern. I thought this was the pattern I used for the green and blue batik pair I made her, and it may be the same one, but the batik was much thinner fabric, so that may have made the difference…. Anyway, they are fun for her to wear…

Ten Ping… where are you????

I’ll keep working on things and soon this will be a done deal! :o)

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

This is turning into Such a cute set! My favorite is the view with the skirt. I just love that look!! It is so pretty!! And the pockets on her denim shorts–TenPing will be able to put lots of pretty rocks and shells in them if she wears them to the beach!!

I looked back, and have to say congrats on a very successful auction of “Sunflower Charmer”!! Wow!! 17 bids! The last time I’d checked, it only had two bids, so that must have been some bidding war that last day!!

Now, Jeanne, on June 5th you said “tomorrow I’ll update you” on our Sofa Sister’s condition, but I don’t remember seeing anything about her in yesterday’s post. Did i miss it somehow?

Today Ron had his cardio appt. and pacemaker check; all is well there and his condition is stable, at least. The doctor seems to think he’ll make it to his 91st birthday next Jan. This time we used valet parking and a wheelchair for him, so he wouldn’t be exhausted from all the walking (it’s a big building).

And then….we finally made it to Arnie’s for our postponed anniversary dinner! Yay!! We’ve been going there for our anniversary dinner for I don’t know how many years–at least 20, I think. It’s not his favorite, but it’s one of mine, so once a year I get to go! I had my favorite miso steak dinner (on their early-bird menu); it was delicious, as always! He had a burger (big surprise…🥴) and a cup of clam chowder. We both brought food home with us.

Dear Charlotte, I am glad you had a nice anniversary celebration at one of your favorite restaurants. Holding on to tradition is a good thing.

What a cute little outfit for Ten Ping, or any other little doll her size, Jeanne! I too, just love the picture of her in that cute little skirt! She looks like a little firecracker in that! All the pices are sure to please, and the little shorts are too cute! Love the little shoes too!

Yes, you did say you would let us know about our Sofa Sister, but I don’t think you ever did. How is she doing?

Good for you, Charlotte, for getting to go to your favorite dining spot and getting a steak dinner! Ron getting a hamburger sounds just like what my hubby would do!

We will be waiting for your “interview” with George, Jeanne! (even though this is a doll blog!)

Dear Jeanne, three cheers for the red, white, and blue – and for you! The ensemble is so sweet.

Well, good timing on the outfit, Jeanne. Just saw that they are coming out with a new Ten Ping, 60’s style. Same body as the old. 🙂 Also, saw that they will be offering a design it yourself doll. Maybe like AG makes? Not sure of the size yet.
Can’t wait to hear the gardening secrets that George, might reveal. Around here, need his recipe for non toxic weed killer. 🙂

Yes, you did say you would update about our Sofa Sister so I hope you will soon.
Charlotte, I’m glad Ron and you were able to enjoy a belated anniversary dinner.
Ten Ping/Mini Sara’s outfit is cute and patriotic. I will have a lot of fun mix and match pieces.
The wildfires in Halifax are so sad. Of course, we visited there on our Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI vacation. The sky is hazy and smoky here. You can smell it went you step out. We are not to be outside so this morning it was a quick feed and water to the outdoor kitties/ wild animals/ birds and back inside.

I loved visiting Nova Scotia and am so sad to hear of the wildfires. We have a friend in Ohio but he hasn’t mentioned the wildfires being a problem there. We have that problem here in Texas when they burn the fields in Mexico. If the wind is blowing the wrong way our air quality is very bad. We also get the dust from the Sahara at times.

Didn’t get my email today but I found you🤭
This grouping is great. I had to laugh out loud at the pic of all the pieces with Ten Ping hiding behind the bench….what a sense of humor you have🤗
There is going to be a family reunion on July 4 at my sons lake house and I bought some cute 4th of July printed pieces at the quilt store to make some quick table runners and hot pads. I must get moving on it!
Finished re doing the cutest old compo Effanbee Sweetie Pie. Probably one of the dirtiest dolls I’ve done but she didn’t smell and had good compo and good eyelashes and a ok caracul wig. So with a new body cover and deep cleaning, new shoes and socks and a 1940s dress she is pretty spiffy! They have the cutest face and side glancing eyes.
Congrats on your last auction and good luck on this one🥹

The Ten Ping, et al., outfit/wardrobe is becoming more adorable by the day. I caught my dolly daughters on my computer yesterday showing Mini Sara how to access the blog and see what’s being created. Now I’m in trouble because I just know she’s wanting to see this in person.

Designdreamer mentioned yesterday that she was having trouble with the birds getting her tomatoes just as they begin to ripen. We had so much trouble with this my hubby built a cage around them that you had to walk through a door to get in. Wish he could have done the same for the insects that seemed to show up no matter what we did.

    1. Hi
Have you tried tulle over your plants? I cover our blueberries with it. It is very wide…I think 108”. I take big safety pins to anchor it …then it is easy to get to the berries or in your case tomatoes.
It is cheap at Joanne’s and I buy green so it doesn’t show all that much🤭

  7. My favorite view is of the long pants photo. The ric rac really sets this off. And the shoes look like they were made for this outfit! Hmmm what else is around somewhere?
It’s so nice to hear of all the good birthday, anniversary, medical checkups, awards, and nice things happening. Have a great day all.
