More archived dolly outfits!

THANK YOU for all the pictures you have been sending me for tomorrow’s “flower” post. I asked a few days ago if you might send me some of the flowers or plants growing in your yard. I wanted to have a colorful post and so far, it’s looking to be VERY colorful!
If you haven’t sent me any pictures, yet, please do so… even if your flowers are some you picked and put in a vase… that’s okay! :o)

Today was my aunts home going service and it was very nice to be with most of my cousins…only 2 were missing. My brother even drove down 5 hours from Peoria, then drove back home after the lunch they had for the family. I’ll share some pictures in a few days…

Today let’s NOT TALK ABOUT DOLLY DRESSES… I thought I’d pick some pictures that weren’t dresses, but something else… Let’s see what I have found…

Let’s start with Julie… in a couple of 70’s styles…

Isabelle, a 13″ Dianna Little Darling is up next in her pretty Hawaiian take on capris!

I don’t have Millie any more… she was a skinny little Kaye Wiggs doll… This was called Frog in my Pocket…

Wren Pistachio, a Helen Kish doll, is modeling the next 2 outfits that included pants.

Here is Isabelle in a fun Doggie outfit…

Lian, another of my Little Darlings, by Dianna Effner is showing off in her Lovely in Lavender set!

Tiny little 7 1/2″ Riley, by Helen Kish is ready for the rodeo!

And Ann Mei is showing off her debut outfit… all of my Asian dolls got outfits from this fabric!

Well, I need to get to bed… my sisters want a day of shopping tomorrow! FUN FUN FUN!

I’ll see you Friday, with all those pretty garden and flower pictures you are sending me… Keep ’em coming!

Blessings, Jeanne

I’m glad your aunt’s service went well, and so many of the
cousins could be there. That was quite a trek for your brother, to drive 5 hours one way (and then back later in the day)! I’m sure he was tired by the time he got home!!

What cute outfits! And not your “usual thing” of dresses. These are perfect for summer. I love both of Isabelle’s outfits, but of course my favorite is Lian’s, as lavender is really MY color!!

Looking forward to all the flower posts tomorrow!

    (And….RUSSELL is on his way!!!)

  2. Linda in St. Louis

Just seeing these darling outfits lets me know that yes, you CAN do more than pretty dresses, Jeanne! How nice to be able to go from sweet, frilly things to cute, sporty things, and still make them in your one of a kind style!

Julie’s second outfit reminds me so much of the kind of things I made for my daughter when she was small. Isabell’s outfits are among my favorite’s and I remember you making those.

Wren’s vest looks really difficult to make, but it fits her to a “T”! Ann Mei looks completely adorable, I didn’t know you had her, or maybe you don’t anymore! I could go on all day singing praises of these cute outfits!

Can’t wait to see what flowers the Sofa Sisters send in!

Glad your get together went so well. Certainly the right person was in charge.

The doll style show is WONDERFUL! It speaks once again to the need to put together a book. It will write itself! The variety of styles is amazing as well as the obvious skill and experience as a seamstress. Yes, the sheepskin vest is amazing!

I’m looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of gardens, patios and ones in arrangements as you’ve suggested.

Been so busy that I completely forgot about the photos. I’m sure there will be some nice ones.
Looks like the new core line RR doll Jada, will be available starting tomorrow. She’s pretty cute. 🙂 Charlotte, I received a UPS notice for Russell, too. Excited. And Alma, is moving around in Hong Kong, and should be here in a week or so. Looks like there are going to be some more deliveries that need to be carefully watched.
Shopping sounds fun Jeanne. Hope you can find some treasures. 🙂

      Dear Joy, yeaaa, more capers!

How do you display your, uh, “smuggled” in dolls? Do you gradually put them in a curio cabinet? I guess OP doesn’t look at your dolls to see that the collection is expanding. That is certainly a relief.

    2. Charlotte Trayer

Joy, on seeing the first few pictures of Alma that the early recipients have gotten, I’m now kind of wishing I had ordered her. But….I can’t have them all (even though I’d like to), so I guess I will just have to admire from afar. However I do have Russell coming (they wrote and asked me whether I wanted his wig glued on or removable, as I’d forgotten to respond the first time they wrote 🙁), so mine might be a day or two later than yours. And I’m seriously thinking about Jada–glad she will be a core doll that I can order any time!

Dear Jeanne, I am loving this fashion show. I think Ann Mei is adorable. I have never seen her before. Is she a Ruby Red? The outfit is so pretty.

I am glad your Aunt’s service went well. You will always have the memories of her in your heart.

I can’t wait to hear about another sisters’ shopping adventure! I am guessing you three will make some exciting finds.

Dear Joy, thanks for that information. I only have one Kish. That’s Runa, of the Princess and the Pea.

What wonderful summer play outfits. I love them all. What did you do with Millie? I don’t remember you selling her but that might have been before my time. She is adorable and I would have loved to provide her with a forever home but sadly I missed my chance.

So glad your aunt’s going home celebration went well. When my mother passed away I saw people I hadn’t seen in years, including an old boyfriend from high school. He was in town visiting his mother and saw the obituary and showed up at her memorial service. Seeing everyone made the day less sad.

Still working on the swimming pools. I’m getting ready to put the liner together. My pool constructor (grandson Skyy) will not be here today. Jaiden came alone and I doubt she wants to put it together. Not her thing. But hopefully I can get the two liners finished by next Thursday and we can put this project to rest. I have no idea what I am doing with my time but it’s not been pool building but I seem to stay awful busy. My dolly girls are anxiously awaiting their new pool and hopefully some cute swimsuits.

    1. Joy in northern CA

Can’t wait to see the pool pics. What do you plan to use for water? I’ve heard that blue cellophane works really well. Of course, you’ll need pool chairs and beach towels. 🙂

      1. Barbara in SE Texas

It’s 10 p.m. here so I hope you see this Joy. I use that shredded cellophane in iridescent blue like you would use for Easter baskets or gift bags. I used it before for a Barbie pool. It works great and some dolls lay on top of it like they are swimming. If you set them down in it you just have to pull it off when you take them out but it works great. An empty pool does not work for my imagination. I got a big bag from Amazon. The site that has the pool also has beach chairs and I think another of their sites has the pool “inflatables”. The furniture is made from PVC and CPVC pipe and you have to make sure which because there is a decided difference in size between the two. I will definitely take pictures when the construction begins.

    2. HI Barbara,
I saw your questioh about Millie and thought I’d answer… Millie was a tiny little Kaye Wiggs dolls and I had her probably a year or maybe 2. She was just too skinny to suit me… and her legs were a bit “kicky” so she never really posed the way I wanted her to. She was fun while I had her, but she has since moved on…
      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. What fun seeing all the colorful cute summer outfits! Some of those dolls are unfamiliar to me but they all look adorable in your creations, Jeanne.
Enjoy the time with your sisters. Sorry to hear about your aunt – I’m glad you and George have family with you.

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s flower pictures. Most of our flowers are shedding.

    Everyone, have a nice weekend!

  8. Kathie from Omaha

That style show was a real treat! I remember Ann Mei in that darling outfit. That fabric was perfect in several outfits you made😉 All of them are perfect for the dolls personality. Even though some are from several years ago imagine how delighted the dolls owner was to look in her doll clothes for summer and find those awesome outfits.
Glad the funeral services went well seeing the cousins , even at sad times is good.
Looking forward to the flowers and to see the Russell doll. Hope he gets his picture taken for us to see🤔😉
