4th of JULY FEVER, for Ten Ping, is now listed on Ebay!

I hadn’t been on my computer all day, but just noticed Anne left a comment yesterday that was waiting to be okayed by me and I hadn’t seen it. She made it through her surgery… (she got the time wrong)… and is doing well. She was glad to get something to eat after 24 hours!
Now the hard part will come… physical therapy! Just keep thinking happy thoughts of getting back to your quilts, Anne! May the Lord bless you as you start with your exercises! :o)

Thanks for all the nice comments on my hubby’s work clearing out the yard. He did want me to clarify something… the hedges you saw in that one picture weren’t as nice and lush on the left end of the yard as they were on the right end. The left side was mostly bushes, honeysuckle and other things. He said that honeysuckle bunch of roots was probably 80 years old! He wanted to let you know he only is planning to keep the ground there mowed this summer and he’ll decide what he’s going to do this Fall.

I went outside and took some pictures of Ten Ping, but it must have been the high humidity we had that caused my pictures to be fuzzy like. It was extremely humid when I was out there and even my phone had the word HAZE on the home page. That’s what I’d call my pictures… Hazy!
But I think you can still tell what the outfit looks like.

Here are a few pictures of her outside… then I’ll give the link to the listing on Ebay…

I tried taking a picture of Ten Ping on the big gnarly tree roots of one of our trees, but as soon as I stood her up on the root “ledge” I saw 3 big red ants heading down the tree, just above her head, and it looked like they were coming straight for her. I quickly grabbed my white bench, sat her down on it, snapped a picture, then grabbed her up and left that tree! ICK!

I was looking for a box of Cracker Jacks to add to Ten Ping’s listing and I found a pretty hefty bag instead. Ten Ping told me she LOVES Cracker Jacks!

Ok, I better save some pictures for you to see in the listing on Ebay… Here is the link to the auction… (my phone just dinged and I received the first bid!) :o)

Anne, so good to hear from you, and that your surgery went well!! How nice of Sam to set up your tablet for you–at least you can now keep in touch, wherever you are!! Prayers continue for complete healing.

I think TenPing’s ensemble is just wonderful, Jean, and congrats on your first bid! I have a feeling this one is going to have a bidding war; it just has so much going for it!!

I’m hoping Russell will be here soon; I haven’t gotten a tracking link yet, though. Just a note a few days back, wondering whether I wanted his wig glued on or not. My girls are getting pretty excited about meeting their new brother!

I just saw Anne has commented and her surgery is over! So glad to hear that it went well, and I hope it means you will be in ship shape condition from now on, Anne! Good luck with the therapy! You can certainly count on me pulling for you!

Ten Ping looks so cute and “sparkly” in her Fourth of July outfit, Jeanne! Yes, the hazy, humid days of summer are now upon us, even though summer doesn’t actually strat until tomorrow! I do love those outdoor scenes with your beautiful yard in the background! It looks like she is all ready for the parade to start and having that huge bag of Cracker Jacks is sure to be a treat!

Love the outdoor photos. They don’t look hazy at all. Your paradise of a yard with all of that green is amazing. And, I see there is a bid. Oh goody. 🙂
Hope Anne, will have a fast recovery and be back out walking her pup in no time. 🙂
For Charlotte, I did not receive tracking from Ed, for Russell, but did from UPS. Mine was held up in PA, but now somewhere in the U.S. Hopefully, he will arrive this week. 🙂

Dear Jeanne, Ten Ping looks adorable. She is certainly “Miss Liberty” in her new wardrobe.

Prayers continue for Anne. We are saving her place on the sofa.

Dorothy, to answer your question of yesterday, yes I did redress all 60 of the dolls. It takes me quite awhile because I can’t do it for long at a time. Jaiden likes to count them and tells me there are 60. I’d really rather not know. All I can says is that the dolly clothing boxes are stacking higher all the time, but I can’t seem to find a better way to handle their wardrobes and keep them accessible. I always say I’m going to change them the beginning of each month but never seem to do that. Last year they never made it into their Christmas/Holiday frocks and barely made it into their Easter frocks, but I was determined to get their summer clothes on them because I’ve bought and made some really cute things that have been waiting for warmer weather. Soon I hope to be changing them into bathing suits I’ve yet to make, but the pool is nearly finished and ready to open so I’d better get to it.

      1. Wow Barbara, 60 dolly children to dress is amazing. 🙂 I have six PC/AG girls and am very lucky if one or even sometimes two make it into a new outfit each year. They have nice full wardrobes, but finding time is difficult. Luckily, I love what my two RRFFs came in, so they don’t need to change anytime soon.
I hope you’ll share photos so my girls can live vicariously through yours.

Barbara, you must send in pictures of all those amazing dolls you dress! My little crew of 11 is all I can contend with! Kudos to you for even attempting to dress the all!

Dear Barbara, now we all want to see photos (smile). I cannot even imagine how many articles of clothing you must have for 60 dolls.

You used the word frock and I love that word. I use it too. I wonder if it is a Pennsylvania thing.

I keep my dolls’ clothes in white banker boxes. I have had to consolidate them though after I moved because I downsized. Now some of the 18-inch dolls’ clothing shares space with some of the 8-inch dolls’ clothing.

The pretty doll dresses are hanging in the closet in my office. I can them as I type this.

Congratulations on getting Ten Ping’s outfit listed. I know it will be a winner. In spite of all you had to do you still created this “wardrobe” for Ten Ping/Mini Sara/Gigi. Pretty amazing.

So good to hear from Anne that her surgery was successful. She already sounds more chipper. I’ve never had knee or hip problems but I know what my mother-in-law went through with her hips and David with his knees so I’m totally understanding of what she went through and how much better her life will be going forward. Definitely will be praying for that. Also praying that her PT will go well and quickly so she can get back to doing all the things she loves.

I think your outdoor pictures are great. They don’t seem hazy to me. Your yard is so lovely and a great, natural backdrop for pictures.

Absolutely can’t wait to see the pool! The dolls around here have been after me to get going on the pool that I was going to make for them last summer. Bad me. Maybe seeing yours will give me a shove. 🙂 And I’d love to see your girls in their summer outfits as well.

  6. So happy to hear that Anne’s surgery went well. Prayers for a full and fast recovery. Really can’t believe the 4th is so close. the little patriotic outfit is super cute.
