It’s ALWAYS fun when you receive a new doll!!!

Hi everyone,
Not much time devoted to Rose’s outfit today, however I did get a pair of thigh highs made for her and her shoes slipped on just fine! Yay! Sara was standing nearby and she said, “There’s no need to mess up Rose’s dress, so just let me show them…” So I did… and she also wanted to show you a special treat that will go along with this dress set. Ghirardelli!! Bunnies Ghirardelli!

I had Sara take the thigh highs off and I did put them on Rose… so you could see the total look with the dress.

Well, that’s it from me, but Kathie sent me some wonderful pictures of a new doll SHE received and she is cute… Meet Ashley…

She’s one of the new Siblies from Ruby Red Fashion Friends… 12″ tall…

Yep, judging by the many pictures Kathie took, I’d say she just got cured of any Dolly Fever she may have had! :o) I loved it… she said the box came in the mail and her hubby brought the box to her… ALONG WITH A BOX CUTTER to open it! How sweet was that???

She is very sweet, Kathie… thanks for the pictures…

See everyone tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

I really like the look of the white thigh-highs with Rose’s new dress and shoes. I think they really finish the look.

Congrats on your new doll, Kathie!! Ashley is much cuter than her original pictures showed. And…does she have a GREEN mani-pedi??? How fun!

The one thing that bothered me about this particular edition was the little “bralette”–and I think if they had left off that center row of black lace, it might have been okay, as it would look more like a camisole. But, it’s only clothes, and those can be changed. All in all, though, I really like her. Has she picked out some new outfits yet?

    1. HI Charlotte,
Thanks for your compliments on Rose’s outfit. It’s ALL finished… and so listing it is next!
Isn’t Ashley sweet? I think I might have bought her or Mackenzie if I had seen one in person…

Hope Ron is in good hands and gets to come home soon without Covid! :o)
      Thanks Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

For a minute ther, I thought YOU were the one with the new doll! Rose looks very nice in her new outfit, which I am sure won’t be hers for long! The new hose and the slip make it look almost complete, but is there going to be anything for her hair? I can’t believe there won’t be!

Kathie, congratulations on your new doll! I’m sure you will have fun with her! What a cute outfit and purse!

    1. Hi Linda,
Nope, no new dolly’s here for now… I was expecting something in the mail today and I told me hubby to watch for the FedEx truck… he looked at me and I said, “no, it’s not a doll!” :o)
Yes, there is something for Rose’s hair… you’ll see in the morning. I think you’ll like it!
I just got all of my pictures taken and cropped and edited and picked out for my Ebay listing… hopefully it will go on tomorrow night…
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

Love seeing Ashley. She is such a sweet doll. Congrats to Kathie. 🙂
Nice that Sara could help out Rose with modeling today. The thigh highs are a nice touch and candy a plus. 🙂
Started raining a few minutes ago. Not looking forward to this tropical storm as some places may have flooding. At least I don’t have to water the plants. 🙂

    1. Thanks Joy,
My girls will do anything to be in the limelight for even just a few minutes!
If you think the candy and thigh highs were nice, wait till you see tomorrow’s post! Hopefully getting it listed will be quick!
We have had a few rainy days…and yesterday afternoon I was on my way home from town and had to stop at Walmart for a few minutes..It was 46 degrees but the windchill was pretty chilly and it started sleeting for just a few minutes.. popping all over the hood of my car.. I couldn’t believe it! Today we has sprinkles off and on all day…
Good outlook… no watering the plants.
Thanks Joy, ( I still can’t get over those slumber party pics!)
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Thigh highs are the perfect finishing touch, they show off the shoes so nicely. The flower colors are awesome, I need a stash like that!
Kathie you new girl is adorable. As Charlotte said she is much cuter in your photos than her publicity pic’s. Your pic’s make me want her too! Her outfit seems perfect for some mix n match. I can’t wait to see some different outfits and styles on her so please share.

    1. Hi Dorothy,
Looks like Kathie’s pictures made more than just me want Ashley. I wasn’t thrilled with the promotion pictures either…
Thanks for your compliments on Rose’s outfit so far… wait till tomorrow… it’s all done!
      Thanks Dorothy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

Those are your cutest shoes ever — unless I’ve forgotten some. It’s nice that Ashley and Rose are color coordinated — it makes a nice unified column.

Love Ashley’s shoes, too, and that tiny zipper, but what I thought was the cutest part of the outfit was the camisole. The intense green with the black trim made it just the right thing to wear under that outfit.

I had hoped that I’d bought my last AG (Farideh — #108 — who was to be Middle Eastern, in honor of Iranian high school friends). But I suddenly realized I wanted a blonde doll (maybe to represent me in high school) to be named Nora, who is, surprisingly (and unlike me), not into clothes. She likes skates and jeans, tee shirts and sweaters. Fortunately, I had friends going to the Columbus store, and they volunteered to pick out the prettiest Isabel to be my Nora. She may not be into Jeanne Marie fashions, but everyone else here is.

By the way, on my computer, Rose looks lovely and not at all washed out. Speaking of that, how’s your back yard?

    1. HI Marilyn,
Thanks for the sweet words on Rose’s shoes… I was pretty proud of them… every time I make a pair, I try to improve on something… getting my pattern perfected was the best thing I could have done… hopefully it will be my last pattern attempt at Mary Janes…

I have totally given up on saying “this is my LAST doll.” It’s just not going to happen, I don’t think! :o)

Congrats on Nora… (nice name!) :o) I hope she’s the prettiest one you’ve ever had! Isn’t it fun to buy a new doll? Just ask Kathie! :o)

Thanks for telling you think Rose looks pretty in my pictures. I wasn’t really happy with today’s photo shoot, but I think I captured some nice shots.

The “Cement Pond” has drained and is now a soggy bog. It stayed full of water for a full day… we REALLY had a lot of rain that day!
      Thanks Marilyn,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Sally from Colorado

Jeanne, with the changes to the jacket and the addition of the spectacular shoes, this outfit is pure joy. While I absolutely love thigh highs, I do wish you used a finer, more delicate fabric from underpants. This just looks “heavy” for the season to me. And. Rose is just beautiful and your pictures are great.
Kathie, this little girl is cute as can be. When I first saw them, I was horrified, and like Charlotte, I have the same thinking about the camisole. I plan on ordering this young miss today, along with Minnie. Easier to have two boxes taped together. Ha-ha!
Hope your new Nora meets your expectations, Marilyn. Congratulations to you and Kathie.
Charlotte, so glad you had fun and Ron did well.
Joy, good luck with the coming weather. Yikes.

    1. HI Sally,
I’m glad you “mostly” like the pieces to Rose’s set… They might look a little heavy, but really they aren’t… they are pretty thin. The reason I used the panties I did, was because I have used up all my little girls tights in white that were without designs on them… and the new tights I generally find at Walmart are microfiber and are SO cheaply made, they snag like crazy… you just touch them and your fingers make them have the “fuzzies.” I didn’t want that… I have searched and searched for something other than microfiber and there isn’t anything anywhere that I can find. I have looked at the thrift stores for older tights and stretch tops, dancewear, to use, and can’t find anything in white. I’m still looking though.
Maybe tomorrow, the tights will be overtaken by something else! :o)
      Thanks Sally,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Barbara in SE Texas

Kathie, Ashley is adorable. What a great addition to your family.

Jeanne, the thigh highs fit perfectly with the shoes. And it doesn’t get better than Ghirardelli Bunnies. I know you will add something to her hair/head. Looking forward to seeing what that will be.

    1. HI Barbara,
Yes, you’ll see what else I added tomorrow! I hope you’ll like it! Thanks for the thumbs up on the thigh highs. I found some teeny tiny jars of Nutella and they had the lime green lids… I wanted to use them, but decided on the bunnies!
      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. Well I was reading yesterdays post earlier this morning.🤪 the tights are just what she needed with her cuter than cute shoes.
Hummm Ashley told me she saw a peek of this latest dress.😲. She reminded me she has lime green places in her hair!
I took all those pictures because the way the doll was packaged has certainly been improved. My other RRFF were not near as nicely packed. I did have to put a teeny bit of 3in 1 on a paper towel and touch the zipper but works great now.
Mike actually likes dolls…I guess he has to….he is surrounded🤭

    1. Hi Kathie,
Well, it looks like Ashley sold herself on a few of the ladies here… your pictures WERE better than the promotion pictures!
Just tell Ashley this won’t fit her…she’s a Siblie and siblies are too small for this…
I LOVED that your hubby brought you a box cutter to open the box! Yep, he’s a keeper! :o)
      Thanks so much for sharing!
      Blessings, Jeanne
