Every little dolly wants a bunny for Easter, right?

Remember I told you Noel was digging around in the Dolly Toy Box? Well, she decided on what toy she wanted… a sweet little yellow bunny! She is adorable and Noel instantly named her FooFoo…sound familiar? I think Susette either sent these to me, or she gave me the seller’s name on Ebay and I bought them… I can’t remember, but this is my last one and she’s just perfect for Noel’s dress set.

Now, if you were scrutinizing my pictures, you probably saw I replaced that red button with a pink one… okay on all the buttons now?

One more thing… I decided to make Noel a pair of white thigh highs to wear with her dress… with or without the pantalettes…

I had a pair of pink shoes that fit her pretty well, since a few of you mentioned flats or Mary Janes…

I also tried her pantalettes on over the thigh highs and tried on a pair of white shoes… Now I’m second guessing myself on those blue boots with this dress set. Maybe the boots should go with another set sometime, something more casual? Maybe?

We had a busy day at the Food Pantry today as it wasn’t open on Wednesday, due to the snow, so there was twice as much to do today… I just didn’t have much time in my sewing room this evening.

Have a wonderful weekend!
See you Monday!
Blessings, Jeanne

Everything turned out beautifully, Jeanne, the minute you downplayed the red! I did notice the pink button, and it seems “just right” for the jacket!

Putting tights and Mary Jane’s on her made the dress look so “Sunday School Special” too! Much better all the way around!

That bunny is the perfect little something “extra” for her! What a darling Easter outfit!

It always surprises me How Much Difference one small change can make, but that is the case with that pink button on the pink flower. It is just Perfect, now!!

And I do love the thigh-highs with the dress, too. So nice that Noel will have a choice!

You may be right about the blue boots; cute as they are, they might be better with something a little more casual in style. Or you can include them and let the dolly mom decide which her little girl should wear. Decisions, decisions….

Happy Birthday Charlotte. I think you and I are the same age but I’m not sure which of us gets there first.

I like the changes to Noel outfit also. The pink shoes seem to match the jacket perfectly. The pink button is softer and blends instead of jumping out of the picture.

Joy, I agree with Sallyโ€™s method of dealing with package delivery. Not only do I act disinterested but I throw in an eye roll of disdain and mutter โ€œI donโ€™t know who could be sending these packages.โ€

That is a great comeback! I think I will use that next time. Hope I can remember under pressure. ๐Ÿ™‚

There we go! Love the new flower button and the thigh highs with the white shoes. She looks adorable in the outfit. Much more feminine. I think the boots would work as well, they are cute too, but with lace topped socks and without the pantalettes. I’m still a fan of a sleeveless lace simple top to go with the pantalettes for another look. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m really impressed with the changes and sorry I’ve been such a nag. Lots going on around here, so often forgetting to bite my tongue.
Any thoughts to selling thigh highs on your website? We could use a lot of those around here. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, and for the first time, I didn’t receive the blog today. I wonder why? Checked spam and not there. Guess I’ll find out on Monday.

  5. Very well pulled together outfit. The slight color changes fit the over all look. The only problem with the blue boots was that the emphasis has been on pink (bias gingham trim, jacket, hair bow). The same outfit in this material with blue trim, jacket, buttons, hair bow and the blue boots would be just as adorable. That material is just so versatile color wise that it encourages an artistโ€™s flexibility and we all know how creative you are. Iโ€™d like to see what could be done with yellows. Especially those fringed one you do so well.
Happy birthday Charlotte! So glad you had some great grand baby time. Hope someone got a picture of you with him for his memory book for him to see someday.
Joy, poor Other Person has been waiting a long time for a โ€œgotchaโ€ moment, lol!

  6. The jacket is perfect now. I like the white MJs best with the thigh highs. The pantalettes look cute as well.

I’m one of those mothers who thinks pretty tights and dressy shoes should be worn with a Sunday best dress. So I’m over the moon with the thigh highs and pretty shoes. Makes me sad that most mothers today don’t even think about their girls dressing up for church. At Easter they often look like they are wearing what we used to call play clothes. And that would include my own granddaughter. I used to buy her an Easter dress (making one for her is a no-no). Now that she’s older I get the stink eye from her mother for even mentioning it.

I like Joy’s idea of putting thigh highs in your Etsy shop. Thigh highs and tights are not hard to make but I’d rather spend the time on other types of wearing apparel. And I have had a few instances where I’ve made pretty lace tights and my dolly daughter has been careless in putting them on and put her foot through them. I once did a “save” that ended up looking pretty cute. I cut off the tights at the knee and put them under a pair of short shorts.

Little Bunny Foo-Foo is totally adorable. Hopefully he doesn’t have the “nature” of his namesake.

  8. Making thigh highs for your Etsy shop is a great idea. The white shoes are awesome.
Everything looks perfect. Good luck with your auction๐Ÿ‘
