More headbands for the Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls and Siblies…

I wasn’t feeling great enough to do anything big today, so Rebecca made more beaded headbands and I tried to learn how! I took some pictures of the ones from yesterday that are left and the new ones she made today. I can’t see well enough to do pictures on every single doll, but if you need to see something on a certain doll, I can try. Actually, this “bubble” thing in my eye (which isn’t visible to anyone but me) has gotten smaller but it’s still blue like Dawn dishwashing liquid, but I’ve decided it’s like a blue water balloon hanging on my left cheek…about the size of a baseball now… it wiggles and jiggles when I walk or move and when I bend slightly forward it moves up and covers my whole line of sight. I found out it was a kind of gas or liquid that was put in my eye to keep things from sticking together while they heal. If you tip your head back the “bubble” goes down by my chin… it’s weird! I can see through the bubble, but it’s blurry…

Okay, enough on that…

Here are some pictures of the headbands and necklaces… first the ones left from yesterday…

These are the new ones Rebecca made today…

I’ll show them on a couple of dolls…

First up is Stella…

I didn’t have all these beads and bobbles… she went to Joann’s today and shopped…

I tried to take a couple pictures of each headband so you could see if from different angles.

Now, just to show you how versatile the headbands are… here they are on Sydney, the 12″ Ruby Red Fashion Friends Siblies doll…

She used some memory wire and made a few that fit my 10″ Boneka, Noel… and they also looked sweet on my 8″ Ten Ping doll…

The headband for the Boneka dolls makes a great size for a necklace for the Ruby Red Fashion Friends… Here is Stella showing you…

Then Rebecca made some tiny necklaces for the Boneka dolls too… they also looked sweet on my 8″ Ten Ping…

Again, if you are interested in seeing something on a certain doll that I have, just let me know…

I’m selling them here on my blog first before putting them on Etsy… ALL WITH FREE SHIPPING!
One headband or necklace is $8.00
Two headbands or necklaces are $14.00
Three headbands or necklaces are $20.00
Four headbands or necklaces are $25.00

Rebecca was quite busy today… she sold a few necklaces and then made 3 for a special order! :o)

I will see you Monday…It’s our 41st Anniversary and Karn and Rebecca’s 1st! We are going to celebrate somehow Saturday! :o)

Blessings, Jeanne

A very happy anniversary to Jeanne and George, and also to Rebecca and Karn!! Hope you are able to celebrate in some special way.

Oh, my goodness, Jeanne, having that “bubble” in your eye is quite an experience for you! I do hope and pray it dissipates soon. You need your eyes!!

The new headbands/necklaces are lovely. Rebecca has been busy!!

Thanks for all the nice congratulatory notes! I was pretty excited. I promise to get those photos to Jeanne this weekend, but not tonight, as it was a long day (judging again) and I walked more than I’m used to, so I’m quite tired.

Charlotte, I didn’t get on this yesterday, but was very excited to hear about all those accolades; what a day for you. No doubt, a lot of time was put into your products. Congratulations!

    2. Congratulations from me too, Charlotte! It’s fun getting blue ribbons isn’t it?
      Blessings, Jeanne

It is, Jeanne, but this was beyond blue ribbons–rosettes are only awarded to the “best of the best”! Four of mine were class winners, and one was a division winner (meaning, it had to be a class winner first!)

  2. Linda in St. Louis

Happy Anniversary to both couples! Rebecca and Karn have a long way to go to achieve what you and George have, but they are well on their way! Whatever you do, have fun!

Oh, those headbands are so cute! I am trying to figure out what colors look best on both Emmie and Betsy. They both have the darker hair, so I want somehting that shows up in their hair. They are both excited about those kitty headbands!

Which makes me laugh when i saw those two smaller ones that Rebecca just made. I thought they were headbands for the pets!! Shades of Laura here! I guess they could also be collars if you want to get fancy!! 🙂

These are just adorable and I am having a time trying to figure out what I want!
I’m hoping that “bubble” soon dissipates and you are back to normal again, Jeanne!.

    1. Hi Linda,
Well, my bubble is about the size of a tennis ball now…so it’s shrinking.
Rebecca and I have had quite a week crafting. She was heading to bed a little while ago and gave me the biggest hug and said she had a great time too!!
      Thanks,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Good morning! Hope your eye straightens out fast. I sympathize about eyes, I too, experience eye problems. Wishing you a Happy Anniversary!

I’m not sure if this is the place to put in my choice of head bands but will tell you which ones I want.

For Ruby Red girls: 1. Pearl with 3 colors of flowers – 2. Pearl and gold with gold heart.

Siblies: 1. Pearl with 3 colors flowers – 2. Pearl and gold with gold heart.

Wishing you a very lovely day and let Rebecca know she is a true artist with making beautiful beading!!

    1. Hi Jan,
I sent you an email asking if you meant 2 necklaces or 4… the Siblies and the Ruby Red Fashion Friends wear the same size headbands, so did you want a pair of duplicate headbands for each doll or just 2 to share?
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Happy Anniversary to you and George as well as Rebecca and Karn ! Enjoy celebrating!
Jeanne, hope the eye normalizes soon. That certainly can’t be comfortable.
Those headbands and necklaces are really beautiful!! So many styles to choose from. Rebecca, you are so talented. Is there any chance for a Scottish plaid bow on a headband? ( any colored plaid.) Might there be some headbands for the AMG girls?
    Just asking.

    1. Hi Paula,
Rebecca set up a card table (with all my beads and some she bought) by the fireplace and started beading…and worked all week long. We’ve had a really great time crafting together… her hubby said he’s going to have to build her a craft room!!
      Thanks Paula,
      Blessings, Jeanne

Looks like a headband making frenzy at Jeanne’s. Everyone’s dolls will look so festive. Such a great idea.
Sorry that gas bubble that I mentioned other person also experienced is taking awhile to dissipate. With a detached retina, the gas bubble remains for many weeks. He’s lucky to have any vision at all in his eye, so the bubble was a minor distraction. If anyone ever sees a 1/2 moon dark area at the side of their vision field, run don’t wait to get into a vision specialist because it could be a detached retina. If caught early enough, vision can be saved.
Both Evangeline and Gigi arrived yesterday after their long journey from China. Hoping to get them dressed sometime today. 🙂
Have a nice celebration with George and R&K. Have a fun holiday weekend everyone, 🙂

    1. Hi Joy,
A frenzy? More like a disaster! My room is a mess! Now I have to work extra hard to get it straightened up because my sisters are coming next weekend for a few days… I’ve got to turn to around here!!!
Congratulations on your two new girls! Lots of news dolls for everyone… when Cindy and Deb leave we might have to have a little fashion show!!
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Happy Anniversary to all of you. Seems like only yesterday doesn’t it?
The headbands and necklaces are wonderful and so diverse. Love ‘em. I have some too small memory wire that now I know what to do with it. Great use of the flower beads that have been a challenge on how to tastefully use. Also these necklaces don’t need clasps! So much talent in one family.
And I’ll bet Reuben is in 7th heaven. Glad to know both you and hubby are healing well. Happy Holiday to all, including the sofa sisters.

    1. Hi Dorothy,
Rebecca was telling me it was a very fast year!
Reuben is gonna be sad tomorrow as Rebecca and Karn are heading back home…
We’ve had a very nice week together!
      Have fun beading!!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Hope your eye gets better soon, Jeanne. it will be worth it for better vision.
Happy Anniversary to George and you as well as Rebecca and Karn. The hair bands are cute. I may need to give that a try. Have a great holiday everyone. Congratulations, on all your ribbons, Charlotte. What a wonderful achievement!

    1. Hi Laura,
I am already thinking about the right eye now… im definitely going to have it done too… not having all those floaters is wonderful!

Have a nice holiday to you too!!
      Thank you Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. Glad Rebecca is keeping you busy so you don’t have to concentrate on the eye so much. You are so patient.
Love the pearls as the main bead on the hair bands…they look good with everything.
Anniversaries all over the place! Congrats to all of you!

    1. Hi Kathie,
Rebecca certainly has kept me busy…busy watching her as she made lots of fun things for the dolls. Her hubby said he was going to have to build her a craft room!!! She smiled!
      Thank you Kathie
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. Sally from Colorado

Happy anniversary, Jeanne, George, Rebecca and Karn. Enjoy your celebration and keep getting better vision. Lovely necklaces and headbands! 👏👍🥰

    1. Thank you Sally!
It’s great having those floaters gone… wonderful to see clearly!!
We’ve had lots of fun crafting and dreaming this week!
