Hair accessories for my Ruby Red Fashion Friends Christmas dresses…

Hi everyone,
We are just starting to get a storm…so I’ve just added my pictures quickly so you can see what I’ve gotten accomplished today, but not much else… If the storm hits too quickly, I’ll lose my internet connection and my modem will go off… that’s why I just wanted to get my pictures loaded and published…

As long as it’s just flickering, I can keep writing… but if it goes off, I’m going to bed…

First of all, I apologize for getting the wrong name on my post today… the lady who bought the slip from my Etsy shop… I said Carolyn Walker and it was actually Carolyn Marker… Duh… my hubby was talking to me last night right while I was trying to write my post. I need to just stop and listen to what he’s saying instead of thinking I can listen and write at the same time…

Anyway, thank you Ingrid for contacting Carolyn… I’m assuming you meant Carolyn Marker? And Elaine too, thank you for what you’ve done. I saw your email and thank you for getting in touch with her. She hasn’t responded to my emails but I’m not even sure they are going through because I’m apparently not considered an Etsy member right now… I know my shop looks normal, but it’s just a free standing shop with no one at the helm! Yikes!!

I do have a question… HOW DO YOU FIND SOMEONE on Etsy? I can’t figure out how you ladies did that… I can’t access anything that says members or seller names on Etsy… I’d like to know how you did it…

I’m going to have to quit… before I lose my connection…

I hope you enjoy the pictures below… they are pretty self explanatory…

Sarah’s two hair bows…

Rozen’s beret…

Stella’s headband with beaded bow…

My three Christmas girls…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

I hope you get your Etsy stuff sorted out, Jeanne. So frustrating for you!!

Your girls look very pleased with their new accessories!! So festive!!

The other day when I was getting my LDs ready for swap pictures, I realized I had never made Delaney a smocked dress like I did for the others. So tonight we looked at fabrics, and she chose a bright green/white diagonal check with bright red cherries on it. I will Probably do the smocking in green and white, and Possibly add just a bit of red accent. We shall see. I rarely know exactly what designs I will smock until I start working on it!

I started writing earlier, but apparently, lost it! Here goes again, and I will make it short and sweet! Three perfectly matched headpieces for each dress! Each different, yet each the perfect thing for the dress it adorns! Can some pretty slips be next??

Good luck on finding Carolyn Marker, Jeanne, and getting your Etsy shop back!

Perfect accessories for the lovely holiday dresses. The girls look so sweet.
I too looked for both Carolyn Walker and Carolyn Marker on some FB groups to no avail after I sent you the email about the name switch. I’m wondering if emails to her directly, through her Etsy comment address would go through or if that response too has been hacked? Is there another comment from someone you know that you might be able to do a test on to see if that part of your store is working? Perhaps, from another computer/address? Also a Google search for Etsy phone numbers turned up a lot of different numbers. They talk about how responsive they are too. Maybe try some of those numbers? Although, I’m sure you have tried. Unless you can get through to Etsy, not sure how you can get everything fixed and change your password. Did you try contacting Etsy by email and telling them you received gibberish in a request for a password change? They must have a fraud division. Maybe try getting that number also. They are a huge company. Look up the owners and send an email to one of their top people. I’ll bet someone will answer. 🙂 I did not send an email to Carolyn Marker as others said they had done so. I presume, that they went to the comments on your site and selected most recent and then found Carolyn’s comment at the top. There, you can click on her name and send her an email. Again, not sure that it would go through, but you might do that test on a comment from someone you know. 🙂 You can also type in her name at the search on the top of Etsy. I haven’t done that in awhile, but I think you can look for shop owners as well. I have not found a place to search for actual Etsy members yet. Hope you can find someone that knows how to repair the damage. Seems like Etsy should be more responsive to their shop owners.

Joy, I took your advice and looked at Rubyredtoys.com. It says there is a standard shipping charge of $15 I am assuming that is US dollars. If that is the case then I might be able to afford one of the RRFF. Which one to get though!! Decisions, decisions

I think I would email them. They have always responded very quickly to my shipping questions. I would ask for their shipping cost to New Zealand and whether or not they pay any customs tax or if you will have to pay that or if there is any at all. There may be places they do not ship. Also, when you are on RRFFToys, there is a place on the top bar to look for places that sell dolls worldwide aka their dealers. I know that there is a dealer in Australia and maybe even in NZ. The three original cuties Sara, Bella, and Hanna are adorable. Then there are Maya and Kayla as well as the special edition kids which usually cost more. They are all fun. Hope you get one. 🙂

  4. Hi Jeanne,
I think your girls look very smart and pleased with their lovely outfits. I love a big hair bow,,, so very sweet.
To answer your question. I found Carolyn by looking at your sold items, then seeing the review she left I knew it was her. I wasn’t sure of her name but it doesn’t really matter, many people don’t use their real name when making an account on line. After finding the comment I clicked on her name which then takes you to her etsy page/account page. Next to her name is the word follow and also an email icon. Clicking on that you can email her through her etsy account. It also sends the message to her email whether it’s yahoo or goggle or whatever she used to set up her etsy account. I sent her the following message.

    Hello Carolyn,
Jeanne the lady that you bought the patsy slip from ( idreamofjeannemarie ) is locked out of her etsy shop and is desperate to reach you. She wants to refund your money and send you the slip please reach out to her. She doesn’t have your address or email. Idreamofjeannemarie.com

Hind sight I should have enclosed your email but I wasn’t in my email and couldn’t recall it.
I hope she reads my message but there is no guarantee she will open a message from someone she doesn’t know. I do hope you can reach some at etsy and get it all straightened out.

    Hugs
    Ingrid

I don’t open e-mail from people or places I’m not familiar with so when I send an e-mail to someone who doesn’t know me I try to include a “clue” for why I’m sending the e-mail in the subject line.

Gosh…Etsy is going to lose customers by ignoring their sellers issues. Sorry you have this headache to work through. Sometimes I get out of patience with EBay but on the whole they are easy to work with….and you can get to a real person if you need to.
The dolls look just so festive and the various head gear is of course very sweet on them. You picked the perfect colors to enhance each dolls coloring too. I have Bella and good thing she is in the other room…if she saw these she would be trying to get to the IPad to order herself one! Did someone say Dianna Effner carved the FF faces? I sure treasure my Little Darlings even more now…especially the smiling one.

    1. Joy in northern CA

Yes, the smiley cutie is by Dianna Effner as are several of the others. The Siblies, which are smaller are close in size to the LD’s. 🙂

  6. Rozen sure looks like a wee Scottish lassie in her plaid dress and tam o shanter.
Sara and Stella look sweet with bows and hairband. So glad you started on Christmas early as this way there will be many lovely dresses to view.

Hope you getting your Etsy troubles fixed, Jeanne.

I love the hair accessories. They go so well with the dresses.

I hope you get your Etsy situation fixed soon. I’ve never heard of anything like your situation happening before. They really should offer more support for the shopkeepers.

The hair accessories are perfect, each one different and special. Good luck with Etsy. Be careful when there are storms in the area, especially when there’s lightning. Maybe wait for the storm to pass before using electronics.
