~ Preview in Blue ~ for Effner Little Darlings is on Ebay…

I was very good and got Lian’s dress listed on Ebay! Yay! If you want to check it out you can see it by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE. I could NOT get my pictures to stop cutting of the head of Lian… but it will still get you to Ebay as it is.

I took Lian outside and used my “faux” grass for some “Summer’s End” pictures. I used my kabob sticks behind her and she did very well. I finally figured our birdbath was a good height to put my Styrofoam on and take pictures on. No more stacking boxes and using clamps and bungee cords. It was a pretty quick set up. I wish I had taken a picture from far away now, so you could have seen my set up. :o)

But I’ll just show you my outdoor pictures instead…

I like the outdoor pictures because they look so sweet with that blue against the green grass… Hope you agree.

Well, I know that was quick but that’s it for today… I hope you’ll come back tomorrow… :o)

Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Lian’s outfit turned out really nice, Jeanne! I love the outdoor pictures–and you know, it’s hard to see where your “grass” ends and the real lawn begins, so it looks like she really is standing on the lawn outside!! Adds a lot to the pictures, I think!!

    Good luck on your auction!

    1. Thanks so much Charlotte,
It won’t be that long until I will have her standing in a pile of leave…I’m enjoying the green grass while it’s still around!
      Thanks,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Perfect, Jeanne, in every which way! I do love the blue-green combination, and Lian looks so sweet standing there on the “lawn”! Everything turned out so well for this outfit, except for the Callie Rose disappointment, but at least you know now!

I wish summer WOULD end, today will be 93 degrees, and heat index more like 100 or 101! But the days are getting shorter, and the sun is not so high in the sky, so little by little fall will be here, and I’m ready!! I’m putting up my fall decorations now, in the hopes that it will speed things up!!

    1. Thank you Linda,
One of my favorite color combinations is kelly green and navy… this is pretty close…with a “hint” of pink!!

It’s hot here too…91 is the temp and the heat index makes it feel like it’s 97! George just left to go finish up some work and he wasn’t looking forward to going back out in it.
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. Let’s share weather! It rained all weekend (plus thunder and lightning–pretty rare out here, 2200 strikes in about 5 hours over the Puget Sound area!), and today was partly sunny and got UP to 70 or so! Brrr…..I’d love to have a little of your heat!

  3. Lian is surely a charmer in that “Preview in Blue” outfit. George’s pink suggestions and your needlework expertise have made this a very pleasing outfit…someone will be very happy with it.

    Take care and blessings.

    1. Thank you, Becky,
I’m glad you like Lian’s dress. It looks so pretty on her in person. I wish everyone could see it the way I do.
      Thank you very much, Becky
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. What a Darling dress this turned out to be. So many pieces in every ensemble you create. Thanks for the reminder about buying the little girls’ tights for fabric.

A reminder: I got my for-the-old-people flu shot yesterday, an amped up version for those over 65, or maybe even 55.

    1. Thank you, Susette
I’m glad you enjoyed todays post…and I hope you find some tights to make your tights!!

Good girl on the flu shot!!…and you’re not old…you’re young …with some strange number attached to you!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Love your outdoor photos! Who would have thought to use the birdbath. Nothing like multi use. 🙂 I seem to always end up using the built in deck bench for my photos. If I’m on my knees, I can usually get a pretty good angle for photos. And I can prop the dollies up against the back railing to keep them steady.
Toilet is fixed. No more leak so we’re good until remodel time. Then we’ll get a new model.
Glad you have Lian’s dress listed. Wonder what will be next? Cabinets? Fall baking?
It’s going to be hot and climbing up again until the weekend here. Not looking forward to that.

    1. Hi Joy,
Yeah…the birdbath was there all the time…just dump the water out…let it dry a few minutes and it works perfectly as my new stand… :o)

Good news on the toilet…way to go…to your plumber!! :o)

I’m back from a funeral this morning…trying to decide what I’m doing next… I need to go see my mom, but I’d like to work in my sewing room…hmmm…what to do…
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings,Jeanne

  6. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Jeanne, Lian looks adorable in her outfit. I especially like the bow. I think that little girls look so sweet with bows in their hair.

A friend from Doll Club told me that she is going to Florida for 6 months. I told her I was going to be a stowaway. Then I thought, where do I really want to go.

The answer came swiftly: Paris! So I am packing up my girls (I don’t know exactly how many I have and I guess they all need passports) and I am going to Paris (well, really just in my imagination).

Jusqu’à la prochaine fois (until next time), Dorothy in Paris (chuckle)

    1. Dorothy in PA and the World and Paris!! I love it. Hope you and the girls have a lovely imaginative trip. If you lived closer I’d let you borrow my Eiffel Tower poster.

    2. Hi Dorothy,
I like hair bows too and always used to include one when I made little girls dresses.

I hope you have s wonderful time in “Paris!” We have a Paris Illinois if you get lost or don’t want to fly over the ocean! :o) Also a Paris,TN and a Paris, MO too…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. I viewed Preview in Blue on Ebay. It is a lovely ensemble and the name is so fitting. I’ve got to get me some of that grass. It is almost seamless in your pictures and adds so much to the effect.

It’s in the mid to high 90s here right now and will be like that until we get our first Fall front. None in sight at the moment, hence the trip to Colorado. I need to go somewhere I can breathe. But at least we’re getting rain now. Had some the last two afternoons and are expecting more today. Things are already looking greener.

    1. Hi Barbara,
I just saw a brand new roll of that grass at my Goodwill the other day…picked it up, carried it around, then decided I didn’t need 2 of them so I put it back. At $6, I probably should have gotten it!

I hope you have a wonderful time in Colorado!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. Even knowing the grass under the doll was fake it was hard to tell where one left off and the other started.
    Colors look so pretty outside.
    Good luck with the auction!

    1. Thank you Kathie,
I guess I’ll savor the green grass as long as I can!
      Thanks so much!
      Blessings, Jeanne
