Dolls to share and a doll to sell…

This is going to be an easy post… my Friday was booked from 9:15a.m. till now…it’s 11:44p.m. … so this will have to be something quick.

Who doesn’t love a new doll? NO ONE said everyone! :o)

A few of our ladies got new dolls… and I thought everyone might want to start their Saturday off by seeing them…

Joy is up first… She got a new Giggi from My Meadow dolls… I’m not sure if she’s the Twinkles size (6 1/2″) or the Dumplings size (11″) but I’m guessing she’s a Dumpling! I think we’ll have to wait for Joy to tell us… Isn’t she a cutie? I bet she’s having lots of fun with her other sisters!

Paula also received a new doll… an American Girl doll… Luciana Vega. But she’s been renamed Christian, after Paula’s niece. Paula said she fits in perfectly with her 50’s girls. I think she does too! This is our second cutie of the day! I see Paula has Caroline’s Parlor… *sigh*

And I have a doll to show you… she’s a 13″ Corolle Les Cheries doll…the Ballerina one, and she is in excellent condition. I believe the blonde dolls with the blue eyes were named Camille. I also think they came out in 2001. She smells like Vanilla and when she’s in my sewing room I can smell her when I walk into the room! Ummmm! :o)

She has a flawless complexion without any marks or rubs. Both eyes have perfect little eyelashes.

Her hair is in the original hairstyle with clear bands holding 2 pony tails in the back. 2 little sections are separated and hang down at the side of her face. They were stitched to her leotard but I took them loose. I have seen lots of the dolls on Ebay where the hair has been taken down and it looks very pretty that way too. A pink sparkly headband keeps any hair from falling in her face! :o)

She has on a sweet leotard with an overskirt in tulle. A pair of net tights and pink ribbons that lace up her legs are attached to her shoes. In the back you can see where there is an elastic cord attached to the bottom of her leotard to hold up the ribbons. I think that’s pretty clever. The doll has never been undressed.

Her joints are tight and she’s not “floppy” in the least.

I have had her for a little while but decided to sell her if anyone is interested. First person to let me know, gets her. She’s $34.00 with FREE shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 United States.

If she doesn’t sell here, I’ll be listing her on Ebay… just thought I’d ask here first!

Well, I have a wedding tomorrow and it’s already too late to be getting to bed, but do have a wonderful Saturday and I’ll see you Monday morning!

Blessings, Jeanne

Joy’s and Paula’s new dolls are lovely! Congratulations!

As to your Les Cheries, she is a perfect doll for a girl to have. I had the red-haired one plus quite a few clothes and accessories, and she went to our granddaughter Lily for her 8th birthday–FOUR years ago (she just turned 12!)!! Lily LOVED her!!! So, if anyone has a daughter or granddaughter in the age range (8 or so), your Les Cheries would make a wonderful gift. If you are a sewer, I think those Simplicity patterns for 14″ dolls (recently talked about) would fit this doll quite nicely, and also probably any patterns/clothes that fit Little Darlings. I haven’t compared measurements exactly, but I think it would be close enough.

And, speaking of new dolls, *I* will be getting a new Boneka doll on Monday! She is already in the mail! So excited!!

Charlotte, I can’t wait to hear more about your new “daughter.” I bet you already have a named picked out (smile).

      1. Dorothy,
I bet Charlotte has been scouring over Baby Names books trying to get the perfect name for her new girl!!
        Blessings, Jeanne

    2. Hi Charlotte,
Thank you for your kind comments about my Camille doll. She has already sold….so maybe your comments pushed her over the edge!! :o)

Which Boneka doll are you getting??? Remember…pictures are required!!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Camille is adorable
I hope she goes to a very loving home.
I really enjoyed reading this today. Happy Week-end

    1. Hi Rosemary,
She has been bought by a lovely lady and will head to her new home on Monday!
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Kind of groggy this morning, and when I saw that photo of Giggi, I thought I was on the wrong page. Silly me. Yes, this Giggi is a Dumpling. I just love her little spark and that adorable dress in which she arrived.

Paula’s AG, Christian, is lovely in her saddle shoes and what looks to be a perfect first day of school dress. I too would love to have that parlor. What a wonderful setting.

Your ballerina doll will make someone very happy. She is lovely.

Congrats to Charlotte on her soon to be arriving Boneka. Is she a Monday? Tuesday? Thursday? They all all very sweet.

Another wedding? I’m sure it will be lovely. Hope the rest of your weekend goes well and you have some next project planning time. 🙂

    1. Hi Joy,
I loved her sweet face as soon as I saw it and that dress was the perfect addition to make her even more charming!! You scored a cutie with her.
Christian’s dress does look like the perfect school dress…I agree!
“Someone” IS very happy to have wonCsmille! She’ll be heading to her new home on Monday!
The lady said she asked her “other girls” if they would like a new sister and they said they would!! :o)
It was a lovely wedding, but at 92 degrees, I was glad to get out of my dress and slip!
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

I think Thursday’s Child. I will have pictures soon!

Not sure if she comes with a name, though….some do. Of course, that can be changed!

Dear Jeanne, thanks for sharing photos of these lovely dolls. Looking at new dolls is a wonderful way to begin the morning.

My doll club (UFDC) meets tomorrow. The delegates from the UFDC Nashville convention will be making a presentation. I am very excited to hear about their adventures. I think 6 folks from our club attended. Next month, those of us who went to the Madame Alexander Doll Club convention will make our presentation. What dolly fun!

    1. Hi Dorothy,
I really didn’t think anyone on here would NOT be interested in seeing new dolls!

Oh, there’s dolly going’s on everywhere. I hope everyone has fun no matter which one they attend. I’d like to make it to at least one doll convention before I’m out of the dolly business!
      Thanks Dorothy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Dorthy in PA, the doll clubs sound wonderful! You are so lucky. I don’t have any real life doll friends. Glad I have all you online doll friends! 💞
The new dolly “daughters” are very exciting! Cute dolls and cute outfits make our hearts beat faster.😁
I have a Camille doll. She can share clothes with my Paola Reina. I think some fit my Hearts for Hearts dolls too. H 4 H are a bit taller so maybe not pants. I’d rather make dresses so I can’t say for sure.
Today started out sunny and we were all prepared to do outside repairs. Then Son called. He is stranded out of town. Went to buy a part for another vehicle and the car he was driving died. Dad, off to the rescue!

Dear Jillaurellia, hello. Are you in the US? If so, there are many doll clubs, which meet monthly, that are affiliated with the United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC). You can do a Google search to see if any club is near you.

Online clubs are fun also. I belong to one for the Little Darling doll that has members around the world.

And, of course, we have Jeanne’s “club” here, which is more of a family, I think (smile).

    2. Hi Julia,
I’m glad I have all my dolly friends here too as I don’t have any friends around here who are into dolls.
Thanks for your comments about the dolls sizes…I was looking at the Paola Reina dolls last night on Ebay…there are some really cute ones…
Today was “car” day around here. Rebecca had to have her driver’s side window motor replaced. She and her dad and brother did it while I went to the wedding! Hope you rescued your son okay!
      Thanks Julia,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Another Meadow for Joy! How wonderful!! Giggi is so cute and I love her sweet little dress. And Paula’s Christian looks very lovely in her back-to-school dress and shoes. Love her hair.

So many wonderful dolls out there. Wish I had room for all the ones I would like to have. Since I got to the blog late today, I don’t know if the Corolle Les Cheries is still available but, if so, I would be glad to give her a good home if she still needs one. I have wanted a Corolle Les Cheries for awhile but needed to have a “gap” between my Paola Reina, Cleo, adoption and Meadow Lolla showing up around October. The time has come to fill the gap. Hopefully she’s still available. If I’m unsuccessful, I think I will need some serious therapy. The desire to add to the family is growing stronger with each day. Since my Wellie is named Camille I think this one would be Chloe. I don’t have a Chloe.

    1. Hi Barbara,
Congratulations on your new Camille/ Chloe! I got your email and let you know she was yours if you wanted her. Thank you!

I hope the other dolls I plan to sell go just as quickly! I believe your other girls will welcome Chloe with open arms!

I know how hard it is to resist Dolly Fever! I would hope you get over it…but it’s the only fever that I’ve ever enjoyed…
      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. I feel as if I have been playing catch up all week, always one step behind. Eden’s outfit turned out absolutely gorgeous and I can see from the bidding that you are well on your way to having a bidding war going on. I sure hope Eden doesn’t cry when she learns her schoolmarm days were only temporary. You might have to apply the Kirsten “ice cream trick ” again. Congratulations to everyone on their new girls. Your Giggi is certainly a cutie, Joy. I’m sure she’ll be a great playmate for the rest of your crew. Christian is lovely, Paula and I’m sure your ’50’s girls will enjoy having a new friend.

    1. Hi Laura,
I haven’t mentioned a thing to Eden about having to give up her dress…she enjoying pointing things out on the map to the other girls. :o)
Everyone LOVES sisters!! It was fun to see the “new” ones today!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. Congrats to Joy and Paula! Both dolls are just lovely! That is one of the prettiest AG dolls I’ve seen in a long time! And Giggi is so freaky cute. Those faces are so appealing.
Have a fun dolly weekend with your new girls!
Barbara wins that sweet Ballerina…all in all a fun post!

    1. Thanks Kathie,
NEW DOLLS FOR EVERYONE!!!! Well, not quite everyone, but a few!!! :o)
      Blessings, Jeanne
