Pinterest Fails about Home Renovations…You won’t believe them…

First off… Joy sent me some flowers… aLL the way from California…via “email”… Here is her white bearded Iris’s and look at that gorgeous Lilac tree in the background. She said it was her mothers. Take a deep breath and smell those Lilac blossoms!!!

…just thought you’d want to see them…

Did you ever look at the “Pinterest Fails” before? When Deb and Cindy were home last week, we looked at them. They are pictures of beautiful cupcakes, delightful looking cakes, decorated cookies, and those sorts of things. The first picture shows what the person was trying to copy and the then a picture of what theirs actually turned out like. They are hilarious… I’ll give you a few examples…

One of my favorites….get ready…

If you’d like to see them all… here is a link…the first 8 are on the first page, then you’ll have to hit the aqua numbers to get to the next pages… There are 4 pages…

The 34 Best Pinterest Fails EVER!

Well, if those didn’t make you laugh enough… here are some FAILS in the Home Renovation department… Now, I’m not saying my hubby and I are the best at our home improvement projects, but I don’t think we’ve ever come CLOSE to any of these… I hope you enjoy them…
I think there are 32 of them… the first picture will come up and another one will be below it. Then a blue banner will be below the second one with NEXT written in white. Click on that and the next group of 2 will come up… There are a one or two words I wish I could delete, but just ignore them…

Home Renovation Pinterest Fails

I’m sure this will give you your first smile of the day… Cindy, Deb, Momma and I laughed our heads off at the food ones…

See you when I can,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. I can relate with a family memory: I made a cake with a tiny pirate ship as a decoration about 50 years ago. While taking a video, the sails somehow caught fire! It’s so long ago, I don’t remember the details and the video would have to be transferred to digital to check it out. Thanks for the laughs.

      1. Hi Susette
I feel for you and your pirate cake fail…I had one too…I once made a Lazy Dazy cake from a 4H cookbook…it was so awful we gave it to our dog and she went and BURIED IT!!! I don’t know if she ever dug it up! I was humiliated!
        I feel your pain!!!
        Thanks Susette!
        Blessings, Jeanne

  2. I had to peek at the renovation Pinterest fails first thing. Definitely going to share those with other person. I’ve never seen those.
Had to laugh at Susette’s cake fire too. Don’t know if it was from candles or the old movie camera lights which were extremely hot. Would love to see the video. I remember setting some birthday wrappings on fire with my lights. Fortunately, got the light off and fire out before anyone much noticed. Was my 21st birthday. A long time ago. 🙂
I transplanted the iris from another home a few years ago. This is the best bloom I’ve seen from them. Was a surprise to see the photo this morning.
Hope your day is filled with lots of flowers.

    1. Hi Joy, I hope the other person gets a kick out of those home mess ups…some of those “surely” were intentional, don’t you think???

I’m glad you shared your flowers with me so I could share them with everyone today…it gives the rest of us hope that Spring really is coming!!!
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Now that I’ve stopped laughing, those were just too funny…the building attempts and the desserts. The hedgehog was the best !! Those teeth !!!!

Enjoyed seeing Joy’s picture. Oh the size of the lilac tree ! I love the scent of lilacs.

Have a great day everyone !!

    1. Hi Paula,
I’m glad you got some laughs out of those “Pinterest fails”….we sure did. My mom laughed till she was silly…
I’m a big lover of the lilacs too and love their smell!!!
      Thanks Paula,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Dear Jeanne, this is why I don’t do crafts or knit or sew or cook or garden (laugh). I once tried to make a top with puffed sleeves. When I finished, the puffed parts were under my arms! Luckily I didn’t take a photo of that uhhhh adventure but it remains stuck in my head (chuckle). I took this Dorothy “fails” as a sign from the universe that I should stay away from crafty things. Now I just write. I know that I can push words around.

    1. Hi Dorothy,
I’m sorry but I had to laugh when you described your puffy sleeves in the armpit sectionof your blouse …I’m wondering if you just threw it away then or did you rip it out and keep trying?
Well….we each have our calling and not everyone can be a seamstress but not everyone can be a writer either…I LOVE your words!!!
      Thank you Dorothy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Oh how absolutely beautiful Joy’s iris are, and the lilac bush too! I can smell it from here! Those California people are really spoiled when it comes to flowers, aren’t they? My father loved iris, and I have a few of his, plus some from Michael’s grandfather, but they aren’t blooming yet, here in Missouri. They do have some buds, so we know they are coming, but still, I am so anxious to see blooming iris, and lilacs!
Oh, my gosh, the Pinterest fails! So funny, and I know exactly how it feels to have things go so wrong! I was not able to see the renovations part, for some reason, but o,h the food fails were just hilarious! Thanks for a good laugh, Jeanne!

    1. Hi Linda,
I saw some purple iris’s down the road from us today and thought immediately of Joy’s! Those white bearded ones really are beautiful. I’ve got all kinds of little purple flowers all over my yard… maybe wild violets?
We had to go to my mom’s old house today and her wisteria was blooming! I LOVE it but she always said it was too invasive…
Weren’t those food fails the funniest things? I loved them!
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. How beautiful Joy’s iris and lilac are. Our lilac is blooming yet, that won’t happen for a couple more weeks, but I can hardly wait to smell it. I actually pressed and dries a few piece last year and the scent stayed slightly. i miss our iris, we had a whole bed of them, but they rotted out a couple of years ago and I haven’t found the time or money to replace them.
The Pinterest fails were hilarious. The one renovation one that I just couldn’t get past was the dining area with the bathroom to the side. Who on earth thought that was a normal idea? The angry hedgehog was the best.
Thanks for the good wishes for my kitty. The biopsy came back as benign.

    1. HI Laura,
Hooray for benign reports on your kitty!!! I bet you were so relieved!
Surely some of those renovations were “in the remodeling process” where some parts of the old room were left before starting the new room… don’t you think? Surely no one is that crazy to have a toilet in the dining room…surely!!!
I think the hedge hog must have had a set of false teeth as a joke for someone… still he was pretty silly looking… and angry!
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne
