It’s time for the 2025 Doll Dress Year in Review!

Hi everyone,
Charlotte said it right in the last comment from yesterday… “We have the best bunch of ladies in this group!”

I totally agree with her! Yes, if YOU are reading this, YOU are one of them!

I thought I better get the Doll Dress Year in Review shown before I start anything new! I made less than 20 dresses this year… I guess I really and truly was busy!

Let’s see what I did!

I’m going though my notebook so I won’t miss anything…

6″ Mini Bailey modeled the first dress of the year… almost at the end of February! I called it “Waiting for Easter!”

The second dress was for Mae! It was a sweet dress called “Easter Charm.”

“Easter Blues” was modeled by Ruby Red Fashion Friend, Rozen.

One of my favorites was “Little Lambie” for 8″ Ten Ping!

Apparently, 6″ Mini Bailey smiled just right, because I made her another dress set; this one called “Easter Essentials.”

Sometimes “Charm” works so well for the name of a doll dress. This time Little Darling, Emmie, modeled “Charming for Easter.”

Traveling back to the 1940’s, Molly modeled a dress set called “Picnic Fun.”

I don’t normally take special orders, but I did one in May… it took me forever because I was doing it “behind the scenes.” I didn’t name it, but if I did, I’ll call it “Pretty in Pink!”

Ten Ping is next with “Birthday Fun!”

Tiny little Bailey got yet another dress set. This one was called “Pint Size Patriot!

Kirsten is next with a dress called “Home Sweet Home!”

American Girl Rebecca showed off the next dress…called “Summer’s End”

Mae looked so sweet in this new pattern I tried. I called this “Sweet and Petite” and she certainly was.

It’s getting Fall by now, so here’s one called “Autumn’s Arrival.” Shown on my RRFF girls.

“Little Punkin” was a special overall set for Ten Ping. (I think I have some favorite dolls!)

Emmie got another chance to model before the year was over. This was called “October Charm.”

Rebecca was chosen to model “Holiday Helper!” I thought she looked SO pretty in this!

Back in October I bought a Dianna Effner Little Darling doll from a lady on one of the doll forums. This was Natasha’s debut dress and she looked so adorable in her red Christmas dress with a white fur capelet. This was called “Christmas Charm.”

Well, that was it for me in 2025. Eighteen dresses! Yikes, that wasn’t very many.

I’ll let you look these dress sets over TODAY and ponder who you think you’d like to vote for… and then Tuesday, I’ll show them again and you can vote for your top 3… I’ll explain how to do it so you get your NUMBER ONE dress listed first. Then on Wednesday we’ll find out which doll was Top Model and wore the winning dress and which 2 came in first and second place.

I hope you enjoy looking at all the dresses made in 2026… then we’ll get started on dresses for 2026!!!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Oh, yes, I think I already know which will be my top three choices–of course, I own one of them! It’s Bailey’s “Pint-Sized Patriot”, which fits my 5.5″ Dazzle (from RRFF) perfectly! In fact, she refuses to take it off! Says Gigi shouldn’t be the only one with a designer wardrobe!!

But I will wait to tell you the other two, as I’m still figuring out which order to put them in!

    1. Joy in northern CA

Just wanted to congratulate Charlotte for her sweater win. Can’t wait to see one of her girls wearing it.

  2. Linda in St. Louis

I’m going to have to think about this today, since I have my grandson here. So many beautiful dresses, so little time!
    I will pop in later.

  3. Sissy on the GA Coast

I loved seeing all those 2025 beauties again, Jeanne. I hope you will be able to make more this year.

We are enjoying our time in Helen. Last year it was freezing the whole time, this year it is chilly, but by afternoon it was much warmer. We plan to get to the indoor pool this afternoon. Joy had asked for photos oh Helen so I will send some to Jeanne when I get home. The little town was made over many years ago because it wanted to attract tourists and it really worked. All the buildings are built looking like an Alpine Village, it is so quaint. There are shops and restaurants with Bavarian style and cuisine. Every where you look there are beautiful Christmas decorations especially at night, and they keep it there until February. They even had a Hallmark movie made there.

It is foggy today, hope it gets sunny like it did yesterday. Wishes for a nice day for you all.

    1. Sissy, your adventure sounds so nice. I want to go and visit Helen. Do you have a nice Hotel?
I will certainly put this on my list of places this year, thank you

    2. Joy in northern CA

Oh, this does sound like a great vacation destination. Looking forward to the pics. 🙂

Your choice of a place for your vacation sound absolutely amazing. I would love to visit. Which Hallmark movie was made there? I would love to see if I can find it. Hoping your weather stays agreeable during your visit.

  4. Happy Monday dear ladies! I hope you have a superb first few days of 2026 – this fresh sparkly new year. I love looking at all of these dresses today, each one is so very precious and cute, right down to the last thread!!!

I have been sick with this head cold for too many days,🤧🤕😮‍💨. I am not running a fever (thank you, Father God) and feeling okay during the day, but at night the coughing party begins.
It has been so annoying and I wake up grumpy every morning in disbelief that I still have this, well, to put it nicely, congestion in my head.😫
I have laryngitis too. I went for a nice brisk walk outside about a half mile or more, dressed appropriately, it felt very good. Sorry to dump my grumbling. I will get better. *sniff*

Jeanne, I will study these dresses carefully, This is almost an impossible task🥸🧐🙂
I will focus on all of these, gosh, I am shivering just thinking about it – actually eliminating a cutie little girl with a less than super adorable dress 😩🥳???

I hope everyone has a sunny delight filled day. ((((hazmat hugs))))

I know how you feel, Rosemary. My husband started with the head cold right after Christmas. I did everything I could – washed my hands constantly, wiped down everything he touched, kept my distance, took extra vitamin C, etc. – to keep form getting it, but last night I started with the sore throat and plugged nose. Fingers crossed it will be mild and short-lived. Take care of yourself!

      1. I hope you slide though with ease. The sore throat was over about two days in, then the sinuses and all of that messy stuff took over, lastly, the stupid cough (were I am now) gross… and now laryngitis for no reason except to join the party.

    2. Joy in northern CA

When we were sick last summer, the symptoms that both Rosemary and Theresa are enjoying, not, were my first. Sore throat and then the coughing especially at night. After a sofa sister mentioned it, we tested for Covid and found that yes that’s what we had. Have you two tested?? In any case, get well soon.

      1. Nah, I do not feel like testing. Maybe it is but I am not interested in any of the new innovative treatments they have conjured up to treat it, so to me (as an olden nurse) this is just a stubborn head cold/virus. I am just working on not getting an infection… I feel like I am right at the edge. I am fighting hard. Last night was so annoying

        1. Barbara in SE Texas

I guess I’m old school too. Never had a COVID test but did have COVID back in the beginning. It was in my head so I called the doctor to prescribe something to head off a sinus infection. But in truth I’ve had worse. The doctor prescribed Azithromycin. I’ll never take that again. It not only destroyed the bad bugs but took my good bugs along with it so that my system was a mess. Started taking probiotics and got myself back to normal.

  5. Theresa in Indiana

I don’t know how I’m going to pick just three! Pink is my favorite color, and there are several adorable pink dresses. I may have to just eenie meenie miney moe. 🙂

  6. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Jeanne, I just love your fashion parades! I can’t wait to vote tomorrow.

  7. Joy in northern CA

Looking at all of Jeanne’s work for the year, it made my head spin. Wow, what a busy year and some lovely creations. I have my favorite already, and I’ll hint that it’s not for a Ruby Red. Wish it was though. 🙂
Tons of rain here and more until Wednesday, when the sun is due to shine once again. It really poured last night, and I’m sure it was a raging torrent out in front.

Now, this is interesting. Night before last, it was dark and Callie Cat showed up for dinner. I put her food bowl out on the deck and did other things. Awhile later, I happened to walk by the slider and saw that she was still eating. However, she looked kind of fluffy and well, large. Had I been over feeding her? Maybe. As I neared the door in the darkness, a face looked up from the bowl. It wasn’t Callie, but a huge racoon!! It even turned and ran it’s paws down the glass door and appeared to want to come inside. When I turned on the light, Callie was out there too, but several feet away and well, growling. She is very possessive of her food. So, not wanting to tangle with a racoon, I left the light on and eventually, the stranger disappeared. He/she was a very big one. It may be living under the playhouse as we did observe Callie Cat sniffing around there the other day. I hope it finds another place to hang out as I don’t want to be feeding a racoon.

Did anyone try for the latest Ruby Red dolls Saturday? They are the Lunar New Year kids for this year. So cute in their special outfits. My latest RR had a very long flight to LA yesterday. So, I’m guessing that she will be arriving hopefully, later this week if customs are speedy.

I wonder which doll Jeanne, will choose for the first outfit of 2026?

    1. hahaha A raccoon.
long ago they had a commercial for eye exams/glasses and their example
of encouraging the necessity was a woman, at dusk, calling her “kitty” to come in for night time and a raccoon shows up and comes in. the woman does not notice. 😝😂

      1. Barbara in SE Texas

I remember that commercial. It was hilarious. Which reminds me I’m overdue for an eye exam. Need to get on that before I end up like that lady.

    2. Joy, we took care of a little baby raccoon when my brother rescued it from a road. He- she was adorable and such a sweet baby. We never knew if it was a boy or a girl. I would feed him/her from a bottle and afterwards he/ she would curl up in my sweatshirt sleeves and fall asleep. When I would fix the bottle and later food, he/she would literally climb up my pant leg on excitement. Eventually we found a man who was able to take “ Oily” and rehabilitate him/her to live in the wild. I didn’t want to give Oily up but it was best – when the man came to get Oily, he/she was in his/ her box and when he left with him/her, he/she cried out for me. It broke my heart – Oily was a happy baby living with us. The name Oily was from the fact he/ she squeaked all the time and we joked that he/she needed oiling.

      1. Joy in northern CA

Oh, what a sweet one you had. Sorry you had to rehome her/him but they definitely belong in the wild.

      2. Sissy Lingle on the GA coast

Years ago there was a book about a boy who raised a raccoon. The book is called “Rascal” and a great book. I have read it 3 times. The trouble was that it caused people get baby wild coons to make pets. The found that when the coons got too large they weren’t such good pets any more, so they would take them out in a wooded are and left them. I haven’t heard that that was much of a problem here but in China they went crazy of there story and got so many raccoons and ended up putting so many of them in the woods later that they were just filling the woods and coming out in where homes were and every where.
They finally had to stop allowing people to have any and they also had to have a shooting day and kill most of them off. So sad. We have had some twice that looked rapid and had to call someone to get them. One of them was.

        1. Joy in northern CA

Interesting. And I have read the book to one of my classes. Rabies really hadn’t crossed my mind. I just want him/her to move elsewhere. Haven’t seen since. 🙂

    3. Barbara in SE Texas

This is too funny. They are cute but they can be a menace. One year when a friend of mine was little he and his family went from their home in Texas to visit his mother’s family in PA. Somehow they ended up bringing a racoon back with them. The coon took over the backseat of the car so mom, dad, and the four kids were stuck sitting in the front. There were bench seats back then and no seatbelts. After they got home the thing was a nuisance and one day, after it had rained a bunch, his dad came home from work to see the racoon trying to drown the neighbor’s dog in the ditch in front of their house.

  8. Gosh! It’s really hard to come up with 3 favorites. They are all so pretty, cute, and cleverly done.

Got my Christmas things organized and put away- till I realized I forgot the garland on the staircase. I’ve got things packed pretty well in my cabinets but I have quite a few fall maple leaf garlands that are too fluffy and take up too much space hanging on the doors. My fall decorations are on the bottom shelf so I think I’ll coil them up in a bag.
I’m always rearranging things to make space. But I’m happy it all fits. I typed up a list of what’s in my 2 cabinets so I can find things next fall and Christmas.

I agree with Jeanne and Charlotte – the Sofa Sisters are the best!!

Joy, I hear the shark coming down your street. I already hear the sound of the music from “Jaws” or the theme song of “ Mission Impossible .”

    1. Barbara in SE Texas

How organized you are. It took me so long to get my Christmas decorations (tree and village) up this year I’m not looking forward to taking them down at all. I have lists for all the boxes that contain Christmas decorations so I can go to the lists and see what boxes I need to bring in. I used to bring in all of them and decorate the house from top to bottom but the last few years I didn’t do that so the numbered boxes and the lists are a must to get anything done at all.

      1. I understand what you’re saying about decorating and putting it away. It’s a lot of work even if we enjoy it so much. You sound pretty organize – just take it easy as you go. A cup of coffee and a good movie I’ve already seen helps! 😂
I normally don’t put our Christmas things away this early but I’m having wrist surgery soon and won’t be as agile to do it after.

Finally remembered to take my staircase garland down. Also vacuuming all the glitter too!

        1. Barbara in SE Texas

Prayers for a successful wrist surgery. Hope you get back to normal quickly. I lost the use of my hand for about a month after an accident once and it was most annoying.

    2. Joy in northern CA

Yes, the shark theme will be playing when that delivery truck arrives. I can only hope that other person is occupied and doesn’t hear it. 🙂

      1. Once the shark music is over ( you’ve secured your RR’s,) the Mission Impossible music plays cause you had success in the capture!

  9. Yes, you definitely have favorite dolls, Jeanne, and it’s been the same ones for awhile. Bailey and Ten Ping, for sure. Mae this year because she’s new. As far as the AG’s Rebecca always models something as does Molly. Kirsten is usually the third choice.
Very easy to pick my top three and the order as well. One run through and I had them chosen. I wonder who will be first doll of the year.

  10. Barbara in SE Texas

Oh, Jeanne, you torture us so. It is almost impossible to pick just three, especially when there are different kinds of outfits. I love all the dresses but the overall outfits are adorable also. But I will do my best. I have the fabric for the “Pretty In Pink” outfit in both pink and orange. I’ve used both several times. It always makes up so pretty.

Right now we are in early Spring weather wise. In a few days it will be late Spring. Possibly winter may show up somewhere in the next couple months but so far that doesn’t seem likely. Unfortunately by the time we get to May it will be summer and no reprieve from the heat to look forward to until next November. I haven’t even bothered to change my wardrobe around this year. We’ve had so few days that required warmer pants that I just went to the other closet and pulled those and a couple warmer shirts out and put them in my bedroom closet with my summer things. I’ll move them back all too soon.
