It’s DEFINITELY Vintage, but not quite “1776 Vintage!”

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your intermingling with each other today. I was telling someone today about how GOOD you all are at doing that!

Before I forget, Sissy sent me some pictures of her past 4th of July dresses she made for Mae. Each one is cuter than the next… and we really don’t care that the 4th has already passed, do we? Sissy’s dresses for Mae were adorable. I bet she could have made 20 more for other Mae’s who didn’t get one, but wanted one.

This first one is the one I had seen on Facebook a few days ago. I don’t know if I like the dress the best, or if it’s the pose I like, but I think it’s just adorable…

Here are her other ones, with Gigi in a few of them too.

I might have to get that pattern for Mae for next year. It’s really sweet! Thanks Sissy! Love them all! :o)

Well… I FINISHED Felicity’s dress set… I mean it’s ALL done! EXCEPT, I didn’t get it listed… It’s been so long and so much going on that I completely forgot I don’t have my software program (since it was hacked and everything on the site was erased!) and I’m still not over it. I will have to list this one using the format that Ebay has, where I list the pictures at the side and the description separate. Kristoffer is going to come over in the next few days and I’m going to ask him if he knows of any software programs I might like.

I never was able to chat with Sarah about the “Contact Me” tab not working… and I’m not able to list my pictures at the side bar on my post either. I’ve got to get on that…

Okay, let’s see what today’s Title is all about…

It’s about Felicity’s petticoat! It’s not authentic to the 1776 undergarments, BUT… it is early 1900’s lace and I just loved it. I had bought a very vintage little girl’s skirt and it had 2 layers… the underneath was a smooth cotton and the overskirt was tiers of cotton laces added. They are very old and were very delicate to sew, but this is what I wanted to go under Felicity’s dress. Felicity loves it and asked me why did she have to “hide” it under her dress? It definitely is pretty enough to be worn by itself.

Here is a close up of the pretty lace…

This is the smooth cotton underneath the lace top.

The petticoat is perfect for holding out Felicity’s dress… and it’s soft for a young girl.

I added a mother of pearl vintage button to the back and stitched a loop of elastic to the end of the waistband. It will allow any size doll waist to have a snug fit.

I also found a small basket in my stash and got some “tomatoes” ready for Felicity to carry. I used a vintage doily and put 5 little tomatoes in the basket. It is perfect for picking up just a bit more red for this set…

Felicity is helping me think up a story line for this listing! :o) If you want to help, you can!!! :o) :o)

I will see you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
