A few pictures of Mae that didn’t make the cut and something else…

Hi everyone,
After we were on our way to St. Louis Monday morning, I checked my Fitbit to see how many hours of sleep I had actually gotten. (I did have a hard time turning my mind off) My fit bit said I had slept 1 hour and 53 minutes…UGH! In case you were wondering, I got TWELVE hours of sleep last night and was it ever divine!!! I really needed it as I felt like I was running on fumes! Those 12 hours of sleep were heavenly and much appreciated!

I have something to share after I show you these pictures, but first MAE!

I didn’t get Mae’s dress listed on Ebay, but I’m hoping to tomorrow evening. I went outside and took some pictures of her. The day was partly sunny, but by the time I got ready to go out, the sun had pretty much gone behind the clouds. I thought it might be too cloudy, but my pictures turned out fabulous. These are a few I decided not to use as I had WAY too many as it was… I hope you can tell more about the colors in the outdoor pictures.

If you click on the pictures they will enlarge… (just remember not to comment until you’ve looked at them all or you’ll lose your comments!)

I hope to get her dress set listed on Ebay this evening…

NOW… for something completely different! I am going to try and help Suemae, (Susette’s daughter-in-law) sell some of Susette’s Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls. She is going to do the work, I’m just going to be showing what dolls she has. She is a bit overwhelmed and decided to just sell a few at a time… I will tell you now which dolls will be first and details about them.

The dolls she’s selling are all in pristine condition and come in their boxes and their outfits. Suemae is selling them for $99.00 each which includes the shipping and paypal fees. I will show you the pictures now so you can look the dolls up, (if you need to see some better pictures of it and decide if you’d like to buy it.) You can email me with which doll you would like, please include your correct name and address and I will in turn email that information to Suemae. I will also send you Suemae’s paypal address. I hope this goes smoothly for everyone.
Suemae is busy getting an art show together, so I’m not sure when the next batch of dolls will be ready to show… you’ll just have to keep watching.

IF a doll is spoken for, I will put PENDING beside their name… until Suemae gets back with me that she received payment and the doll is SOLD.

Ruby Red Fashion Friend ADA: PENDING…

Ruby Red Fashion Friend JAMIE: (a boy doll, who is actually the smaller 12″ size, called a Siblie.)

Ruby Red Fashion Friend CHLOE:

Ruby Red Fashion Friend ALICE: POSSIBLY PENDING… the wrong doll might be in this box.

Thanks everyone,
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Oh, that outfit for Mae is even prettier in the outdoor pictures! Makes me wish I had a doll that size, it’s so cute. Everything is just perfect, and goes together so well.

That is a very good price on those Ruby Red dolls of Susette’s. It’s so nice of you to help Suemae sell them, Jeanne. I know how overwhelming it can be, dealing with things a parent has accumulated in his/her lifetime. I ended up doing about 90% of the stuff in my parents’ home after my dad died (I think my brother hadn’t retired yet), and there were times when I just couldn’t go down there and sort and pitch any more. Tell Suemae to take a day for herself now and then, or she will surely burn out!

Thanks, all, for your encouragement on my Expo sewing projects. The jacket is almost done now. Yay!! Yes, there will definitely be pictures!

Oh my goodness, Jeanne, what darling g pictures! I think Mae’s name should be Rosie! When I was little I told everyone that Rosie was my middle name! LOL Li da Rosie doesn’t quite cut it now! I love, love, love those sweet pictures!

What great prices for those lovely dolls. I know that Susette was very careful with her dolls, and they have no issues. Great prices too, since when you look on .EBay, tney are greatly inflated, plus we know the ow er of the dolls, not what you would know on EBay. That Chloe is darling!

Thank you to Suemae for choosing to sell through us first, a d to you for showing us!

Take it easy today, Jeanne, and just relax! You have had quite a lot going on, and that was on top of your cold!

Of course, I missed pressing down hard enough on my name, so the “n” didn’t show up! I do that a lot, as if you didn’t notice!

  4. Good morning everyone.
Jeanne, I am so glad you got some good sleep. Running on empty is a terrible feeling… and you think about climbing back in bed all day!! Yeah, I know that… Please, get good sleeps. We need it in this crazy world.
Mae’s outfit is precious, SHE is adorable, I want to hug her., This outfit is so so so cute!
The whole ensemble is adorable, wonderful photos, Jeanne. Wow, perfect!

These dolls are cute. I am not gonna get excited because I have too many toys already!
I wish Susette and Suemae the best of ease in finding new homes, new mommies for these four adorable girls. Oh my, each of them are precious, such sweet faces.
All of them look good as gold too.
I hope everyone enjoys a happy day today. We are going to have temps in the 40’s and I am glad about that. All of that melting, dripping and tapping and puddling is kind of
annoying after hours but sunshine! is what we need!

Oh, Jeanne, so glad you got a great sleep and also that you have Mae’s gorgeous outfit ready for Ebay. I hope to hear you soon about the things I am sending away.

How sweet that Suemae gives us first with Suesette’s dolls. I am so tempted but just can’t get any more dolls. These are so lovely.

We are leaving for our morning healing service down the street. Will check on y’all later.

Sad and glad. So sad to think about Susette and her wonderful dolls, but glad that Suemae is sharing them with us. I emailed you Jeanne.
I love Mae’s outdoor photo shoot. What has happened to the snow? 🙂 I love the pic of Mae sitting on the bricks/pavers. It is so natural and shows off her outfit so well.
I’m very glad that Jeanne is getting caught up on her sleep. Not good to be sleep deprived especially, when still recovering from that flu bug.
We did get some rain yesterday, but so far, it looks like we may have a few sun beams this morning.
I wasn’t able to get to any sewing yesterday, but maybe this afternoon as we are meeting with our tax person this morning. My excuse for not pulling weeds will be that it is still too wet. 🙂
    Stay warm and dry everyone.

Yay! My beautiful new white sweater arrived this morning. Now I can get on with deciding what to make to wear with it. I see two different possibilities. One being a really pretty dress for Easter. Since it is early this year something like a light sweater will be needed, especially in the morning. That will be when wearing the sweater with the opening to the front. I’m thinking a cute jumpsuit would be nice when wearing the opening to the back. Pants and a shirt would work but I have a cute jumpsuit pattern so I think I’ll go with that. It would actually be a very versatile outfit since the sweater could also be worn over the jumpsuit with the opening to the front.

I love the adorable pictures of Mae. She is absolutely precious. The outdoor pictures came off great.

After listening to so many describe what they’ve gone through in clearing out their parents’ homes after they passed, I realize I got off very easy. By the time my mother passed away she had moved in with my sister and downsized herself. She had a bedroom and two small closets (one for her clothes and one with shelves for other things). I was there at the time of her death and could choose anything I wanted. I did not take any of her clothes since she had a lot of warm-up suits that I didn’t need here. Mostly I wanted pictures. My youngest sister handed me the picture box and told me to take whatever I wanted so I basically reconstructed my childhood even finding pictures when I was a baby. That’s all I really wanted and they store very easily. David parents downsized too when they moved from Kansas to New Mexico. Mostly they sent the stuff to us since his sister didn’t want it. I need to tackle it myself one of these days because I don’t want to dump that job off on my kids.

  8. So sad about Susette’s dolls as some are very recent editions. How kind of Suemae to offer them here first. I would have thought Riya would inherit them. Love Alice and would have been very tempted by her, but I see she’s in Holiday Stella’s dress and not her original “meet”. Just as well as dolly funds don’t really exist at the moment.

Mae looks very sweet. The outdoor photos turned out great.

Don’t miss the modern re-take on the original six historical PC girls on AG’s website.

I saw the wrong dress too. I thought the doll was mixed up, but decided she could be Alice, wearing the Holiday Stella dress. As you mentioned.

Mae is lovely I love her outfit. The material is really pretty.
I wish I could buy some of Suzette’s dolls the price is so good but even if Suemae was willing to ship overseas I wouldn’t be able to afford the postage as well, it would be more than the doll cost.
A few days ago I got an e mail from Microsoft about my Outlook account. It looked suspicious to me and when I got another one I deleted them both. This morning I couldn’t get into Outlook and thought maybe the email was genuine. Then I tried to get into Google and that wasn’t opening either, so I went back to the tried and true method and restarted the computer and whew, it worked so I don’t have to replace my very old machine just yet!!
Joy and Linda, I live in the suburbs as well but almost on the northern edge of the city. However, although Christchurch is the second biggest city in NZ we still only have about 415,000 residents. Auckland has about 1.8 million, in a country of 5.339 million.
    Have a great day everyone.

I too am working on borrowed time with my old computer. The thought of trying to set u a new one is daunting. Hope to get to it soon.

I’m so glad Susette’s family is giving the sofa sisters first chance at some of her dolls. I know she has Kaya and an amazing number of her accessories. She also has a #4 and appropriate clothes. There’s also at least one well cared for Ten Ping.

We might share ideas and solutions we’ve found. It sounds as if some of have solved the problem and some will be facing it, so sharing might be useful.

In the meantime, there’s Mae. I really do like the brown eyes. And outdoors was definitely the right place for her to be photographed. She looks like a sign that spring is on the way.
