Ruby Red Fashion Friends doll, Frieda, wants to be a cowgirl…

I think that cowgirl hat inspired me…and I had a perfect piece of fabric to go with it. It can be my kick off to a new Spring and Summer line of fun outfits for the dolls.

I didn’t get a lot done on this, but I think you can tell the direction I’m headed.

So today I’ll just show you a few pictures and maybe tomorrow it might look more like what I’m hoping for.

…and one more because I LOVE this fabric!!

Have a great Monday… I’ll see you tomorrow…

Blessings, Jeanne

First of all, Jeanne, congratulations on a Very successful auction!! Wow!! Ten bids!! Must have been a little bidding war going on!!

Oh, yes, I love that fabric, too!! Such a darling blouse on Freida. And she looks so cute in that hat. I wonder if it will have a band to match her blouse?

Now, skirt or pants? An A-line skirt with a little fringe down the sides or along the bottom would be cute. Or maybe culottes, so she can ride astride? Perhaps practical jeans will be the next item? Can’t wait to see what’s next!!

Yes, that was some auction last night, Jeanne! Congratulations!

I couldn’t believe the similarities of what you are making now with what I got for my Emmy not very long ago! I’ll send a picture or two. I wanted a “cowgirl” outfit for her and found the cutest little red cowgirl boots for her, and then wonder of wonders, a handmade cowgirl hat, very similar to yours, made by the seller. I had wanted a red one, but brown was all she had at the time, so I got that, and it worked out well. Then for an outfit. Most clothes for Wellies are dresses, and I wanted something western, maybe for square dancing, and found a cute little calico dress in yellow with red flowers. Later on, I did find a cute fringed denim skirt and a red tee that also worked. The skirt might be something that might work for yours, with that cute blouse, or then again, maybe a full one for square dancing!

I love the gathers on the blouse, and that perky daisy pattern! Are you going to make cowgirl boots? Those colors work well with Frieda!

Oh, love that fabric. Maybe the top worn with a white tiered eyelet skirt? Or, if you have more fabric, I’d love to see a gathered tiered skirt made from it. Then a similar blouse in white eyelet. Almost like a square dance outfit. As to the hat, I’d like to see it worn further back on the head. It seems like it is kind of pushing down on her almost like she’s trying to hold up a 10 gallon hat. 🙂 I’d also like to see a wide ribbon worn in her hair with the outfit and maybe sandals for a summer look. Just ideas. Can’t wait to see what else is going with the blouse.
Speaking of western outfits, my RRFF Emma, has arrived and has been knocking on her box all weekend. I told her that hopefully, today she can be unwrapped. Been busy. She has a blue fringed jacket and boots. 🙂

Dear Jeanne, she will be adorable as a little cowgirl. I can’t wait to see her line dancing with her friends.

Only 9 more days left in the month. I am holding on to my May happy place!

  5. Nice way to start your week with such a successful auction! That was a very lovely dress and accessories.
This one will be so interesting to watch come together. Love the blouse fabric.
Something totally different for sure? Happy Monday😍

Just had a little kitty “help” on my keyboard and poof what I was writing is gone, so second draft will be shorter. Oh, sunflowers! I just hung up the sunflower sunflower wreath on the porch recently. The fabric is really pretty. My daughter had a puffed sleeved dress as a preschooler of sunflowers on a red background worn with red mary janes. One I had to save. This one will be fun to watch.

Can’t wait to see what comes from this great start. I love the blouse style and fabric and can’t wait to see how you embellish the hat. I love all the suggestions you received from my sofa sisters. I can’t think of anything to add to it but you have your work cut out for you deciding what should accompany the hat and blouse. Best of luck! Congratulations on a great auction.
