7 facts about sofas… oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends and anyone else who is celebrating the holiday today! May you enjoy your day and find lots of reasons to be thankful! I got to thinking about how many friends I have made here on my blog… too many to count!

Susette sent me a Thanksgiving picture… No explanation necessary, I don’t think… It’s about our love for dolls! :o)

I found an article on 7 facts about sofas…and hope you find a comfy place on that long red one! That just might hold all the Sofa Sisters!

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

A happy Thanksgiving to all my lovely sofa sisters who celebrate it!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful picture, Susette. It’s always fun to see what others do with their dolls.

You’re right, Jeanne, that one sofa might hold us all! But I’d like to see one that had some curves or angles so we could all see each other, too!

Guess what?! The WordPress link came directly to this page tonight!! Woohoo!

Our pastor and his wife dropped off a couple of bags today, so we are set for meals for a while. There were a homemade hotdish And homemade cookies, plus several frozen meal items, so no real cooking for me! I’m hoping to get in the sewing room for a few minutes; it will depend on how I feel, and how tired I am.

Susette, love that picture of your dolls dressed so auuthentically! What a perfect picture for today!

About sofa’s, Jeanne, I love the first white one! It is right up my alley, and although it can’t hold a lot of people, I am more of a “small group at one time” type. That said, we do need a big sofa for all of us, but I don’t thnk that long, red one would fit in my living room!! We will have to visit in shifts! 🙂

Good for you, Charlotte, that you received some help with your dinner! Isn’t it wonderful to have such loving and thoughful friends?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I think I said that yesterday too, but I really mean it today!!

  3. Karen from Kentucky

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I am thankful for Jeanne, this blog, and all the Sofa Sisters! That is an interesting article. Thank you for sharing it! I like the dolls in the picture, too, but not the dream catchers. We’re planning on eating turkey tonight after my father in law gets off of work. Hope it bakes ok..

    1. Thankfully we live in a country where the traditions and religions of others are generally tolerated and respected and sometimes embraced.

  4. Joy in northern CA

The Thanksgiving Fairy must have been at work last night because, Jeanne’s blog arrived as usual but did not revert to “How to set up WordPress” when clicked! It’s a Thanksgiving miracle! 🙂 Yahoo!
Thanks Susette and Jeanne for the lovely photo! Those outfits are great. Love it.
Jeanne’s sofa pics just moved the “new couch” to the top of the list around here. Guess I should get to seriously looking again.
Have wonderful day whatever you have planned. 🙂

  5. Thank you Susette for sharing the pictures of your beautifully dressed girls. What intricate costumes and accessories.

Thank bite fir the really long red sofa. That sofa would surely fit us all – pass down the megaphone!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you !

  6. Ingrid B in Western N Y

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all enjoy the day whether you celebrate turkey day or not. Here hubby cooks everything except the green bean casserole but today he is doing it all. I feel so spoiled! You have got to love a man that loves to cook!!! LOL
Susette your photo is wonderful, love everything about it. Thank you for sending to Jeanne.
On that note, Linda your photo’s always make me smile. I really loved the woolen outfits, so pretty. Thank you for sharing!
Jeanne, Love the new outfit you’ve started. I can’t wait to see what will complete the ensemble. Happy to hear your PT is going well. Praying that you get relief and that your injury heals quickly.
    Hugs
    Ingrid

  7. Sally from Colorado

Happy Thanksgiving to all on this incredible sofa and your families. We are joining our two friends at their house, and for the first time in my life, there will be no mashed potatoes! What??? Positively tragic. It will be the only thanksgiving without mashed potatoes, believe me.

Susette, did you make those outstanding costumes? Every detail seems perfect, but I am especially drawn to the headdresses. So glad you sent this for Jeanne to share.

Jeanne, fun article; I must say, perhaps many of us have sat on a sofa almost as hard as that steel one. 😬

If you’re traveling, safe travels; enjoy your feasts and people. 🦃🥰

    1. No, I sure didn’t make the outfits. They weren’t very expensive but certainly detailed. Thanks to you and other Sofa Sisters for the nice comments. Love Linda’s pictures too.

  8. Checking in very fast. Yay! Things are back to normal for me. The “Idream…” (WordPress) in my Inbox brought me here and the one from your email in my promo folder did as well. Since it fixed things for Joy also I think all is good.

Thank you for sharing the photo, Susette. Your dolls have beautiful outfits and I like your shiny pumpkin.

The sofa article looks fun, and I will read it later. The long red sofa would certainly fit us all.

Happy Thanksgiving Jeanne, and to all the sofa sisters!!

  9. There were lots of different Thanksgiving plans among the sisters but they all sounded good. 🦃
We gathered at my sons home in the country…lots of appetizers…Turkey with the best mashed potatoes and the gravy made me say Yummm out loud. Lots of veggies and rolls. Pretzel salad is the family fav and pecan pie is asked for every year as is apple and pumpkin. Pie is my thing🤗 So made 2 yesterday and two today.
Had a serious boyfriend attend too. Will be interesting to watch that pair☺️
Your picture is so detailed Linda, love the beading and headdresses and the fur accents😉 Thank you for sending it.
Jeanne Hope you had a great day…
