“Hello Fall” looks lovely on Kirsten…and it’s on EBAY

PLEASE NOTE: The dress set for Lian, or any other 13″ Little Darling, or even 14″ Betsy McCall, “Welcome Fall” is ending tonight on Ebay… You can see it by clicking on the picture at the side bar at the right or you can click HERE.

Today was a beautiful day and I just HAD to take a few more pictures of Kirsten BACK IN THE DRESS again… The sun was going down and the lighting was JUST right! She looked prettier than she did before… so here are a few more pictures of Kirsten with her accessory. (I promise these will be the last)

I’ll wait and let you read the story line in my Ebay auction but for now you can at least see what she ended up picking for her accessory… yep, pumpkins… as many as her shawl would hold… :o)

I somehow managed between a dentist appointment, wrapping presents, making lunch, visiting, taking new pictures outside, editing and sorting out 61 pictures down to 20 something… to get Kirsten’s dress listed on Ebay… You can see IT by clicking on the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.

We had a nice day with Kristoffer but my sewing was non-existent today so only pictures…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Your pictures all turned out beautifully, Jeanne, and I like the idea of using the pumpkins as a prop (and a good story line, too). For the earlier “era” dolls, you really can’t use a teddy bear, as it wouldn’t be appropriate; I suppose a puppy or kitty would work, though.

Nora and Barbara, here is a link to the Leeann ballet collection: https://adcleeann.com/2020-ballet-collection/ I see that the web site address has changed slightly, which is probably why you couldn’t reach it, Nora. Sorry about that! I’m not sure when they added those two letters in front of her name!

At the moment, shipping from Canada to the US is problematic, so what they have done is set it up so that you order thru the regular Leeann site, and orders to the U.S. are shipped from “Uncle Rick’s Louisiana Outpost” (a friend of “Leeann’s dad”, Denis Bastien), and orders to Canada and other countries come from Canada (where the business is located). I’ve ordered from them a number of times (I already have two Leeanns and one Leneda), and had orders shipped from both Canada and Louisiana, and have had no problems whatsoever. Just in case you need a new dolly!! ;-D

    1. I too have bought from Denis Bastien in the past. Right now, the site is not offering all of the variety of clothes/shoes/etc as in the past. I think they said that that will change in 2021. He has always had great jelly clogs in a variety of colors, roller skates, and lots of cute outfits as well as the dolls. 🙂

Yay!! The dolls are really nice, and their clothes are lovely, too, considering they are made overseas and all. Denis also has patterns available for the dolls. As Joy said, right now not everything is on the web site (because of the Canadian Post problems due to Covid), but he’s hoping to get things back soon. In the meantime, you can sign up for his Facebook page (Leeann and Friends), and get notifications.

  2. You certainly have been busy! Kirsten’s pumpkin patch theme is perfect. I see there is already a bid. 🙂
While I was waiting at Joann’s for a cut recently, I thought I’d look at a pattern. Only problem, they no longer have the books available to find a pattern. (Covid precaution) The patterns are in the file cabinets, but no index. I suppose if you looked up the number online before getting there, you might find one, but I didn’t think of that. And when I got around to looking up the number today online, I found that it isn’t in stock at any Joann’s within 50 miles. Only way to get it is to order online and have it sent. Not going to do that after my last three weeks to receive experience. 🙁

    1. Thanks or the information Joy. I sometimes just like looking through the catalogs. Guess that’s on hold for now. If I’m looking for a pattern I’ll get the number first.

  3. The pumpkins were the right choice. They make just the right contrast to her dress and the lawn. They even give her shawl a different purpose. So much for light boxes — the sun does the best job, especially at this time of year.
We are having another dark, damp, cold day. Anything that helps the fire-fighters is ok here. I’ll send you a picture. It’s very dramatic, but we are getting tired of drama and sickened by the loss of trees, not to mention homes. we were supposed to get snow yesterday. It’s predicted for Sunday and Monday. If it comes, that will help.
At times like this, dolls are a welcome distraction.

  4. It looks like Kirsten is all ready for the world to see her new outfit and the pumpkin patch story is a good story to go along with it. I like how you worked her shawl into helping her carry the pumpkins. Clever Kirsten!
Kirsten’s pictures out on your brick walkway with the natural fall background is perfect for your story. One can see the perfect setting for the days of fall !🍁🐿🍂
Btw, how is the little raccoon doing? 🦝

    1. Hi Paula,
Here’s a cut and paste of my response to you yesterday. I don’t know if you checked back or not.

Hi Paula, That’s great that Caroline and January are cousins. I renamed my Caroline and Marie-Grace and have them being cousins as well. I love Caroline’s seafoam eyes. I think she’s a gorgeous doll as well.
Oh dear, what did I mention? Two letters? The only thing I recall regarding AG items for sale recently was the seller lovvbugg on EBay. I got a pair of kitty cat shoes, a 13 star flag, and doll scale colored pencils there a few years ago. She sells a variety of accessories and AG knockoff clothing Was that it? The only other place I bought some neat things… little books, a thimble for Felicity, and a buttonhook for Samantha was Cat’s Paw Doll accessories
https://www.catspawonline.com/ Please let me know if either sound right.

  5. I love these pictures, Jeanne! I noticed right away that you found a way to use her shaw, gathering pumpkins for something for her momma to bake!! The leaves and the grass, hay bale and pumpkins are just the thing to make her story to come alive! I’m so glad you got to get outside yesterday to take pictures, because today is NOT the day for that! Very blustery, windy, chilly, just not a good picture taking day!

I guess it’s a good day to stay in and make pumpkin bread!
    !

  6. Great pictures! I love the pumpkins in the shawl. Just what a young lady would have done back then. Shawls were great for gathering eggs too. Such a lovely ensemble. I’m off to see the ebay listing. Can’t wait to read the story.

  7. What a great idea to use pumpkins. I went to read the ebay listing first, as I always do and then come back. Blue really does tend to work as a neutral color. My sun room is blue and white and I put yellow in there for summer, orange and brown in the fall, and of course, red and green at Christmas.
Kirsten looks absolutely lovely in her dress and I like the pumpkins in her shawl. I enjoyed seeing all of the photos of her outside, perfect background.

  8. Further to my concern about the item I bought on EBay, I have had an email from the seller, from EBay and from Pay pal to say I have a refund so I think I probably have one! I haven’t checked yet. I have re ordered the item from the UK and realised that the other one probably was not the right part for my machine anyway so I had a lucky escape.
I read the story line for Kirsten and loved it. Glad you already have a bid on it. I will have to think up a story line for my doll when I put it up for sale.
Still no real rain here. I really have to get into the garden today. My head says garden, my heart says sewing but if I don’t start today (and do some watering) I will have no flowers for Christmas especially for the Church Christmas Party. Since I have the biggest garden they always come here and usually put up a bouncy castle for the children. Next year we should be able to have a combined one at Delta with the other Church that shares our site as their new building will be ready soon. The plan is for us to share facilities across the two buildings, and share the garden area. Maybe I can get in a little sewing later.

  9. Kristen has always been my first love, yet I’ve never brought her home. She looks amazing in her gorgeous outfit!

  10. These pictures are really wonderful! The pumpkins in the shawl outside in great lighting all come together as a great listing! A bid already? Bingo!
Just looked at one of my granddaughters Senior pictures. Lots of outside scenes many changes too.Not anything traditional but so freaky cute….except for the ones in the holey jeans…..my mother would turn over in her grave! What is attractive about big holes? Every age has their own weird clothing styles.
    Have a great weekend🎃😷

    1. My husband and I own a mobile home park. Most of the families have been there for years and we watched the kids grow up. The families are Hispanic and, except for a few of the men and the children, are not terribly proficient in English so they send their kids to pay the rent. One of the girls who was in elementary when they moved in is now in her second year in college. She is a great kid and absolutely lovely. She always comes to pay the rent. This last time she came in jeans that had so many holes that there seemed to be more holes than jeans. I asked her if she needed a refund on the rent so she could buy some clothes without holes. She thought it was hilarious. I have to admit, some of my dolly children have some of those jeans but I’m sure glad the fad wasn’t around when my daughter was in school.

  11. HI everyone,
My day was just too busy to get to comments… but I’m glad you all liked the storyline and the pictures outside… it’s a good thing I got those pictures taken yesterday as today it was rainy and gloomy as could be… I wish I could have sent some of that rain to Marilyn… and put out those fires…
My tomorrow is busy with a funeral, a sister in law is stopping by to go with us, I have to work on a scrapbook project for someone, alterations for a guy at church on Sunday and then my weekend is over and it all starts again…
I hope your weekend is wonderful…
    Blessings, Jeanne
