A few previous OCTOBER posts for your viewing pleasure…

Where did October go? It can’t only have 2 days left, can it? Yes, Jeanne it can and it does! I didn’t have anything new to show you sewing wise, but thought I could at least give you some links to some past posts and you could see some of my work. Actually, it’s NOT work to me… I truly enjoy sewing and creating fun and pretty clothes for my/your dolls. I gained some new subscribers just as all this was happening with the hayride and my cataract surgery… I hate to disappoint them with no dolly pictures, so this is the next best thing… Old posts for the newbies! Maybe some of you haven’t seen them either… I’m only showing October posts from past years…

Oh, that was fun, Jeanne, looking back! I don’t have time tonight to look at Every post, but did check out three or four of them. My favorite so far was the first one, about close-up pictures of your creations. I notice I commented on it, so I’ve subscribed for at least 5 years, I guess!!

Take it easy and let your family take care of you; your eye will soon start working better, and then you can pick up some of your normal activities again.

    1. Hi Charlotte,
Yes, you’ve been here 5 years if you commented on that post. Time flies, doesn’t it.
Hope you have a great day!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Jeanne, I wish you get well soon and sew beautiful things for dolls again! I’m studying with you. And I bought some dolls, looking at your example

    1. Hi Oksana,
Thank you for your well wishes! I’m glad you enjoy reading the things I write about.
I’ll get back to sewing as soon as I can!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Jeanne, I just had to read every article before commenting, and now that I have, I’m prettier y speechless! What a variety of articles, each showing a wonderful talent you have! I absolutely loved the watercolor article, because I also did water color I college, and know how difficult it is. You did a marvelous job on that wardrobe for traveling to Jamaica, and too bad you didn’t make on for yourself and then go there!
I loved the darling dresses you showed, the recipes and the bed tutorial as well as to read the comments! It was good to go back and see what you have accomplished. You should be very proud!

    1. Oh good, Linda,
I’m glad you enjoyed the posts I picked today. I tried to make them all different so there would be something everyone could enjoy!

Is it cool in St. Louis like it is here? And dreary too? At least the wind isn’t blowing today…

My eye is pretty much back to normal I think…I’m hoping to do a little sewing… :o)
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. What a great post to get people caught up on your talents. Every one is a little treasure, not matter the size of the doll.

Now I’m really concerned about Joy. Do you have an address for her that would give us a clue, just the city, not the street address? I’m know she lives in the area where the fires are. We haven’t heard from her for days now.

    1. Hi Susette,
Glad you enjoyed the posts today too. It was fun going back and finding some different things to share.

I emailed Joy a little while ago just asking her to take a few seconds and let us know she is okay…so far, I haven’t heard from her, but as soon as I do, I’ll let everyone know…
      Thanks Susette
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Great post today! I looked at everything and plan on looking at them again as soon as I get done paying some bills.

Your water color wardrobe is great. I can imagine myself mix and matching these on my trip to Jamaica, which exists only in my dreams I’m afraid. Hubby is not much of a traveler and definitely not to an island surrounded by water. That would be only me. The outfits in the posts were all lovely and I will be looking at them again. The brownie idea was great and they really look delicious!

Cold and windy here with another colder front coming through. I had to unplug my blow-ups again today. Hopefully the wind will die down enough for me to have them up on Halloween at least.

I’m really worried about Joy. If it was just having the power out, she usually checks in with her phone. Reading the comments about her experiences with all this the last time makes me wonder if she’s had to evacuate. Obviously there would be a lot on her mind if that was so. I will be praying for her and hope we hear from her soon.

    1. Hi Barbara,
My hubby is pretty much a home body too…I don’t think he’d ever go on a cruise or an exotic trip…:o)
I’m praying for Joy too…she hasn’t ket me know anything so far…I’m hoping her phone is just out of charge…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Hi everyone,
Joy just got ahold of me and had this to say…
“Just got power back a few minutes ago. Been pretty scary as we were the next to evacuate. But fortunately, we didn’t have to although we were packed. Difficult to decide what goes and what doesn’t.
Have felt like a pioneer around here. Freezing at night and heavy smoke all day. Only place to get warm was the car. But, now that we finally have power back, all is looking up. Fire is much improved and winds didn’t kick up as much as they thought last night. One night all we did was listen for pings to see if we had to evacuate. Therefore, no sleep at all. Anyway, we’re fine, but tired.
Looks like the cataract is all gone? Yay.”

I’m so glad she is okay…but still keep her in your prayers…
    Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Lots of variety today. I hope you are feeling better today than yesterday. That was fun, I checked out a few of the old posts. I remember Lian’s dress, so pretty and the picture of Reuben checking out the teeth was funny to see again. Your watercolor pictures were wonderful.
I’m glad you enjoyed my “pirate talk” yesterday, but I can’t take credit for coming up with the lusty vinyl lassies. That is how dolls is translated on AG Playthings on Pirate Day. I thought is was so funny that I remembered it.
I was watching videos of the Sonoma County wildfires and they are terrifying. I’ll be praying for Joy and hope that she can check in soon. I also think if she had to evacuate she would have so many concerns.

    1. Hi Laura,
Joy did just check in with me
I told her we were all concerned about her and could she please let us know in 30 seconds or so if she was okay. I copied her email…it’s just above your comments.

I really did enjoy your pirate talk and had fun trying to read it with a pirate accent to my hubby and Rebecca.

My eyes are better today…the new one is almost back to normal in looks…I can see up close very well…so working on my phone is easy.
I’m ready to get the next one done and start seeing what I’ve been missing!!
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. So glad you heard from Joy!! I think everyone of us was worried about her! What a relief!! Hang in there Joy. We are praying for you!!!

So glad your surgery went well, too, Jeanne!!! It will be quite odd sight until the other eye is done and by the time the 8th comes, you’ll be way more than ready! Do what the doctor says and if you need to rest your eye, then rest them. The sewing will come soon enough. : )

I’ve loved seeing Linda’s displays and the other’s contributions to the blog, too. It’s been great. Love and Big hugs, to all….Ali

    1. Hi Ali,
It’s always nice when you join in…I’m so glad you enjoy it here!!
I’m already ready for the left eye to be fixed!! I’m seeing close up things very well!!!

It really was wonderful to get a short note from Joy!! Those poor people out in CA…I can’t imagine what they are going through.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. It’s good to hear you are getting better. I enjoyed the old posts you linked; I remember them, and it’s a trip down memory lane! Thank you for posting an update on Joy. If you hear from her again, please let her know we are thinking of her.

It is cold and wet here. I decided it was perfect chili weather which involved a stop at the grocery store after work. I hope the next time I decide to stop at the store at 5pm, someone will talk me out of it! I made a big pot of chili and put half in the freezer, so I can just warm it up next time!

    1. Hi Carolyn,
I tried to find a few varied topics to post for everyone today. I’m glad you enjoyed them!

I think chili is always better the second time it’s warmed up. It was chilly here today too and think it’s supposed to only get up to 39 tomorrow and get down to 25 tomorrow night. Our Fall is disappearing quickly.
      Thanks Carolyn,
      Blessings, Jeanne
