~ Vision of a Valentine ~ for 10″ Boneka Effner dolls is listed on Ebay

HI everyone,
I hope all the ladies in California and Nevada are okay… I see Joy checked in and a little later Susette checked in. We are glad you are both safe. Please be careful and don’t take any chances. I hope your weather improves very soon!

I received the most adorable picture from the winner of Noel’s last dress… the brown and pink set. May I introduce you to Bethany. She’s a Monday’s Child, Boneka doll, and looks so sweet all dressed up. Thank you so much for sharing! :o)

I did my best to get some pictures of Noel outside, but I can’t really say they are much better at showing the correct color of her dress set than the ones I took inside. Oh well, there’s a few new pictures to look at anyway. Then I managed to get the dress listed on Ebay. I’m running this as a 3 day auction, so it will end Thursday evening. That way, if someone wants it for Valentine’s Day, they should receive it in plenty of time.

Here are a few of the pictures I used in the listing…

If you’d like to see the listing, click the picture at the right side bar or click HERE. I hope you’ll take a peek.

We have decided to have a Married Couple’s Valentine Party this year… our Pastor even said he would come “alone” but he was okay.
It is going to be at a Chinese restaurant here in town and the banquet room is pretty tiny, so I’m having to put on my thinking cap for “sit in your seat” games as there’s not a lot of room to get up and move around. I still plan on being here, but until the 13th, I’ll be limited on how much time I can spend sewing…

Well, that’s it for me… I worked hard to get Noel’s dress set listed and I’m ready for bed.

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

I see that Noel’s dress already has two bids!! I like the idea of the 3-day auction, which will benefit the winner if she wants to put her doll in it for Valentine’s day.

So nice to see the brown and pink outfit on the winner’s Boneka doll (very cute doll, by the way).

Time for bed. I’ll talk more tomorrow.

Glad to hear that Joy and Suzette are ok. Hoping all is better there today, it sounds really scary!
I am with Charlotte on the jacket but I LOVE the rest of the outfit. Wish I could see it in person. Going to the dentist today, a crown came off Saturday, seems like it always happens on the weekend. Meanwhile the part under the crown is breaking because I couldn’t get an appointment yesterday. Yuk!
    Have a good day everyone!

Glad you can get into the dentist today. Sometimes it might be a much longer wait. Hope they can save the crown.

Thank you Joy, but I found out that that tooth and the one behind it, 2 lower molars, are gone and I have to have the out. I have decided to see about implants even though I am 84. I would still have to have them out and then a partial that has to be dealt with morning and night. implants and crowns are pricey but this is why i have not gone crazy spending the amount of my inheritance from my parents that is still there. We shall see if I make the right decision.

My cousin just had an implant and bone graft. I’m sure I will need one or more at some point. My dad who lived to 94 had several, I think they are the way to go.

Craziness with our power company, PGE. Our other house has been without power for several days but was supposed to come on at 800 last night. Time came and went and no update. Around 10:00, our power went out. First thing I said was I bet that they turned off ours when they turned on the power at our other house. Ours returned about a half an hour later. I checked the outage map this morning and other house is back on again. It came on at exactly when ours went out. Go figure. However, our across the street neighbor still has no power. She is on a different circuit from ours. The estimated time of restoration for her house is now tomorrow night. They say they are working on it. Hope so.
And I received an note from RRFF’s that both of my dolls have been sent. Two doll boxes arriving on the porch at the same time is not a good thing. Other person will be having a fit.
For whatever reason, Noel’s indoor pics are more color correct than the outdoor overexposed. Maybe she isn’t used to the bright sunshine after the winter cold. 🙂 I’m sure she will be upset when her latest outfit quickly sells.
Looks like sun today. Nice to have a break, but we do expect sprinkles later in the week.
Hope everyone has comfortable temps and good weather.

Dear Joy, I am glad the power is on now.
I am looking forward to your next dolly update. I can’t wait to hear!

  4. Mother Nature sure seems to have issues. She can’t seem to have normal seasons any more.
Good luck with you couples dinner Jeanne. Have you ever played “ Left, Right , Center? A fun little game played with three dice- like things. All each player needs is three of something and any number can play. We use quarters but anything works.. Hershey Kisses would be fun for Valentines Day.

I love to play “Left, Right, Center”! I have played in a family gathering, $3 a person and all the money goes back in a bag at the end. Played it once at a gathering, $3 a person and the pot got to $70! it was just me and a guy at the end…..he won!. I play it with dried beans with our after school kids. They love it as if it were money, LOL!

I love seeing the picture of the winner’s doll from the last auction. It’s always fun when the winner does that. I will definitely be watching this auction carefully. Sometimes I bid early on and then forget to check back in and lose by a dollar or two. But one time I was bidding against someone and they kept upping their bid so I did too. All of a sudden I realized I was bidding passed what I had planned so I backed out before it was too late. I was obsessed. Probably a good thing I only do this on eBay.

So glad to hear my sofa sisters in CA have chimed in today. Hoping that their weather calms down soon and that they stay safe.

And a Happy Waitangi Day to our sofa sister Anne in New Zealand.

Thank you Barbara. It was interesting this year, huge protests but all peaceful. This new Govt is not popular with Maori.

Dear Jeanne, what a great idea a couple’s Valentine Dinner. Bingo is always a good seated activity.

Noel looks adorable in her outfit both inside the house and outside in the sun.

  7. Linda inSt. Louis

What a sweet little doll that won your outfit, Jeanne! I’m glad she has blonde hair, to show off the brown so much better. Those golden curls look adorable in the hat!

Noel’s hair outside looks a totally different color on my monitor, compared to what it looks inside! I like the inside pictures better for some reason or other. The colors just look better inside.

I’m afraid I have no suggestions on what sit down games to play! It should be a fun evening though, no matter what!
