Well, if you guessed a blue purse you would be right! I have decided to use the blue shoes with this blue dress and Sunday evening decided to make a sweet little purse to go with them. (If you were in the “white camp” for shoes, I’ll try to make something equally sweet to go with them next time around.)
Instead of a shoulder strap, though, I did decide to make this purse more of a swingy hand carried one. I added one white flower to the front and then stitched it in white to match the shoes.

It opens up and your doll can carry things in it if she likes…
The shoes and purse make a perfect set to go with this dress or other things too!

Oh, I really do like this little purse–it’s just the perfect accessory with the shoes!!
I was of the camp where maybe you should offer the choice of white or blue shoes, but in an auction, that might not be so doable. That said, since we already see that the blue shoes looked great with this particular print (and the white shoes could go with pretty much Any color of print), I think you made the right decision to do it this way. (And the candy looks pretty wonderful, too!!)
I actually was in both camps, thinking the blue at first was too intense, wishing for white shoes, then went back to the blue, back and forth! Now that you added that cute purse, I think you made the right decision! You always do, Jeanne!
A pretty blue bow would balance the outfit off, but if it is dark blue, it won/t show up as well with a doll that has darker hair. Maybe a medium blue ribbon would work best, like the color of the backrgound of the dress!
For sure that yummy chocolate candy has no problems with melting! It has been too cold for that!

Being from the blue shoes camp, the handbag is a perfect addition. 🙂 Since the outfit is pretty springy, maybe a simple bow for her hair? I prefer Sara in her natural state. Of course, some flowers woven in her braid might be sweet as well. 🙂
Looks like the rain has stopped for now. Might get a dry day today. I’m heading out to shake the water off of the daffodils so they can maybe stand upright once again.

I had been thinking that you had given Sara a really cute hairstyle. I really like that braid.
The whole outfit is welcoming to Spring and the blue purse and shoes make the pretty dress a complete perfect outfit. I agree with a blue bow for Sara’s hair too.

Glad you went with the blue shoes because the blue purse is perfect to complete the outfit. And white will go with anything so you have part of a future outfit already. The idea of a bow for her hair is good but I also like Joy’s idea of flowers in her braid.
It is cold here too. I just looked at the temp and saw we haven’t reached 50 degrees yet and it’s almost noon. David said it was 40 when he woke up this morning and I think I saw where we will be in the 30s at some point this week. I just go with the flow and be glad the heat has not yet arrived in force.
Never had time to comment Saturday, but with the thigh highs I was back in the blue shoes camp. The purse is the perfect addition. Sara looks very sweet. Blue skies here and sunshine and the crocus and tete a tete daffodils are up and blooming.
I just love the blue shoes and purse, they go so well with the dress! And who doesn’t love having matching accessories for their doll? I don’t have any great ideas for a hair accessory but whatever you decide I think it should be something simple.
It actually has just the teeniest hint of warmth in the air today. my daughter brought me some starter San Mariano tomato plants today . They were too big for her tiny starter unit . Just smelling them was a treat.

It’s funny, but everyone seemed to want a blue ribbon for her hair… and guess what she got… a blue ribbon. I was on my way into town this morning to look for a ribbon, because this is kind of a different color of blue, and I looked at the comments right before I left, and was thrilled that we were all on the same wave length! You’ll see it tonight…as it’s being listed and will appear soon on Ebay!
