More sparkles today, but for the Ruby Red Fashion Friends, Siblies…

First up though… don’t forget to check out “The Perfect Christmas Dress” ending Friday evening on Ebay… Molly has already been “stripped” and she wasn’t happy! Red is her color and she wanted to wear it a little longer! If you’d like to take a peek, you can find it on Ebay by clicking the picture on the right side bar, or you can click HERE.

Second up… We are going to have a day where I share funny stories FROM YOU ALL, about sewing, cooking or crafting… be thinking of something and if you can, email it to me before Wednesday of next week. I’ve already gotten one story from Dorothy from PA and she suggested we have a fun day of reading about each others blunders or mistakes or disasters… If you don’t get your story to me, you can share it in the comments on that day…

Thursday I showed pictures of some necklaces I had made for the 14.5″ Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls. (Click HERE for that post and pictures of the necklaces left). I got a suggestion from Joy (I think) saying she’d like to see the necklaces with some clothing on… so I was going to at least start an outfit so you could see how the necklaces fit around a constructed bodice…

But… I decided to finish making a few more necklaces for the Siblies… they are the 12″ little sister/brother of the bigger dolls. I’ve discovered these wire rings I’m using work best on the RRFF dolls and it’s because of the way the neck and shoulders are shaped. I took a picture of the dolls from the side so you can see what I mean…

Here is a RRFF 14.5″ doll on the left and a 13″ Little Darling on the right… the RRFF neck and shoulders are sloped so the necklace doesn’t ride up on the back of the neck as much, but lays flatter… Also the chest doesn’t stick out as far as it does on the Little Darling…

Here is a picture of my Little Darling, Emmie in one of the necklaces I made for the 14.5″ dolls yesterday… It might work for you, but it doesn’t look like it fits her very well to me… kind of just stands out all the way around her neck.

This is a picture of Emmie in the necklaces I made today for the 12″ RRFF Siblies… it’s too small… unless you like your doll to look like she’s choking!

I also took a picture of the 14.5″ RRFF doll and the 12″ RRFF Siblies doll… so you can see how similar the shape of their neck and shoulders are…

I took a few pictures of 14″ Betsy McCall in the necklaces I made for the 14.5″ dolls AND the Siblies and here she is in them…Depending on the style and the beads used, she “might” be able to wear these necklaces…

I tried a necklace made for the Siblies on my 10″ Boneka doll, Noel, and it doesn’t look quite right on her either… it might be fine to you, but I wouldn’t advertise it’s for Boneka dolls…

So do you want to see them ON the Siblies? Yes, let’s!

Here are the 6 made for the 12″ Ruby Red Fashion Friends, Siblies!

This one is a good example of how well they fit around the “right” dolls neck…

BUT… that’s not all I made… I had some “ring” size wire and made some necklaces and they seemed to fit my 8″ Ten Ping very well…

The smaller necklaces are actually more time consuming than the bigger beaded headbands… the wire is stiffer and I had 3 where I beaded them and got to the end where you curl it under and my wire broke. I had to make 3 of them over… boo hoo! So the price will be the same for these…

1 necklace $ 8.00
2 necklaces $14.00
3 necklaces $20.00
4 necklaces $25.00

If you are interested in any of them, email me using the “Contact Me” tab at the top of my post, or leave your choice in the comments below…

Thanks everyone…
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

It was interesting to see the comparisons of the dolls, and their shapes. It seems to me, the thing that makes the biggest difference, even more than “shape”, is the length of the neck. Those RRFFs and Siblies simply have longer necks than the other dolls!! It looks like Betsy wears the Siblies-size necklace very nicely, actually. The other one seems too large.

Now, about those Siblies necklaces–they are so pretty, too! I think B and D are my favorites.

And…necklaces for TenPing? Please don’t tell Gigi! That girl is so spoiled already, with not one but Three JeanneMarie creations!! 😂🤣😂 Seriously, though, I like the blue one best, even though Gigi’s favorite color (as she is none too shy about saying) is pink!

What a pretty array of necklaces, Jeanne! It will take awhile for me to decide what would work best for Betsy and Emmy.

Today is my hubby’s birthday and a little party is planned this afternoon, so I have to get going! Still have to make the cake and decorate, plus run to the grocery store, so a busy day for me!

    1. You designed some awfully sweet necklaces! Lots of colors and styles. Your pictures are so clear and I love it when you show the differences in the body styles and sizes.
Party tonight…so making tiny little individual cakes for each one… 5 down…. 10 to go!
Have a lovely Autumn weekend everyone🍁🍂🎃

Dear Kathie, I am glad that you looked at Martha’s site. She sometimes posts free patterns.

So many lovely necklaces. So little time today. I’ll be back later to take another look. The photos really help in my necklace decisions. Thank you Jeanne.
I spent my allotted time this morning watching Ruby Red and Derf answer questions turned in by those in the RRFF Facebook group. And the last question of the interview was one of mine. 🙂

Dear Jeanne, well you can certainly add jeweler to your list of trades.

I am glad we will have a “share a story” day next week. I am looking forward to reading about other Sisters’ fiascos (laugh). I have had many of my own.

I know that the Sofa Sisters like to know about free patterns I am placing a link here to Martha Boers’ site Antique Lilac. She has created a pattern for a beautiful nightgown for a ball jointed fashion doll. I don’t know if the Sisters sew for these dolls but I thought I would pass along the information anyway.

    Happy weekend to all!
