Easter came late to my blog…

HI everyone,
I wasn’t able to get many of your pictures to upload on my computer and to the library of my website, so I had to wait until “help” arrived. Sarah to the rescue and now I’m able to retrieve them and show everyone what has been happening all across the planet. I showed a few things yesterday and today we will have our Easter dresses on display! Sorry they are late, but I hope you won’t mind!

Linda sent me pictures of her girls dressed up for Easter and they FINALLY get to show the world what they wore! As always, they look beautiful! This is what Linda had to say about their dresses:

The 40’s girls got really fancy this year, since I bought Maryellen’s Pretty Pink dress, so had to give the other two a fancy dress too. I decided against them holding the baskets, since the dresses got all smashed, and the baskets were a bit heavy. They love getting dressed up!

The modern dolls and Betsy are again, just standing on a shelf! The big girls don’t wear a hat, since who wears a hat anymore? Plus, I ran out of hats!!

Felicity and Cecile don’t live in the same century, but they do in my room!! I had Cecile wear that pretty blue dress last year, since I managed to get the hat, and it goes so well, and it looks so Eastery! Felicity is actually wearing Elizabeth’s dress..I got it for a song and had to add the buttons in the front, and picked a pretty pink ribbon to go around the waist. Oh, and I made her hat too!

Thanks so much Linda! We ALWAYS enjoy seeing dresses, even if the holiday has past! Your girls have never looked so pretty!

Next up, I thought I’d show you a bit of Easter from someone else! The little blue and white bonnet set fit on her Heartstrings doll…although the bonnet was just a little bit big. She said if she changed her wig, it would probably fit fine. But… the dress that fit Ten Ping fits the Heartstrings… I didn’t know that.

The other bonnet was the natural looking straw one. Look how sweet her girl looks in it… Thank you dear “buyer!”

Joy sent some pictures of flowers blooming out in California. We need flowers for all our Easter dresses! This is our “commercial!”

This is a Bird of Paradise and isn’t it gorgeous? Thanks for sharing Joy!

The purple one is a lilac bush at her parents house…

Kathie also sent pictures of her girls dressed up for Easter. “The littler they are, the sweeter they be!” :o) Thanks Kathie… they are precious!

This isn’t an Easter dress, but Deb sent this picture of her granddaughter, Jacey, rocking the bulldog dress I made for her a while back. Isn’t she adorable?

Well, what do you know? I think I’m all caught up on pictures that have been sent to me…

I hope you rock your Friday! I hope to!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

What a fun post! Thanks to everyone who shared pictures. I loved them all!

I did take pictures of my girls on Easter, and forgot to send them to Jeanne.I need to get to bed now, so will try to remember tomorrow….Sorry about that!!

Today I mailed a package to the two youngest grandsons–a book for each of them (no school the rest of the school year for them, so a new book will be enjoyed) as well as some masks. They are 12 and 13, and both taller than we are–in fact, the 13-year-old is about as tall as our son now–and he’s 6′ tall!

  2. Oh dear, I just started writing, and whoosh, it was gone! I hate it when that happens!

I live the sweet dolls featured today, Jeanne! I’m so happy. That someone got to use that beautiful blue and white outfit and the two hats for Easter! They look adorable!
Joy’s flowers are just beautiful, and while we have lilacs blooming, the Bird of a paradise is not one of them!

Kathies dolls are just adorable! They all seem to be LD dolls, or are they? Love the dresses!

Deb’s granddaughter looks so cute in her new dress! I was wondering what happened to that dress. By the way, is her real name Jacey, or is that a nickname? It sure fits her!

And now I had better post this before I lose it again!

  3. Well, what a fun early morning display. So many great photos.
Linda, all of your girls look so well dressed. Know that must have taken a long time to get them all ready. And your Easter basket collection is fantastic as well as all of those cute little bunnies and goodies. I would love to see a photo of just your baskets. They are so detailed. I never see baskets that small.
How fun seeing Jeanne’s dresses on their new owners. Mades me realize how cute the Boneka looks with an LD. Sweet.
Love Kathie’s kids all dressed in their finery. Such cute poses too. They look so real. That blue dress in the front on the dark haired LD is my favorite. So pretty.
And last, Jacey looks to be a children’s catalog modeling queen. So much energy and cuteness.
Thanks for sharing the great Easter parade today Jeanne.

    1. Joy, I found most of the small baskets at Hobby Lobby during the Easter season several years ago. Ivy is holding an AG basket that comes with Kit’s CandyMaking Set. Betsy’s basket came from an Easter craft show, and Scarlett’s came from another craft show. I’ll try to remember to take a picture of just the baskets before I put them away.

Dear Jeanne, thanks for sharing photos from the blog family.

I love the outfits on Linda’s girls. I noticed the little Alexanders in the background. I always enjoy seeing them.

The Buyer’s two girls were sweet. The Boneka has a cute little face.

What a fun “commercial” Joy sent. The flower are beautiful.

Kathie’s girls certainly love their bunnies. I think I saw a Little Darling BJD in one photo.

And you ended with Jacey, a living doll, how wonderful.

    Happy Friday to all.

  5. That Jacey is one darling real doll! What a sweetie. The dolls Linda dressed are so Eastery! I’m in love with that white eyelet one…brilliant! Enjoyed the flower pictures too.
We were having Spring until yesterday when we got 5 inches of SNOW!…but it is melting already so hopefully will be gone tomorrow.
The Little Darling and and Heartstring doll look like sisters and the blue and white ensemble is adorable on her!
Some mentioned the light blue dress on one of my dolls..that was the dress i received in the Christmas swap on the Little Darling site. So many of the nicest dresses I have came from their swap! The 3 center dolls are Little Darlings and the 2 on the end are Paola Reina and the one in back is …. rats, I can’t remember🤪

    1. I think the cutie in the back right posing so sweetly with the bunny is Ruby Red Fashion Friends Bella if I’m not mistaken. Have you seen the latest FF girl, Kayla? She’s pretty cute. 🙂

  6. All the dolls in Easter finery looked wonderful! I did get mine out of Christmas finally and ready for spring/summer. I didn’t do any spring decorating. It felt pointless as our son couldn’t come home for anything. Then we got 6 plus inches of snow on Easter Sunday. It hasn’t all melted so that makes it feel very not spring. I had planned to go back up to my dad’s once the threat of snow and ice was gone. That’s not happening . Now I wonder if we’ll even have the 4th of July party. Sorry for being such a little rain cloud. I keep telling myself it will get better.

    1. Julia, I see sparks of a slight return to normal. It will come however slowly. So itching to get into Joann’s. Bad me. I’m thinking of trying to get everyone ready for the 4th of July. At least the red/white/blue will be cheerful and they can celebrate Memorial Day first. 🙂

  7. What wonderful pictures! Such lovely Easter attire and so colorful. And Jacey in her bulldog dress is the cutest. Beautiful Bird-of-Paradise Joy and I love the picture of the lilacs at your parents’ house.

I never did get any Easter pictures taken so far this year. I’m still going to do some as soon as I finish Taylor Jane’s dress, but I’ll probably have to save them to show next year when it will be closer to Easter and less close to the 4th of July. I’ve been remiss in commenting lately but I do check in every day. I’ve had the grandkids a lot this past week and my grandson has the use of my computer while he’s here. My granddaughter uses my laptop. Next week will be much of the same as the guys have two more A/C jobs next week. They do new builds so social distancing is not a problem. They are the only ones on a job even normally. The other subs come at different times.

We just got word today that the grandkids school is closed for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year. They were supposed to go back May 4. Not sure how all this is going to work out for next school year.

I’ve made a mask for my granddaughter and one for my grandson and am waiting to see what our church comes up with in the way of returning to Sunday services. I still need to make masks for hubby and myself and my son and daughter-in-law if they need them. I’ll be so glad when all this is over, as will everyone else I’m sure.

  8. Such a pretty Easter parade. Lovely things to look at in grim times.
Some good things, did you have news coverage of Captain Tom in Britain who raised £20 million walking in his back yard 100 times before his 100th birthday.
He is a ww2 veteran and the money is for the national health service. The local army did a guard of honour for his 100th lap. He gave a little speech to tell us all there had been dark days before but blue skies will come.
And little Jacey proud and pleased in her bulldog dress reminds us to be joyful.
