Patsy Tonner has a photo shoot outside…

PLEASE NOTE:
Bailey and Patsy’s new play set is listed on Ebay and you can take a peek at it by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.

Patsy asked why Bailey got to have pretty pictures taken out in the sunlight and she had to show off those drab pictures inside my sewing room… SO… I decided to give her an opportunity to “shine” outside and be just like Bailey… I guess it really wasn’t fair to let Bailey have all the pretty pictures, so Patsy, this post is for YOU!

Patsy looks a little bit “stiff” after posing Bailey in all those positions, but she really can’t help it.

Patsy’s head is quite a bit smaller than Bailey’s and especially with all that red hair, the hat was doomed not to fit… but I, being a seamstress, can change that. If you want this set for your Patsy, I will be happy to make the hat fit your Patsy’s head. :o)

Patsy said she could lay down and be stylish, just like Bailey was…

I agree, Patsy… you are stylish! :o)

Well, if you saw the listing already, you saw all of Patsy’s pictures, BUT you didn’t hear what she had to say about modeling! :o)

Today is the day that Alba has been working for these last 5 years…defending her Thesis. Please whisper a prayer for her this morning as she speaks before her professors.

Thanks everyone,
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Thanks Christal,
I’m sure Alba will appreciate your prayers…
It’s 15 minutes till she starts.

Well, Patsy looks pretty cute in that outfit, too! Even though the hat is too big, it is kind of cute as it is, also–like a little girl trying on momma’s hat just for fun!

Do keep us posted on how Alba does when she defends her thesis. I’ll be praying that she feels well, and has the self-confidence to get thru this challenge! We all know that she Knows her information!!

    1. Hi Charlotte,
It does kind of look like shes playing dress up with her momma’s hat…
I think Alba is very prepared and will do well. I can’t imagine how relieved she’s going to feel afterwards…
      Thanks Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Really cute outfit – your Bailey is adorable!
Prayers for Alba. She has dedicated herself for this day and I’m sure she will be very impressive.

    1. Thank you Leigh,
I am so nutty over Bailey it’s crazy. I guess if you have one of these Dumplings, you understand my sentiment.
I know Alba and I’m sure she will do well… ;o)
      Thsnks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Patsy is cute too in that dress, Jeanne, although I must say Bailey really rocks it! The outside pictures are wonderful!

I have no hesitation saying that Alba will certainly be impressive in her presentation today. She seems to be a very determined woman and I am sure she will go far in life.

Grass is growing faster than you can ever hope to catch up with. Everything is blooming and it looks like Mother Nature is gearing up for a very pretty Mother’s Day weekend here!

    1. Hi Linda,
I agree you that Bailey rocks this set better. Maybe I should have tried it on Trixie Tonner, who is articulated and might have posed a little more lifelike!
I can’t wait to fund out how Alba thinks she did today… I bet she will be so relieved!

Cindy is flying to Debs house today and then they are coming here for Mothers Day…it does look like it’s going to be beautiful…
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. The photos in the great outdoors are lovely! That spot seems perfect for photos. I was remembering that folding screen you have and thinking it would be great to use with the green bushes peeking through on your next outfit perhaps. I use our human sized deck bench that has a back for most of my photos. Then, I can prop up any one who has a standing issue, and I can get down to dolly level without laying on my stomach.
My phone is fully charged this morning, so now if I can remember how to open it, I can get going. Fortunately, other person has had one quite a few years and knows most of the basics. Since he has a new model too, I don’t have to go far if I get stuck in the depths somewhere. I’m hoping I get so far as to figure out how to use the camera for photos. Makes me remember the early portable phones, the ones that were at least a foot long and had a giant antenna sticking out from the top. Many of you are too young to remember those. And the early video cameras with tiny tapes that we used to lug around. Several feet long and so heavy. Now all that technology is at my fingertips and fits in my palm in a format large enough for me to see. Amazing.
Be thinking of Alba this morning. I know she will do well. 🙂 Hope we get a performance update.

    1. Hi Joy,
Those pictures of Bailey were actually taken with her sitting on the bench IN the holly bushes out my kitchen door. I mean the bench was just nestled in the bushes…kind of strange looking from a distance, but cropped it looked pretty nice…
I hope you have learned all about picture taking on your new phone…aren’t new gadgets fun?…well, kind of fun..
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Best of luck to Alba for her thesis and her health.
My Patsy has joints so her knees bend. I think I’ve seen some that can bend their elbows. I finally got a vintage pattern that sorta kinda fits so I can sew something for her. It still needs lots of alterations. I’ve crocheted her dresses but never sewn for her or Ann Estelle who is the same size.
We have dreary wet weather today. No outdoor pictures here. Actually I rarely do that as I don’t want my doll falling over and damaging her face and/or getting dirty. I could probably be more adventurous about that.

    1. Hi Jillaurellia,
I have Trixie Tonner who has joints so maybe I should have used her for these pics… she is much more poseable and pretty cute too!

I haven’t ventured outside very much with my dolls so maybe we can learn this together…
      Thanks so much…
May I ask you how you pronounce your name? Is it like Jill Laur Ellie Uh? Just wondered…
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. It’s Jill a rail ya. I will have to find a picture of Trixie. I’m not familiar with her. Bailey has such an expressive face. Patsy looks perpetually surprised!

  6. The pictures of Patsy make my point about how we see our dolls as being able to do more than they actually can. But she’s still cute as a bug. I have to agree with Charlotte that the hat as is actually looks adorable. I guess it would depend on who wins the outfit whether or not you have to alter it. A Patsy winner might actually like the hat as is.

My MA Candy Cane Lissy has leg and arm joints, but they tend to make her a little floppy. Not floppy like she needs fixing but I struggle with posing her sometimes. Jane has knees that bend, but is a little stiff jointed and getting her knees to stay totally bent is a bit difficult. Tiny Betsy is more cooperative and always looks cute no matter how I pose her.

When I get to use my Tacky Wax I’ll let everyone know how it works. Still have a few things to get off my plate before I tackle photographing the girls. I need a day without “have tos”, if that’s even a possibility.

It’s now 10:45 a.m. here and I’m sending prayers for Alba’s success in defending her thesis. So glad she’s up to doing it. Getting this behind her can only be a good thing. Does she have firm future plans?

Much, too much rain here at the moment. Places north of Houston flooded badly yesterday and some schools are closed today. Those areas got 10 inches. I have no idea how much we had but it was supposed to clear the entire Houston area by 9 p.m. but it was still here to the west of Houston when I went to bed at 11:30 p.m. Dry and gloomy here at the moment but more rain is expected this afternoon. And tomorrow, and the next day. But they have lowered the chances for Mother’s Day and I hope that holds.

    1. Hi Barbara,
Thanks for your thoughts on Patsy’s new “big hat look.”
My “to do ” list is pretty long too…I have lots I want to get accomplished too. Maybe one of these days you’ll get to do what you want with your dolls.
I hope we have a pretty Mothers Day…I hope we are supposed to…
      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Dorothy in PA

Dear Jeanne, it’s almost noon here. I am hoping by now that Alba has defended and we may refer to her as Dr. Alba. Yeaaaaa!

The outfit looks divine. Patsy looks sweet but Bailey really made the ensemble her own. She is such a cutie doll.

    Happy May 8!

    1. Hi Dorothy in PA,
      I see you aren’t Dorothy of Oz yet… :o)
Yes, the next time I see Alba, I’ll call her Dr. Alba. She did well and only have minimal revisions to make. She is SO relieved. Thank you for your prayers.
Bailey really did “wear it best” didn’t she?
      Thanks Dorothy,
      Blessings, Jeanne
