    1. HI Charlotte,
I guess I should have hidden him a little and made him harder to find… oh well, it was just for fun!
      Thanks Charlotte,

  1. It took a bit of time but at last, I see him too! This was before I read Lynn’s clue! That is a darling nutcracker, Jeanne! For awhile, I was looking for the “real” Rueben, thinking he photo-bombed the picture!

I love the story you included with the new outfit for Rebecca, how clever! Leave it to you to “up” the bar for selling a doll dress! I guess you are also getting your, or rather George’s, nutcracker collection out and decorating the mantel? That certainly was a stroke of luck to have Rebecca pose with them and to add to the story! She looks lovely, and no one can seriously say there aren’t enough pictures to see what they are bidding on!

I have been decorating and have made good headway in getting a lot done. Of course, I am exhausted by the end of the day hauling tubs of decorations up and down the steps, but today is a new day and I’m ready to go again. Since the rain is going to be here most of the day, I might as well get it done, so I can enjoy the month, and take time with the trees.

    Have a good Sunday, Jeanne!

    1. HI Linda,
I told Rebecca you thought Reuben photo bombed the picture, and she laughed!

Yes, I’ve got tubs of Christmas stuff everywhere…and those nutcrackets…all 42 of them are on the fireplace… maybe I need to thin them out and just keep the best ones…

I’m glad you liked my storyline…I was worried it might be too long and drawn out… George liked it!
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. You got it listed! I’m so glad that worked out. Imagine if someone thought they got the nutcrackers. I do think you were specific enough and what a great way to share them and show them off.
Your stew sounds lovely and just what you needed on a day like yesterday.
My cold is fading, just not as quickly as I’d like. Maybe by Monday.

    1. HI Marilyn,
Our stew was very good and I wish there was still some left…
I certainly hope no one thinks those nutcrackers are included…maybe I better make it more clear…
I’m glad your cold is getting better and let’s hope Monday gets here quicker!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Love the nutcracker collection, especially Reuben. 🙂 Rebecca looks so cute in the middle of her dream. Our daughter’s childhood collection now belongs to her oldest son. He loves them too.
The Nutcracker premiered in 1892, in Russia, but was not popular at Christmas time until the 1940’s. Had to add in that tidbit. I always enjoy seeing the Christmas performances, now mostly on tv.
More rain last night, not complaining, but also more leaves down. The yard waste can is already full so no where for them all to go. 🙁
Looking forward to your listings having lots of bids on this first day of December 2018.

    1. HI Joy,
As I’ve been putting all the nutcrackers out, I’m realizing we might have too many…I’m wanting a pretty look and I’ve got whimsical…hmm
Before I did my story, I brushed up the Nutcracker story too…just to be sure…

I hope the rain doesn’t turn things into a mess for you…wet leaves can be a problem.
      Thanks Joy
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. I loved your presentation for selling Rebecca’s beautiful outfit. It was fun to read. I didn’t know who Reuben was so I had no clue what to look for. I do a Christmas village each year on my dining room table. That takes the longest because it’s involved and bending up and down kills my back so I have to do it in spurts. I was saying to my hubby today that I don’t know why I do it because no one comes at Christmas. He said I do it because I enjoy it and he’d miss it. Too true. Our daughter and family live in Colorado and don’t travel at Christmas. We have a quiet day here on Christmas Day so our youngest son and his family can spend Christmas day with her family who also live in the area. We actually have our family Christmas with them on Boxing Day which also happens to be my birthday. So in essence we kill two birds with one stone and I get to spend my birthday with family. My daughter-in-law makes me her wonderful chicken enchiladas for lunch. After a day of opening gifts and enjoying each other, my hubby takes me to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I like the Cheesecake Factory but it’s mostly because it is in a shopping area that decorates fabulously and I love to go there. My tree is up but my village is clamoring to be let out of their boxes. It’s a once-a-year opportunity for them and they want to make the most of it.

    1. HI Barbara,
Reuben is our Miniature Schnauzer… our daughter, Rebecca, got her dad the schnauzer nutcracker last year or the year before for Christmas. It’s on the second row…2nd one in on the left.
I am just now getting my ornaments and decorating things out. I’m hoping to maybe have a small party with a few friends over so I’m wanting to get my decorating done asap!

I have a friend who sets up those little houses and she said it does take a lot of work.
I hope you get your finished!
      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. Barbara, I’s love to see your villages! I do that too, but have mine scattered al around in our family room, and they stay out all year! I did add a new scene this year to add to the fun!
If you can, send Jeanne a picture of it when you get it all set up, we all would love to see it!
