Felicity’s Colonial Pinner Cap

Hi everyone,

We got our first tomatoes today. They aren’t fabulous, and need a few more days to ripen, but they look pretty decent. We didn’t cut into one yet. My hubby likes to see if he can get his first red tomato before the 4th of July! “Missed it by THAT much!”

It seems like I’m getting closer to finishing up Felicity’s dress. I was going to say, “Maybe I’ll have it finished by Labor Day,” but I didn’t think that sounded very funny! I hope to get a petticoat made for her tomorrow… and then we’ll be closer to being done! :o)

I used the same white Batiste as I did for the sleeve ruffles and the ruffle around the neckline. The Pinner Cap itself, is also made from the fabric. I gathered up the ruffle and stitched it close to the edge of the cap. Then I tied a bow from a matte ribbon and stitched it on the back and left the tails to hang down just past Felicity’s shoulders.

I also added 2 snap clips on the bottom side of the Pinner Cap to hold it in place. All you have to do is catch a tiny bit hair and snap it shut. They are sort of curved on the top of her head, which helps it not look quite so flat.

I left it all white so it would be worn with anything. If the winner wants to add a sprig from a flower, they can.

I received some pictures from Elizabeth, but will show them tomorrow. You are going to see her talent again!

We shall meet again tomorrow, same time, same place!
Blessings, Jeanne
