HI everyone,
Just a silly title to make you guess a little bit.
The “Cat” is brought to you by Laura…
Hi Jeanne,
Linda wanted to know and see who wears the Medieval Princess costume at my house. It is Gilead. Here she is with her sweet pup, Lily May, who is masquerading as what else but a black kitty. 🐈⬛❣️
Blessings!
Laura
The “Hat” is for Emmie…but so is the “Tee” for Thee! You’ll see…
I did get a long sleeve tee made to go with Emmie’s overalls. I also forgot about this brown wig and changed her from that “wild” brown wig. This one is a synthetic mohair and is super soft, so the braids look and feel much nicer. I may use the blonde wig for a few of my Ebay pictures, but think this one looks better overall.
I think I like the tee better than the blouse, but I’ll still include the blouse, which is hemmed now.
I also made a hat in a rust colored Doe Suede, or faux suede. It’s pretty cute sitting on Emmie’s head… and has been decorated a little bit to pick up the blue…
Of course, blue ribbons will come with the set…
I found some brown shoes in my stash, so I won’t be making any shoes for this set… sorry!
AND…I found a Scrabble Game in my stash of toys, so Emmie said she wanted it for her “accessory!”
So, there you have it… a Cat, a Hat, a Tee for Thee…
A Scrabble game… is THIS a set that’s calling your name???
I’ll see you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

First of all, before I forget….Joy, I replied to your comment to what I wrote on yesterday’s blog, having to do with stitch length, etc.
Laura, that Medieval Costume looks wonderful on your Gilead! And her little doggie is so cute, too, with the kitty mask!
Jeanne, that t-shirt is just terrific with the overalls. I love the blouse, too, of course, but the t-shirt really makes the outfit! And her hat is just perfect, and such a darling accessory. I hope Emmie has brushed up on her spelling, so she can play a good game of Scrabble!
Thanks for letting me know about your post yesterday. I just took a look. I have a newer machine, Babylock Accord, and do have many manuels. Maybe I should actually read them? But, what you mentioned makes sense and hopefully, I can figure it out. The way I do it now, is how I used to do when using my old Singer from 1967. Too bad the gears fell apart. 🙁
Thank you so much, Charlotte!
Oh, how pretty Gilead is in her medieval Princess costume, Laura! Thank you so much for showing it and her pup is so cute in her costume too! I missed out on some of the pet costumes, but have a few. AG doesn’t seem to do pet costumes any more, much to my dismay.
Oh Jeanne, THAT is what I meant when you first showed Emmie in those cute overalls, when I mentioned a striped tee shirt! That hits the spot exactly! While the blouse is cute, this is more like I would think a little girl would like to wear while playing outside or going to the pumpkin patch. I love the way you scrunched up the sleeves, so cute!
The hat is perfect! It certainly adds character to the outfit as a whole, and her “new” wig is perfect for her and this outfit! A 10 out of 10!
Thank you so much, Linda! AG did some really cute ones for Coconut in the early 2000s. I ended up “needing” quite a few.
Oh Laura! Gilead looks beautiful in her purple medieval gown! It’s the perfect costume for her. And Lily May has us all fooled – you’d never know it was her under that mask! So cute and precious!
Jeanne, I too love the striped tee with her pants. More playful looking even though the shirt is cute too. I like her more in this wig – it brings out her blue eyes even more and the hat is perfect and adds a playful look to her outfit. You always find the neatest accessories ! Love that scrabble game. Perfect size as an accessory for Emmie
Paula, I had to read your lovely poem late yesterday,so am telling you now how special it is, just what we needed to hear. it brought such love from you. I wish Susette’s family could see it. Thank you for sending it for us.
Hi Sissy, I wish I had Dorothy’s talent for poetry but I did not write that beautiful poem. It was our Dorothy.
Thank you so much, Paula! Gilead will likely be the only one in any costume this year. Lily May loves that she’s fooling everyone, but she also knows that a black kitty is the BEST this time of year or any.
Missed Y”all yesterday, just too late to write. I enjoyed it all though!
Joy, your dress turned out great, especially the collar. I know how hard it is to get them to lie down. The plaid is so pretty and the shoes go perfectly with it all. Thank you for sharing!
Linda, as always, your dolls are “dressed to kill” for Halloween! I loved them all, but especially the Tinkerbell, Cowgirl and Mermaid. Each has a special memory for me. The table is so wonderfully done I am surprised the girls had not enjoyed it already! I could through a few Halloween photos but yours would just make mine look pitiful!
Jeanne, that outfit is so cute on Emmie, and would on any doll that size. The striped shirt is perfect and the hat just adorable. The shoes too. Love it all.
Oh Sissy, no, don’t feel that my doll pictures outshine yours! I love to see what others do too, and I get ideas from everyone else. Thank you so much for the compliments!
Dear Sissy, thank you for your nice words about my poem for Susette. I hope that if her family does see it, it will give them some comfort.
Hi Dorothy, Jeanne absolutely has to print your lovely poem off and send it to Susette’s family.
Dorothy, Sorry I got the wrong “D” lady. I have so much going on right now, by head is spinning! Thank you for your wonderful words.
Thanks on the dress. You’re too kind. 🙂
Dear everyone, I love silly titles, Jeanne. Very “quippy”
Laura, your girl Gilead is beautiful in this costume. Very elegant. I love her sweet pup dressed as a kitty!
Jeanne, this ensemble turned out so nice! I do like the choice between a blouse and a t-shirt. I like the blouse too.
I have not played scrabble in ages. …. well, from 2016 until June 2023 daddy and I played almost daily. He always won. He was almost 100 when he went to Heaven.
I hope everyone has a perfectly productive day. I have a lot to do.
At least we have happy Autumnal Sunshine
Thank you so much, Rosemary!
Well, Gilead, doesn’t look like she was from the Medieval Dark Ages. Thankfully. With that great outfit, she would definitely have won the best dressed award at the costume ball. Thank you Laura and Jeanne, for sharing this wonderful photo. And I never would have guessed that Lily Mae, wasn’t a kitty. So cute. 🙂
I do really like Emmie with dark hair. That cute wig matches her eyebrows and is so cute with the outfit. I like the tee and the hat is amazing. Some LD is going to be thrilled with this great creation.
I was awakened with the sounds of a cat fight at 3:00 AM this morning. Got up because I knew who it was. Turned on the porch light and opened the door. There was poor Charlotte, the neighbor’s cat, cowering on the bench and Callie Cat, not far away who did not appreciate my spotlight focused on her. However, she didn’t listen when I told her to go to the backyard. Disoriented, and sleepy, I had trouble making a decision. Charlotte, however, did not, as she hopped off the bench and scurried inside the open door. Now what? Of course, I was dressed in only my short night wear and barefoot and it was pretty cold. Finally, with a decision made, I retreated back inside. Couldn’t spot Charlotte, but quickly ran across the house panting and grabbed my robe and put on slippers. Back to the front door, Charlotte, managed to return to the outdoors as I slipped back outside. With my spotlight, I managed to chase Callie Cat around the house, down the side, and back over the fence all the while clapping and trying to herd her along. I didn’t want to make too much noise and wake the neighbors. Once Callie Cat, was in the backyard, I came back around the house and up the steps to find Charlotte waiting on the mat. I told her to go home, but she didn’t move. Maybe she didn’t hear me. So, I went back inside turned on the deck light and there was Callie Cat sitting by the slider door. In weakness and not knowing how to remedy the situation, I grabbed a can of cat food and filled two dishes. Gave one to Charlotte, out in front, and one to Callie Cat. Problem solved for the moment. However, when we got up, Charlotte was still on the porch and Callie on the deck, both awaiting their usual feeding time. I gave in and fed them both again. I’m exhausted.
Thank you so much, Joy! Oh, you poor thing with the middle of the night cat fusses. And then Charlotte in the house. Of course, I can’t open the door in the middle of the night here and risk porch kitties in the house when I can’t see where they are. Too dangerous for my kitties.f there is a cat fuss I just turn on the porch light and little lighted porch tree and call out through the closed window to stop. Rarely does that happen here though, thank goodness, especially now that everyone is “fixed”.
You are lucky about the fixes. Both of those fighting here are fixed. Callie Cat is just a bully.
Dear Jeanne, oh my goodness, that outfit is sooooo cute! Any Little Darling wearing it will look adorable.
Emmie looks so cute, Jeanne. I love the tee as well, especially with the sleeves pushed up. The hat is adorable and really adds to the outfit. I still like the flowered blouse very much also. Fall picnics or pumpkin patch, Emmie is ready.
