Today we are being visited by some sweet little Kitties who live with Laura…
Hi Jeanne,
I thought I’d share my kitties with their Easter and birthday toys. Solo’s birthday is March 31st, so hers actually falls on Easter this year. Doyle’s is April 9th.
First picture is of Truffle because she’s the “sweet candy treat” for every holiday and all times in between!
Next photo is of Solo and the following is of Doyle.
The final one is my very tiny Easter doll scene.
Blessings,
Laura
Thanks Laura, You can certainly tell where your heart lies… kitties and pretty dollies! Have a wonderful Easter with your babies!
I found a few “Kitty pictures” of my own… This is Riley Kish, a little 7 1/2″ doll I sewed for a LONG time ago…my pictures have a date on them of 2007…
Well, everyone seemed to enjoy seeing some Easter dresses of days gone by, so I thought I’d share some more. I’ll share several each day and let my thumb rest some more… Some of them I had completely forgotten about, but they were some of my favorites… see if you can’t guess which ones I liked best! :o)
But first… look what I found… these were Kathie’s dolls dressed for Easter in 2020. Please remember her family this week. It’s going to be hard for them.
Now, you can see what I found in the archives!
Well, that’s probably enough for today… I hope you see something you haven’t seen before… :o)
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Laura, your kitties are pretty spoiled, I’d say! I’m sure they love it, though! We’ve never had cats (allergies) but we have had dogs; however, I never even thought to get Easter treats for them! A couple of times we gave them Christmas presents–wrapped up a package of treats or a new squeaky toy!!
I should know the name of your RRFF doll, but I just can’t think of it at the moment. Her little scene is very charming, and I love her dress.
Jeanne, I don’t think I remember that Riley outfit–must have been right at the beginning of your blog, before I joined.
How nice, that you had a picture of Kathie’s dolls onhand to share. Definitely keeping her family in prayer–those “first” holidays can be so hard.
Now, your Easter parade for today…so many pretty outfits!! I love the pale blue and white one on TenPing; it’s really lovely. Also Isabelle’s (I think) pretty pale pink dress, and then the last outfit you show. They’re all beautiful, though.
Thank you so much, Charlotte! Yes, the kitties are spoiled and rightfully so. We always had dogs as well until 2010 when we lost our Collie Mix. I was very allergic to cats, but Solo is a Siberian and they are hypoallergenic and Doyle was rescued from the backyard with his brother at between two and three weeks. The mother failed to return fast enough for my liking. I did catch her with the other brother and sister about two months later after much effort. Found homes for the others and baby Doyle stayed with me.
My RRFF is renamed as usual, but she was originally Anaelle from back in 2021. I was doing fine without any of them until she came on the scene. The backdrop is a vintage children’s pop-up book, one of a small collection I have and the bunny and carrot are kitty toys I borrowed.
Your kitties are so cute, Laura! Truffle looks a bit like one that I had years ago. And Doyle, well, that’s my last name! Solo looks so soft and cuddly! They certainly are spoiled kitties!
I recognize Anaelle in your Easter scene. What a lovely doll she is!
Kathie’s dolls look so sweet, and I am sure they are missing her loving touch, as well as her family is,…….and us!
More Easter dresses! Jeanne, don’t you feel proud of yourself when you look back at all these beautiful outfits? Each one is prettier than the last! That first dress of Molly’s looks familiar! Could it be made of the same material you just made of Kate’s dress, but of a different color?
Ten Ping looks adorable in her outfit, and Noelle looks like a little angel in her pale pink dress! Those are my favorites of the group!
Thank you so much, Linda! We make a great pair! You do the elaborate seasonal doll scenes and I showcase my kitties with their million toys ( some appropriate for every season/holiday).
There weren’t the variety of seasonal dog toys 15+ years ago, otherwise our dogs would have had more than just seasonal Christmas ones.
Anaelle, made me fall into the Rubies. Her smiling face, lovely blue-green eyes, and tendrils are all to blame. Bonus that she came in a pretty peach outfit to match my painted bedroom furniture. LOL.
I am a kitty person. Laura, your three kitties are so so sweet and beautiful. You captured some wonderful photos of them, they looked very loved. I have two cornish rex kitties, one is older, Miles is 14 I think
Princess is about 6 and she is so fast I think she has 8 legs.
Thank you Jeanne for sharing these sweet picturres and and Laura, I adore the Easter scene too. that is so beautiful. He is Risen indeed!
Jeanne, your abundance of photos are such a delight, like a parade of little pretty girls. I have two daughters. I used to love to dress them up for Easter and one or two years they did have gloves. I had gloves every year when I was a little girl.
I love all of the pictures. All of the dresses are exquisite, the girls do such a terrific modeling
OH! to add, the pink eyelet lace dress makes me gush with sweetness. What a treasure.
Thank you so much, Rosemary! I am both a kitty and dog person. I’ve seen Cornish Rex kitties with their cute curly coats. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing mine as well as the Easter scene. Yes, He is Risen indeed!
Oh, how fun to see Laura’s little cuties. Love those kitties. While at CVS one day picking up some stuff, I actually found the cutest little kitty rabbit peep toys. My first thought was that they would be a good size for dollies, but then I remembered that daughter and grands have two kitties now. They are almost full grown, and they love new toys, so Sunday, I’ll pull out the peeps for them. 🙂 Thanks for the great pics, Laura, including the one of your sweet Ruby Red with the perfect little bunny.
How nice to see the pic of Kathie’s adorable LD’s all dressed for Easter. Definitely thinking of her and family.
I really enjoyed seeing the wonderful last dress for Tonner Patsy with the embroidery on the lace bodice. So special. And I would love to own that pink eyelet number for your LD. It’s adorable.
Hope everyone is getting ready for Easter. Brings back memories of dyeing those eggs with the kids. So fun.
Thank you so much, Joy! Your daughter and grands kitties will love the Peep toys. That’s what the large pink and smaller green and yellow rabbits in the photos are as well. Yes, kitties love new toys!!
The perfect bunny my Ruby Red is holding as well as the carrot are borrowed kitty toys. 🙂
Loved seeing Truffle, Solo and Doyle and their Easter toys! I like the cupcake hanging down in the entrance to the dotted playhouse. Good idea for the kitties to bat. And the pink bunny is so cute. It really looks like one of those rabbit marshmallows. And A Elle is so pretty with her cute bunny. Perfect to have the book, The Rabbit’s Tale, as her background.
How nice to share Kathie’s doll picture. I’m thinking of Kathie’s family and hope all are doing well.
Jeanne, love more pictures of your outfits. The first outfit and Lian’s purple dress are my favorite but really, all your dresses are beautiful in design and creativity. Thanks gir more eye candy!
Thank you so much, Paula! The kitties love those playhouse tents and have quite few that get rotated. There are the matching cupcakes next to Doyle. I think Solo was lying on them as well as the balloon toys in her photo.
I’m glad you enjoyed them and my doll scene. I love those old pop-up children’s books.
Excuse my spelling errors. Anelle and for. I’m always hitting the wrong keys.
And Jeanne, I have to say, when you share the pictures of previous outfits- it really is hard to pick favorites. All the outfits are so unique and special.
I always love seeing Laura’s kitty pictures. So clever and the kitties seem to all love to pose. The picture of Anaelle celebrating the Easter season is so lovely.
Wish Solo a happy birthday for me and Doyle’s birthday is the same as my daughter’s which is coming up soon when I think about it.
I know I’ve been around the blog for awhile and I really haven’t been sleeping through it but I have not seen a lot of these wonderful outfits so I’m enjoying many for the first time. I’ve decided they are all my favorites but I do like the outfit on Molly. Hopefully she is not doing kitchen duty in that lovely outfit. I’m guessing you no longer sew for the Wellies. I love the hairdo on Willa. The pink eyelet dress on Isabelle is absolutely beautiful but on Isabelle anything looks great. What is it about some dolls that they just stand out. They just have a look.
Thanks so much for the lovely picture of Kathie’s dolls at Easter 2020. It’s hard to believe how some people that you have never met in person become such a part of your life as if you see them in person every day and miss them so much when they are gone. I have a friend in Scotland I feel that way about. We “met” years ago when our daughters were pen pals. I was learning Scots Gaelic and wanted a pen pal myself who spoke the language. I was unsuccessful in finding anyone because a lot of Scots Gaelic speakers cannot read or write the language because for years it was forbidden in schools but still spoken at home. But Andrea put an ad in the Stornoway newspaper (Western Isle of Lewis) and Fiona answered and through her I met her mother. The girls eventually got busy with other things but Christina and I have been keeping in contact for years – since the girls were in elementary and they are in their 40s now. We are about the same age and she has had some health issues recently so I do worry about her. I would miss her terribly if she weren’t around to keep in touch with. We’ve become like very close sisters. I will definitely be praying for Kathie’s family.
I’ve got half my dolly girls ready for Easter. Hopefully the rest will be dressed for the Easter parade by the end of today. My Meadow Lolla will be wearing a Jeanne Marie original.
Thank you so much, Barbara! I wondered if everyone enjoyed my kitties photos as they are not dolls, but they are my “dolls”. Very happy to hear that is indeed the case. I will certainly wish them both a happy birthday from you!
I’m glad you enjoyed my tiny doll scene. I’m looking forward to seeing your dolls. My plans each year of dressing everyone with props never happens. Oh well, one is just fine.
Thank you for showing my pictures, Jeanne. I’m very happy to see everyone enjoys seeing my kitty photos as kitty scenes seem to be more my specialty.
Love the kitty dress on Riley! So sweet to see Kathie’s dolls again. I remember that photo and I loved the blue dress and bonnet on the doll at the front as well as the smocked one. Will certainly be remember and praying for her family.
well, I have been here since the late fall of 2014 and there are a few dresses I don’t recognize. The pink eyelet on Isabelle is so pretty. I don’t remember the yellow flowered one on Molly, Riley’s kitty dress ( I wouldn’t forget that) or the blue one on the little dark haired doll.
