~ VICTORIAN SPRING ~for American Girl dolls, is now listed on Ebay…

Hi everyone,
I was determined to get Lea’s dress set listed on Ebay and when my hubby said he had to go work at the church, I skedaddled (sp?) back to the computer and got it done! But first I wanted to go outside and take some fun pictures. It was a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L day but a bit windy. Yep, I almost had another catastrophe with Lea blowing over! I caught her by her braid…yikes!

Anyway, I picked out a few pictures to share with you… and of course the link to her auction. You can click on her picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.

Being outside, still didn’t show the fabric as minty green, but I’m just giving up on this color… My phone just will not capture it. Oh well, it’s still very pretty in the pictures.

I roamed all over my yard trying to find the perfect spot, without too much wind and showcase the dress!

I went to the gazebo…

…by the gnarly tree trunk… (that’s where I almost lost her!)

…just off the porch…

…out by the chickens…

…beside the shed…

…out by the lillies…

…and of course, by the fountain…

I hope you’ll take a peek at her dress on Ebay…there are more pictures there!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Lea’s dress is just lovely, and you got some very good pictures, Jeanne! I know some dolly would love to have this!

Well, dolly fever will have to wait. I ordered Alice (RRFF Siblie) but it turns out she really was sold out (in which case, why did the system let me order her?!). Oh, well, there will be another doll one of these days. I’m not super crushed or anything. She is pretty cute, but RRFF seems to be bringing out lots more dolls than they did a couple of years ago, so, when the time is right, I will find another one to love. (It’s not like I don’t have any dolls! LOL)

Another “lovely dress” comment, Jeanne! That’s the word I thought of immediately, and then when i read what Charlotte wrote, she too, mentioned the word “lovely”! Well, it is, and you also have a lovely model for it! Lea has beautiful coloring, not too washed out, or too dark.

The outfoor pictures are beautiful, but I don’t know how you managed to keep her from falling more than you did. it was terribly windy here, which made doing anything outside a challenge.

So to summarize, this lovely dress is not too much and not too little, it is “just right”!

Wonderful outdoor photos. I think my favorite is the one by the shed with the ferns, but all of the by the fountain pics are great as well. Lea looks wonderful. Any chance that you will be able to pick up a pump and get that fountain back to producing flowing water and musical water drops? It would be spectacular. 🙂
I see that the lovely “Victorian Spring” dress already has bids. Good for you Jeanne, and I’m glad you had a lovely day for photos.

    1. Jeanne, this dress just speaks a lovely sweet dress, very feminine for a young girl. Love the material pattern with the pink trim and her ruffled slip.
Your pictures of Lea posing outside are great too! They really look natural.

  4. Congrats on getting the dress listed! And two bids already. Some very pretty pics and the one I love the most is the one that shows the back open with the ruffled slip partially exposed, can you tell I absolutely adore this slip. Only problem, not enough full length photos!
    Have a good day all.

I’ve been missing for a few days due to more computer issues. Finally decided to fire up the laptop but I don’t really like typing on it. Don’t use it enough to get an auxiliary keyboard. I will be setting up an appointment with Geek Squad for tomorrow hopefully, but I think it will have to be hospitalized. It’s really bad this time.

I do love the dress with the smaller bows and the idea of making them optional is great. I just bought this pattern in the RRFF size and can’t wait to make it. My to-do list is decreasing and soon I will be able to return to creative pursuits. The village was disassembled yesterday and the tree will be undecorated today. I tried for before Easter and that didn’t work so I was determined it should be done at least before Memorial Day. But I’m still having to remind the guys to stop putting their tools, etc., in front of my Christmas decorating storage aisle.

I love Lea’s hairdo. This is such a lovely spring dress and the slip is amazing.

So glad Linda and Karen are safe. We had a storm early this morning but thankfully it didn’t come with wind.

Hope you have success getting your computer fixed. Such a pain.
I didn’t realize that the pattern came in RRFF size as well. Would love to see the dress when you make it. 🙂

  6. Very strange my comments posted yesterday with a different quilt square. Anyway, that’s exactly what I meant about the bows. I like them a lot and they really add something to the dress. I like doll clothes with ruffles, bows, lace, frills.
Lea looks sweet and I see your ferns are coming up. Mine are as well. I love ferns and have them with woodland poppy, Virginia bluebells, and pulmonaria. I love that it has rose and cobalt blooms.
I also said I was glad Linda and Karen were safe from harm.

Glad you were able to include outdoor photos and my favorite is the ones with the ferns too.( I’m going out to see if mine are up😳 She is adorable in that dress and the ribbons look just right. Congratulations on getting bids already too!
