Ruby Red Galleria’s Ten Ping has a new dress… AND jacket…

I put the pedal to the metal today and actually have something nice to show you… Ten Ping totally cooperated and tried this on many times to get it just right…

The dress is just a simple little girls style with a full skirt, perfectly fitting arm hole openings and snaps down the back to the hem, for easy dressing.

I made the dress sleeveless so the jacket would slide on easily.

I had the exact amount of ivory vintage lace that Kathie had sent me and used it along the bottom of the dress. It’s very delicate looking and goes wonderfully with the look of the dress so far…

I didn’t want the winner to be fussing with a necklace, but I still wanted Ten Ping to have a little bling for this set, so I added a string of pearls that are actually sewn into the shoulders so they’re always on the dress… no tiny clasps to fiddle with, and no need to worry about losing it!

I looked at all my pinkish felts and this one was my favorite…it’s kind of a verigated or blending of colors. The jacket is scalloped along the edges (with my new scissors) and I’ve added 3 pearl buttons and a little creamy white flowery pin…

I cut the neckline of the jacket slightly different this time… opening up the neck area, so the necklace could be seen.

Ten Ping looks pretty cute in these colors and now I just have to finish the rest of the pieces… but here are a few more pictures…

Now, here is today’s Clue #2 for her accessory!

:o)

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Jeanne, I don’t think I have seen a cuter outfit on Ten Ping! While the dress itself is a simple little dress, that beautiful lace makes it look like one in a million! The necklace adds a bit of ‘fanciness” to it and that jacket is the perfect accessory with the perky flower and pretty scallops! I love it!

Oh, now I see what that accessoriy might be, one that says Baaa!

    1. Hi Linda,
Yep… you may have guessed my surprise accessory…
Wait till you see the set tomorrow!
Thanks so much for your compliments….

I just love this outfit, Jeanne; the lace is perfect–in both scale and design–and the necklace really dresses up the outfit! I love her jacket, too. At first I thought the flower might be a bit big for her, but I have decided I like it that way–the flower itself just lays and falls so nicely from where it’s attached. And, after all, if you’ve ever seen fashions with fabric flowers on them, often the flowers are oversized, to make a statement!

Yes, definitely something that says “Baa”!! I think TenPing is going to have a Lambie-Pie (that’s what I called my stuffed lamb when I was a little girl).

    1. Hi Charlotte
Well, I guess clue number 2 gave it completely away!!
Thank you, too, for your kind words about Ten Ping’s set.
      Blessings , Jeanne

  3. So sweet. To inspire those who have a mini Sara, showing Ten Ping in a blonde wig might be a sales booster.

    1. Hi Dorothy
I don’t think I have a blonde wig that tiny, but I’ll check and see…
      Thank you so much.

Ten Ping is definitely a pink girl. The accessories are cute too. Well, today there are two lamb hoofs. So, guess that Jeanne is making a two legged lamb? Ha ha.

    1. Hi Joy,
I think 2 hooves gave my surprise away… tomorrow I’ll let the “lamb” out of the baaa g! :o)
      Thank you,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. The scalloped edges on the jacket make it really cute. The pearl necklace is perfect. Can’t wait to see her sweet little lamb.

What a sweet little outfit for sweet little girls. I think this would look adorable on Mini Sara. I like the idea of the pretty pearl necklace being sewn to the dress, especially something so small. And the lace is really special. Really pretty pink jacket. Where did you get the scalloped scissors? I’ve seen scissors with different edges for scrapbooking but they didn’t look like they would work on fabric. I’ll go with the pet lamb theme.

Charlotte’s comment about what she used to call her stuffed (I’m assuming) lamb reminded me of my friend who when we played dolls would bring a stuffed animal named Elsie Fence. One day i finally asked her why she named it that. Her stuffed animal was an elephant and was named after what she used to call them when she was little. Which reminds me of a story from when my daughter was learning to talk. She kept saying something about a mouk. Finally it dawned on us that she was trying to say mouse. We decided we needed to help her say it right so we said it was mou-sss. It came back at us as mou-k-sss. But she was getting close. But it’s also what she called squirrels. One day she was yelling a mouk, a mouk. Oh great we had a mouse in the house. No. Thankfully it was just a squirrel on the power line.

    1. Hi Barbara,
I know you asked about the scalloped scissors right after I got them… I checked with the seller and he wasnt selling them anymore… but I’m keeping my eyes open looking for some for you. They will advertise they can cut through leather… they aren’t paper scissors.

      1. Hi again Barbara,
I think Ten Ping looks so sweet in this set too…hopefully Sara will too…
        Thanks so much

That lace is really lovely. So is the perfect pink felt. The blond wig is worth considering — unless mini-Sara is about to show up at your house soon.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
I think I’m just going to stick with Ten Ping… but it will be fun to see my things on little blonde Sara.
I’ll have to look for a blonde wig…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. This is happening so quickly… I just had time to look at your post. This combo is so lovely..pink and white…it can’t be beat. That lace does go with it really well! Lucky there was enough😉

    1. Hi Kathie,
There was exactly the amount of lace as the hem of her skirt. I didn’t have to trim off a single bit. I love the lace…
      I just finished everything…
      Blessings. Jeanne
