Vote for your favorite Doll Outfit of 2022!

Today is the day you can vote for your favorite outfit of 2022! Actually you can vote for your favorite TWO outfits! I’ll show you ALL of the dresses/outfits I made in 2022, in this one post, and you can pick your favorite 2, and let me know in the comments or hit the “Contact Me” tab at the top of my blog post and email me with your choices. A few ladies have already left me their choices… This is going to be fun… but HARD… I don’t even know which one’s I WOULD CHOOSE! Yikes! I’ll post the doll wearing the WINNING outfit on Saturday!

Okay, let’s get started… I think everything has a name, but you can describe it if it doesn’t…

This is Lian in her Gray Furry Coat… it started off my year!

Chrissa loved her Winter Wonder Snow Leopard Coat!

Frieda modeled Valentine Surprise VERY well!

Next Frieda got another turn modeling… this time “Almost Spring!

Ten Ping looked wonderful in Valentine Sparkle!

Here is Kirsten in Swedish Sweetness!

Noel loved “Little Touches” and didn’t want to give this one up!

This is Nyssa in Springtime Charm! I LOVED making this one…

Molly modeled “Cherries ‘n Checks” so sweetly!

This is tiny 6″ Bailey in “Beautiful in Blue!”

Rozen found her favorite color in this dress set! I called it “Springtime Sweetness!”

It was Seventies Style for Julie with this dress set!

Rozen was given another turn to model… this time in “Touch of Teal!”

Stella is wearing “Almost Summer!” these just might be my favorite shoes I have made!

Rebecca was chosen to model “Watercolor Regency”..and she did a wonderful job!

Ten Ping got us all the way to May in “The Littlest Patriot!”

Ten Ping looked so cute in “Time to Play!” It was a fun batik print fabric and Ten Ping enjoyed the outside pictures the most.

“Fireworks Frenzy” was my top sale of the year… It looked SO pretty on Lian!

My new Sydney Siblie wore “Monkey Business” very well. I loved making the flip flops for this set!

“Summer Fun in 1864” was a very pretty Civil War dress modeled by my pretty Rebecca doll. I LOVED the lace at the hem… thank you again Kathie! :o)

“Camo and the Camera” had a little bit of controversy over the fabric and thinking it represented war, but I had a different idea and that was for Stella to be shooting her camera in the outdoors!

I got on a kick of trying to perfect my romper pattern, so I did another one and this time Freida modeled a batik print and looked wonderful in my outside pictures.

One more romper…this time modeled by Rozen… She got a pair of leather boots and a book bag…

Samantha had fun getting to show off in “Victorian Times!” It started off as a 70’s dress and ended up being a Turn of the Century” dress. She looked so pretty in it!

My daughter, Rebecca, had an idea for Violette’s debut dress. She thought of an outfit, described it to me, I sketched it out and brought it to life. It was very popular on Ebay and was my second highest sale of the year. I called it “School Girl Charm.”

Violette was still new to me, so she got the next outfit too… It was a sweet Fall outfit called, “Oh, Oh, October” and had lots of mix and match pieces!

“Fall Fever” was very pretty on Addy. She looked very pretty with her hair let down and braided.

Molly looked very pretty in “The Perfect Christmas Dress.” This is my all-time favorite red plaid fabric!

Ten Ping got to model again… this time in “Christmas Berries.” I loved how the winter white wool jacket turned out with the beaded embroidery I did.

Addy’s “Civil War Christmas” was another dress set that challenged me. I had never made mittens before and so the challenge was on… and they even had velcro on the thumbs to hold her sheet music!

The last outfit of the year was once again modeled by Violette. It was called “Perfectly Purple Christmas Coat” and Violette looked great in it.

Thanks everyone,
I hope you are staying as warm as possible… We are in the deep freeze right now… 3 degrees with a wind chill of -20 degrees! We didn’t get much snow, but that wind is brutal!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Mmm…so difficult! I think I’ll vote for two I actually did Not buy–Lian’s gray fur coat and Molly’s Perfect Christmas Dress. (I did buy two of Ten Ping’s outfits–yes, she is spoiled!)

  2. Linda in St. Louis

Jeanne, as you know, I did mail in my favorites to you last night. I don’t want to influence anyone, so just kept it between you and me! I will say, that I did not consider any of the RRFF dolls, since i don’t have any, and will leave those to the ones who do have them. However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t care for those outfits, they are wonderful!! Actually, today, if I voted again, it would probably a different pair of dresses! There is just no way to whittle things down to two!

Oh, gosh, it is -11 out and wind chills of -24 now! The snow wasn’t the bad thing, it is the wind! A lot of snow has blown away, and our driveway has mostly cleared off just by the wind. I am staying in today! Since I am so busy with Christmas preparations, I totally thought yesterday was Friday, so yay, it is like getting an extra day to do things!

  3. My first vote goes to “Noel – Little Touches” and my second vote goes to “Addy’s – Civil War Christmas”. It was hard to just choose two. They all are wonderful.

  4. Doreen J Crabtree

My votes are for Chrissa-Winter Wonder Snow Leopard Coat and Samantha-Victorian Times.
While looking at all these different outfits and dolls dressed so beautifully, I must thank you, Jeanne, for bringing so much beauty and fun into all our lives.
Merry Christmas to all, Doreen from Arkansas

  5. Karen from Kentucky

Marion’s favorites are 1. Winter Wonder Snow Leopard Coat. 2. Civil War Christmas. Mine are 1. Summer Fun in 1864. 2. Swedish Sweetness. 3.Springtime Sweetness

  6. Ingrid B in Western N Y

    Hi Jeanne,
Happy Friday! I’m very happy to read you had a day of rest/do what you wanted, everyone needs a day like that from time to time. Much needed when burning the candle at both ends. So glad to hear you took the time. I’m so very sorry for your pastor and his boys and also for you and everyone who is grieving the loss of such a dear woman. May our precious Lord comfort and remember 2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Looking back at this years dresses I was surprised to see only one My Meadow Dumplings outfit and eleven RRFF outfits… I know the RRFF are popular right now and I’m sure they bring in more revenue so it’s understandable.
It was extremely difficult to pick just two outfits. But here goes…. My first pick is “Civil War Christmas”. My second choice is “School Girl Charm”

Wishing all the SS a blessed Christmas … if you are in the storms way please stay safe and warm!
    Hugs
    Ingrid

    1. Thank you, Ingrid! I hope you have a very Blessed Christmas. Stay warm and cuddle your sweet kitty girl.

  7. Joy in northern CA

    Molly’s Cherries n Check’s is #1 and Civil War Christmas #2.
Hope everyone is staying warm in the cold zones.

  8. This was a bit hard!!!! I choose at least 5 as my favorites. However, I must go with
Molly’s Perfect Christmas Dress and Cherries and Checks.

  9. Barbara in SE Texas

I can’t beat Jeanne for the low temperature of the day but for southeast Texas it’s a cold day. It’s 21 degrees at almost 11 a.m. I don’t know the windchill but it’s been blowing furiously. It’s slowed down some though, but it blew one of my strings of Christmas lights loose shortly after the front came through. I need Jason to fix it but don’t have the heart to ask him until it warms up at least some, especially since that side of the house is still in the shade.

My favorites changed continually as I went down the list. I think I settled on “Civil War Christmas” and “Victorian Times” but it sure wasn’t easy.

Thanks, Karen, for sending the picture of Marion’s project. Great job Marion! And what a cute picture of the oldest and youngest sisters. Adorable!

Granddaughter Jaiden spent the last two days with me while I worked on her Christmas dress. I downloaded the pattern from “Violette Field Threads”. They have what is called “tween” patterns. Great styles for girls who are past the little girl clothing style stage and not yet into the styles for young women. I picked a pattern I could make with my serger so I’d get beyond the intimidation phase. I will be using the coverlock feature to do the bottom hem today. The fabric is a lightweight knit with gold speckles throughout. She loved it. The dress is very simple. Since Sean is not here today I will have to bring it to church tomorrow for her to change into. All during the cutting out (both pattern and fabric) phase Jaiden helped me where she could. Then she was taking the scraps of fabric and fashioning hair and wrist adornments. She’s got a great imagination. I love the Violette Field tween patterns but sadly my 11 year old granddaughter is in the largest size they make already. I made her the size 16 but thought I might have to use a smaller size for the length. Wrong! She has amazingly long thighs. I can only dream.

Well I’ve still got some more wrapping to do and I need to finish her dress today so I will bid adieu. Can’t wait to see the results of the voting.

    1. Charlotte Trayer

Barbara, I loved reading about your sewing for your granddaughter; when our LIly was younger, I made quite a few things for her, too, although she was 2000 miles away! I’d ask her mom what size and went from there. I also had labels made that said “Made especially for you by Grandma Trayer”, which I sewed in/on anything I made for the grands. Sarah told me that, when Lily was still pretty young, any time someone complimented her on something I made that she was wearing, she would proudly show that person the label and say, “My grandma made this for me!” So cute…

  10. Bitterly cold here. We’re at negative -4 and dropping with high winds and I have to keep a sharp eye on the outdoor kitty food and bird seed situation.

My choices are Civil War Christmas and Swedish Sweetness. Honorable mention to
    Summer Fun in 1864.
The Civil War Christmas fabric was lovely and I was able to snag two yards of it from JoAnn.

  11. Ten Ping’s Time to Play and Fashion Friends School Girl Charm. So many lovely outfits and looking forward to more Jeanne eye-candy in 2023. Happy Holidays to all!

  12. Linda G from below zero MN

All are delightful, but my favorites are Molly in “Cherries and Checks” and Addy in “Civil War Christmas”
To Jeanne and all the Sofa Sister, May you have a blessed Christmas. Enjoy your family and friends… and dolls!

  13. I sent my votes to Jeanne because I didn’t want to see what everyone else chose😉
I came back later to see what was happening. It was fun to read the choices. Tomorrow will be a surprise. It is hard to choose which is a compliment to Jeanne’s talents.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas Eve.

  14. Hi All! My favorites are Addy’s “Civil War Christmas” dress and Molly’s “The Perfect Christmas Dress.” Oh, but then, I really love Rebecca’s “Summer Fun in 1864.” Can we count that one too?!!

    Thanks, Priscilla
