~ Summertime Sweetness ~ for Ruby Red Fashion Friends, is now listed on Ebay…

I had a nice time taking some outdoor pictures of Rozen as she decorated her family gazebo… you’ll have to check out the story on Ebay…
You can see it by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.

Here’s one shot of Rozen decorating and making friends with the red birds…

Have a wonderful Saturday… I think I’m “helping” my hubby paint the shed with redwood stain…we last painted it 4 years ago so it’s a bit overdue… and looking tired…

See you Monday,
Blessings, Jeanne

Rozen’s outfit is just darling, Jeanne, and it looks like she’s having fun decorating the gazebo! I wonder if red is her favorite color?

No sewing today, just errands and some food prep. Tomorrow I have to make Copper Pennies to take to the church picnic on Sunday. Usually we have it at the home of one of the members, but since the 4th falls on a Sunday this year, we’ll have it at the church following our worship service. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided, and people bring other things to pass. We should be in the high 70s, with sunshine–sounds like perfect weather to me!

Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th, celebrating in whatever way you prefer (those of you who do recognize it as a holiday).

    1. Thank you Charlotte,
She DID have fun decorating the gazebo…AND I HELPED!! :o)
My mom used to make Copper Pennies too…I have that recipe…
      I hope you have a wonderful 4th tomorrow too…
      Thanks Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

The outdoor picture really works — I’m glad the weather let you take the pictures. The gazebo was a great idea that really works for the Fourth.

Something similar with a red tee, knee socks, and some of your boots might work for fall.

We are having some of the best weather in the country, and even so, the lawns are drying up. However, if I do it early enough, I can walk around the block, which gives me a hill to walk up and down. I do use a walker, which is ok because it tells people not to run into me. The trick is to find the time that is not too hot and mosquito-free. I keep reminding myself that while most things are difficult, a lot of things are not impossible.

    1. Hi Marilyn
We had a beautiful day here today…we started early and got the shed stained..
We last did it 4 years ago and it was needed…

I was thinking of putting some boots with the romper, but decided on the flip flops…I might try your idea for the Fall…I like that idea.. I think it would be cute in corduroy too…

I’m glad you are able to be up and about…even with a walker…and walking around the block must be good exercise. But probably exhausting… please take care of yourself…and have a happy 4th of July tomorrow…
      Blessings, Jeanne

Love how you tied in the 4th as a holiday just past and decorating for the family reunion. Cute little red birds too. The outfit is a fun one and will be perfect for the rest of the summer and into the fall as well.
Sounds like the weather is cooperating with both Charlotte and Marilyn. Good to hear.
I somehow have about four outfits for the RRFF kids in different stages all piled up waiting to be finished. Haven’t had much time to work on them, so the dollies will have to celebrate a late July 4th. Hope they don’t mind. 🙂
We’ll be barbequing a tri-tip tomorrow, but no other big plans. 🙂

    1. Thanks Joy
Your little note to me made me rethink the 4th of July listing… it wasn’t going to work for the 4th, so I decided to make use of the “leftover” 4th of July decorations and go with it…

Hope you find some sewing time for your RRFF dolls and I’m sure your girls won’t mind if they get their outfits late… someone from the dolly shelf just said out loud so I could hear it…,”Better late than never!” :o)
      Have a nice 4th Joy
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. So darling! Protos are the most difficult and rewarding pieces we create. Love the way you have engineered the bib front. ❤️The blouse bodysuit is perfect.. gorgeous fabric .. and her flip flops are so fun. I’m glad that the RRFF have toes that are able to wear them:)
Know you will get some high bids for this one!
    Happy Independence Day!🇺🇸

    1. Thank you Shara,
I am fighting the urge to cut another romper out and see if I tweaked it in all the right places…
Thank you for all the kind things you said about this set, Shara… that really blesses me…
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, yourself!
      Blessings, Jeanne

Great pictures! Give Rozen a high-five from me for doing such a fine job of decorating the gazebo in preparation for the family reunion. Such a cute outfit and Rozen models it so well. My granddaughter had a similar romper a few years ago and since the legs were wide and she didn’t always sit like a lady, her mom had her wear leggings with it. It really looked cute and she could wear her romper for a longer time.

We are going to Sean and family’s for dinner and to celebrate July 4th tomorrow evening. They live in Harris County (versus being in a city) and can legally do sparklers and things. Should be fun and they’re cooking steaks which Sean puts in a yummy marinade. Can’t wait. I’ll be bringing sides – from our local BBQ joint. They are delicious and it will save me a lot of time since I’m still in the midst of mass reorganization efforts. Every time I think I’ve cleaned out the last corner I find another one needing my attention.

I’m off to try to do something about the weeds and grass in my front garden. Everything in it froze to death this winter and come spring the weeds and grass took over. In the past if things have gotten out of control there was always someone to stop by and ask if I would like them to clean it up – for a fee of course. Sadly I’ve had no offers this time so I’m on my own. Can’t wait any longer.

    1. Thank you Barbara, for your sweet compliments on Rozen’s outfit and on her decorating skills..
I think a romper for the Fall would be nice… I’m already thinking of one… :o)

I hope you have a nice time “not cooking” but just enjoying the day… and keep on organizing…soon you’ll be done and it will be glorious!!

Hope the wedding wasn’t too bad…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Linda in St. Louis

Rozen looks like Little Miss Summertime, Jeanne! What a cute idea for her to trim a gazebo! She did a great job, and YOU did wonderful job with her romper! She looks so comfy and cool with her straw hat and sandals too! Maybe she is excited about ice cream treats when her company arrives to spend the 4th, and for sure to see fireworks at the local fireworks show. At any rate, Rozen will steal the show with her cute outfit!

Happy 4th to all the wonderful sofa sisters! It’s a beautiful day here in St. Louis!

    1. Hi Linda
I like that name…”Little Miss Summertime!”
Awww…thanks for your nice compliments…I just loved making this set for Rozen…part of it was getting the pattern pieces figured out and then seeing it look so cute on her boosted my confidence to try more patterns…

It was very pretty here too… we stained the shed, which was a lot of work, but we had a nice breeze…
      Have a nice day tomorrow
      Blessings, Jeanne

Dear Jeanne, happy 4th of July to you and the Sofa Sisters!

Rozen looks adorable. I think she is going to be one of your top models for sure. You will probably have to double her cookie allowance (laugh).

    1. Hi Dorothy
Happy 4th of July to you too!

I think Rozen is DEFINITELY going to be one of my top models… oh and she can have ALL the cookies she wants!!
      Thanks Dorothy
      Blessings, Jeanne
