I’m having trouble with my satellite staying on… I think it’s TOO COLD… so I keep losing connection…but I’m hurrying as fast as I can to let you know Elizabeth’s dress is now listed on Ebay… You can see it by clicking her picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE…
Here are a few pictures… if I can get them on quickly…
Stay warm wherever you are!
See you tomorrow, if I’m not frozen out…
Blessings, Jeanne
Everything about the outfit is just lovely, Jeanne. I like the big bow in her hair, too. Very appropriate, and looks lovely with the outfit.
We actually had some SNOW this evening!! Barely enough to make the ground sort-of white, but I understand more snow is on the way tomorrow night. We have heard that story before, so we shall see what happens!! Normally I welcome snow, but our church is having a Valentine lunch Saturday, so if we get more snow, that may have to be postponed. People in the Seattle area are positive WIMPS when it comes to a little snow on the ground!! LOL (So says the transplanted Michigander…) I have to say, though, we don’t have the equipment out here to handle big snowfalls, and there are lots of LONG and very STEEP hills out here, which become positively treacherous with a little snow on them. One winter a bus “driving” (sliding) down a Seattle hill almost landed on the freeway several feet below, when it overshot the guardrail! They had to close a couple lanes of I-5 until it could be towed off the ledge.
A friend who moved to Seattle said she saw a sign there that said, “Hill.”
When she got to the top, where the sign was and looked down, she decided that the sign was there so the slope wouldn’t be mistaken for a cliff. Not good for snow and ice.
That’s about how some of the hills are around here, Marilyn!! Not all of them, and not right where we live, thank goodness!
It’s snowing tonight, and we have a little over an inch so far. We’re just north of Seattle; down around Tacoma they have a fair bit more!
Elizabeth is stunning in her new outfit, Jeanne. You continue to amaze me with your beautiful creations.
Blessings.
Gorgeous! I love the bows that are on the bodice so much prettier than the medallion. The elbow gloves just make the outfit. This should sell quickly.
Charlotte we got three quick snowstorms in the last week but nothing to get excited about. I live on the east coast at the shore so we don’t get much at all. I am use to real storms…10″ would be nothing but people here go into a state of panic….hoarding groceries like we were going to be housebound for a month. lol
I hear you about the internet as I have been battling with Verizon for months and they can’t seem to find the issue. I really didn’t want to use them but the complex I moved into this is who they use. It is constantly going offline or endlessly buffering. I called again but of course when you do you get connected to somebody in India even though you chose English as your language…go figure.
Sorry about your connection difficulties. I get bumped off here a lot too. Hopefully, it will get back to normal soon.
I think the last photo says it all. Great view of all of the parts that make the outfit. Love how you have styled Elizabeth’s hair too. Here if a comb can straighten out something, that’s about it. Definitely need dolly hair lessons. 🙂
Sun is out here this morning so looks like the few sprinkles we received are gone for now. Hoping for more rain soon.
Elizabeth looks just lovely in this beautiful outfit. Her accessories are perfect with her dress.
So, Elizabeth was dreaming! Cute story.
Great design and accessories Jeanne!
Foggy and a light rain outside. Charlotte, I can understand what you’re saying about the hills and snow where you live – definitely treacherous on the roads.
Everyone experiencing snow and cold weather, keep warm inside.
This outfit turned out so pretty and delicate, Jeanne! I love, love, love everything about it! No complaints from me! The bow is just gorgeous and exactly what she needed to show off her beautiful hair! The pretty ribbons along the sides and white gloves are the perfect touch, not to mention the lovely pearl necklace!
As I write this, the sun has come out and seeing Elizabeth in that beautiful dress, just makes it sparkle! She will be the belle of the ball, no doubt!
We have underground cables for our internet connection, so no problems with anything the weather throws at use. Before, we had a dish, and that was very unsettling with the weather. Any little thing, it went off on us. Underground is much better!
That is such a beautiful dress and accessories. So “ Jeanne Marie”. Everything about it is outstanding.
So Charlotte… how is your foot? Hope not as bad as you first thought 😳
This is the coldest winter we have had in a long time. Jan was good most of the time then we got that foot of snow and it has been cold… like zero and below the last week and all of next. The high Sunday is to be below zero😧🥶
Give your Valentines a hug!
Definitely a Winter’s Dream of an outfit. I really like the simplicity of the hairbow. Elizabeth’s hair is so beautiful. I love it down and flowing. Can’t wait to see who and what is next.
It’s 33 here in Sealy, TX, right now with a high expected of 43. We are supposed to be in line for the snow coming in from the west. I couldn’t catch exactly which day. If that happens it will be the second time my grandkids have seen snow in the Houston area in the past two years. It never snowed here while my children were growing up but we went to David’s parents in Kansas one year for Thanksgiving and it snowed. The next year we went to my mother’s in Delaware for Thanksgiving and it snowed. That and our summer trips to the higher elevations of Colorado at least showed the kids that snow was real.
Another gorgeous creation and it’s not even halfway through February yet. so it will be a piece of cake to make the third outfit of the month. Elizabeth look so fresh and springlike on this snowy winter day. The ribbons down the front, the classic pearl necklace, and the big hair bow are just the perfect touches the dress needed. Actually, today is a bit better than it has been as we are having a heatwave of 33 degrees, but we’ll be back in the teens this weekend.
I do have a quick question as I love her gloves. How do you finish the raw upper edge? I don’t know how you’d sew in such a tiny circle and then turn it.
I think Elizabeth looks lovely in her pretty dress. I am sure it will sell well.
I found lacy stretch gloves in the party section of our equivalent of your dollar store (except they cost more than a dollar lol). I managed to get a long pair which made two pair of lacy tights. They also had shorter gloves.
We have underground cable here so rarely have a problem except in some of the more out of the way areas. When I went to the Sounds (Marlborough Sounds) a few years back with Sam and the family for a holiday there was no signal. No phone, no internet. The friend of Sam’s husband, Bruce who co owns the place with his cousin, has moved out there permanently and a year or so back he fell and broke his ankle. He managed to drag himself to the car and had to drive 40kms on a winding road with a broken ankle to get it treated.
I find it funny that you girls are complaining about problems. Most New Zealanders think we are way behind the rest of the world and we are the only ones who have problems with the internet on the few occasions it happens. When it does it makes National news lol.
As for snow, as I said before we only get it occasionally in Christchurch. When it does snow all the schools close, very frustrating if the sun comes out at 9 am and it all disappears which has happened. If they closed the schools in Dunedin which is 5 hours south from here the children would never be in school in winter as it snows a lot, further south. Auckland on the north of the North Island (the early pioneers weren’t very imaginative with their names for everything, I bet we will end up using the Maori name for the islands soon) never gets snow. However, one year they did get something that felt like snow but the meteorological service had to check it and confirm it was indeed snow! They got very excited! Lol
It is 7.48 am on Saturday here and it is 16C we are only expecting a high of 19C so fairly cool today, it is the wind that is cool so if the sun comes out and you can get out of the wind it is still pleasant. Canterbury is the flattest area of the country so there is no hills to protect us from the wind whatever direction it comes from.
I just checked out Freebie Friday on Pixie Faire. The Daddy’s Date Night pattern is great and has lots of accessory items to print off even if you don’t want the dress pattern. Can’t go wrong with free!
It’s 65 degrees now where I live in Garden Grove, Southern California, ten miles back from the ocean, and 50 at night, and on average the same for the foreseeable future. In checking Weatherbug, I see a winter storm warning for Carbondale! Stay home and warm, Jeanne.
The dress is beautiful and the accessories complete. Great start to this year. Happy Chinese New Year 🧧!
Dear Jeanne, the dress is definitely dreamy. I think that Jane Austen would be envious.
It’s cold here with more snow on the horizon.
I wanted to let the Sofa Sisters know that the United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC) is having a Valentine’s Day program tomorrow, Saturday. It’s free and will be streaming on its (Website, Youtube, Facebook). It is entitled: Our Love of Dolls.
The seminars will be archived so if you can’t watch tomorrow, you can still see them. Our international Sisters will be able to watch also.
Among the programs are seminars on wax dolls, wooden dolls, and BJDs. I can’t wait.
We’re sharing weather with Anne in NZ — 16 today, 12 tomorrow, and 4 on Sunday. It’s currently snowing.
Elizabeth looks wonderful in her new outfit, proving once again that she’s one of AG’s prettiest. There’s a rumor on AGPT that #4 is going to be re-released. That will be a nice challenge for you.
