*CORRECTION*
Paula left a comment and said she’d like to wait and see the dresses tomorrow before picking her top dress. I had thought and thought and figured and figured and I still goofed. :o( If everyone picks a dress Today (Friday) and then one tomorrow (Saturday) and I post the winner on Sunday, that would mean TWO dresses won… So everyone go ahead and pick your favorite dress FRIDAY and then pick your favorite dress Saturday. I will then post those TWO top dresses on Sunday and you’ll have to vote for one of the two dresses for the TOP DRESS! I thought I had it all worked but apparently I didn’t. Sorry about that. I’ve changed the wording below to go along with this correction.
I thought it might be fun to look back at the dresses I made this past year and see which ones you liked the best? We’ll narrow it down and see which dress gets top honors! :o)
* I’ll show you half today and half Saturday, and then on “Sunday” I’ll give you the results of the TOP TWO dresses. I usually don’t do a post on Sunday but on that day, you’ll be able to pick your favorite dress from the 2 that received the most votes. THAT will be the top winner! On Monday I’ll let you know the winner of the Favorite dress of 2019! You can either let me know in the comments below or you can hit the “Contact Me” tab just under my name banner and let me know through email.*
I’ll keep checking and keep a total of which dresses are the most popular. I made 35 dresses this year… which isn’t “too” shabby considering the way my year went… I’m happy with that number! Sewing isn’t my “job”…it’s my heart’s desire. I do love to sew but the way my thumb and wrist are now, I’m wondering “when” I’ll get back to it.
In the meantime, look at the dresses below and let me know your favorite. Then do the same thing tomorrow! :o)
One way to do this is to go through the pictures and say, “Yep, Yep, nope, yep, nope” and see which ones you like best and which ones you can eliminate. Then go back and narrow down your “yep” votes to one favorite dress!
Another way is to ask yourself, “If I could have one of these dresses, which one would I pick?”
It won’t be easy… I can tell you now!
First up is Addy in “Cookies From Addy.”
The next dress I made was Valentine Surprise for the Little Darlings. Isabelle was my model.
Next dress is Molly in “Pink Blush.”
The next dress I made was for Nyssa. I called it “Blissful in Blue.”
Caroline looked pretty sweet in her Romantic Regency dress…
Samantha and Nellie shared modeling time in this “Coral Cascade” dress.
Patsy and Elin shared this set called “Sweeter for Easter.”
Kirstin looked wonderful in this pretty blue dress with a creamy lace apron.
Ten Ping wore “Pink Princess” next…
This was Bailey’s debut dress…
Bailey was still new to me so she got the next dress as well… “Funshine and Roses.”
Then Navi got her “Funshine and Roses” set…
Noel was next with a dress called “Spring into Summer.”
Emmie wore “Under Blue Skies.”
“Colonial Charm” was shown on Felicity, Caroline and Elizabeth.
And last up today is Navi again, modeling “The Littlest Patriot.”
I knew this wasn’t going to be easy… now you’ve got to choose your favorite from this grouping…
Either leave a comment below or email me with your choice.
Remember, I’ll post the rest of the dresses tomorrow and let you know the winner on Sunday.
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Although I like several of them especially well, this time, I have to say I like Addy’s dress (gray/yellow) the best, simply because it looks SO GOOD on her!! It’s not a fabric I would have chose, but, wow, when you got done, it was just perfect!! If I had an Addy, I for sure would have wanted that dress!!
Ron had his pacemaker implanted today, and although the procedure went longer than we expected, everything went well, and he was looking and acting better than he has in ages. Hopefully he will get to come home tomorrow!! We’ll have to wait and see what the doctor says in the morning.
Hopefully I won’t have to scrape ice tomorrow like I did today, but I probably will–temps are hovering around freezing overnight again. At least, by the time I get the ice scraped, the car is warmed up!!
Thank you again, everyone, for your kind comments, your thoughts, and your prayers. They are much appreciate!
Glad your hubby is better. That is amazing that the improvement is noticeable already. Take care of you too!
Oh Jeanne, how can you do this to us? I don’t know how anyone can pick just one, but I’m going to try! It’s Kirsten’s navy and cream dress with the gorgeous one of a kind lace apron! That dress is to die for! I love the intricate pattern of the lace, and it just gives such an exclusive look to the dress. That’s my pick, at least right now!
Charlotte, I’m happy to hear that Ron came through with flying colors, and may be going home today. You will be able to get the New Year off to a good start knowing he is all “fixed up”!
I may be absent for a few days, since our son and family are coming from Denver, and we will be running around with them exploring St. Louis. Good times!
Hang in there Jeanne!
After much thought and changing my mind a few times! I think I will choose Emmie as my favorite because I love the material and love the thought of green grass and summer. I know we just started this winter thing but———-
Molly in Pink Blush! I just love the fabric and the simplicity of that dress.
Charlotte, how wonderful that Ron is better than ever.
I’m going to pick the first dress as well. Addy looks gorgeous in it!
Isabelle-Valentine Surprise for Little Darlings
I’d take any of your lovely dresses, but to narrow it down, Littlest Patriot, really catches my eye. Enjoyed the style show!
I choose Molly in Pink Blush because it is so sweet and non fussy. Molly is a great model too.
Very glad to hear from Charlotte of the successful surgery. Hope Ron comes home today.
Time to put away our tiny tree and head towards New Years. 🙂
Dear Jeanne, well so far it’s Nyssa – Blissful in Blue (I love that title) and Navi – The Littlest Patriot.
I cannot believe that next week is next year!
Boy, that wasn’t easy! Such adorable outfits! I did manage to choose 3 favorites though and will wait till tomorrow to see the rest.
Glad to hear Ron is doing well. Hope he can come home just in time to bring the New Year in.
HI Paula,
Go ahead and pick one from today…I just realized if everyone picks a dress from today and one from tomorrow, we’ll have 2 top dresses… I thought I had thought this through… but I guess I messed up… I guess we’ll have a winner from Friday and one from Saturday and then we’ll have to pick a winner from those 2 days…
I’m glad you caught this… but go ahead and pick a Friday dress…
I’m going to have to amend my post…
Blessings, Jeanne
My top three favorites are “Cookies from Addy”, the blue one on Kirsten, and “Colonial Charm”. If I had to pick one that I would love to have, it would be “Cookies from Addy”. So that’s my choice. Those Civil war dresses get me every time. 🙂
It was hard…and I didn’t read anyone else’s comments but I loved several..but my fav is Emmie, Under Blue Skies.
Love the print, the colors, the coordinating fabrics and the style.
Thanks for letting us vote! Now I‘Ll go read the other comments
Isabelle is my favorite. I can’t believe all the dresses just this year. Congratulations 🎊!
Dear Jeanne, I misunderstood also. I thought we were just noting the dresses that we liked. I didn’t realize we were going to vote. Sorry I totally missed that part.
I listed two dresses previously. I will select Nyssa – Blissful in Blue as my Friday choice.
Gotcha!!!
Just read the correction. How funny. The way I read your initial post was that we should pick a favorite for each day. I like the idea of doing that and then picking the overall favorite. I love Funshine and Roses. I loved it when you did it and if I had my Lolla back then I would have bid on it. Just looking at it makes me smile.
Happy to see Charlotte’s hubby came through his surgery and is feeling better. Keeping them in my prayers.
Yesterday was my birthday so I didn’t check in with the blog. We went to our son and daughter-in-law’s house for Christmas and my birthday on Boxing Day, since they spend Christmas Day with her family. I really missed a lot but I still have to comment. Dorothy’s Safia looks precious in her little red and white striped dress. It reminds me of dresses my sister and I had when we were small. Jill looks so regal in her Downton Abbey outfit. Charlotte Noel is lovely in her tea party dress. And I love her hair. I love tea parties. When we used to go to one of the Scottish Highland Games a local café would do an afternoon tea. It was lovely.
So sorry to hear about your mom, Jeanne. It’s good all you siblings will be there for her 85th birthday. She may not know it’s her birthday but I’m sure she will bask in the warmth of you all being there.
No new Christmas dolls here but my dolly girls all got together and got me a wonderful gift. A JoAnn’s gift card for $100 and the desire to accompany me and pick out fabric for all their new outfits – as if they didn’t know I have a huge stash already. But I guess they’re like me. There’s always another piece of lovely fabric that’s not in our possession. David said they tormented him until he got it for them. Sean and Dionne gave me a $50.00 gift card to JoAnn’s so I’m more than good to go.
I’m really excited about Ingrid’s Heartstring doll. I will definitely have pictures of mine in my photo shoot.
I’ve seen some clothes on Etsy for Fashion Friends dolls but still no patterns. My next project is a cute outfit for my Lolla. That’s as soon as I can find a place in my sewing room to do it. I’m doing some reorganizing and find I need another storage box for some overflow fabric – and I haven’t even been to JoAnn’s yet.
Happy Belated Birthday, Barbara!
Way to SCORE on the Joann’s gift cards!
Blessings, Jeanne
The Fashion Friends girls can wear Wellie Wishers clothes. Things like overalls are slightly short in the crotch, but most should fit. Maybe try an inexpensive WW pattern for a trial.
It was difficult to pick just one dress, but I think Valentine Surprise is my favorite.
All of the dresses you design and sew are so beautiful. I choose Kristen in the navy and cream dress with the lace apron for today’s choice.
I have to pick two today. I might not have a favorite tomorrow, LOL. Funshine and Roses makes me smile, so that’s a contender and Addy in ‘Cookies’ is the other favorite. Addy’s dress has everything I love. The collar, banded cuffs, and while the skirt isn’t ruffled, it has an overskirt! Although the hat flowers could be a bit smaller for Navi, I love the fabrics on both these outfits and they are in perfect proportion.
Hoping Charlotte’s hubby heals quickly and your injuries Jeanne, too. You NEED to sew. : ) Have you thought about what kind of dress you’d make next? Love and Big Hugs, Ali
So many beautiful dresses! I love them all especially Addy,s dress. Love all of your styles & fabric choices. Thanks for sharing your talent with us❤️
Pink blush for me! Love it!
Hi Jeanne,
I’m late but wanted to vote on my fav dress. It was a hard decision, I was torn between two ensembles. I’ve chosen “cookies for Addy” it’s lovely.
Jeanne I’ll be happy to snap a photo of my heartstring, her name is Jackie. I’ll keep the name, when I rename my dolls I always struggle to remember their new names. LOL Joy, thank you…I’m happy to know ruby red FF girls fit into WW clothes.
So happy for Charlottes hubby, wonderful news that he’s feeling so good already!
Hugs
Ingrid
My favorite is Colonel Charm. I want one just like it 🙂
Hi Jeanne.
Molly in Pink Blush from Friday. Molly in Patriotic Pride from today – I really love that one!!
