Living room pictures and a new dolly video…

I had company the other day and did some major cleaning… I had gotten behind with my cataract surgery and extra visits to see my momma.
I didn’t sleep very well last night and I was kind of in slow motion today. I only stepped into my sewing room to get Molly’s red and aqua dress packed up and mailed out. So there was no sewing done and now it’s 9:51… too late to start anything.

SO… I thought I’d show you my living room. I have some new subscribers and thought maybe they’d like to see where I live. It’s not fancy in the least and certainly not “Cindy-and-Deb-Style” in the least either, but it’s home and we love it here.

We are probably the most proud of the flooring we put down 2 years ago. Going from walking on splintery plywood for 14 years to this new vinyl plank flooring was the best thing we could have even chosen.

…and if you missed the link to the Ruby Red Galleria dolls the other day from Joy, I’ll add the link below… You really should watch the fashion show for the dolls. Their new 14.5″ dolls are just the cutest things. I know Joy received hers already…she picked Hanna and Barbara bought Bella…

Did anyone else buy one of these cuties?

You can see the website and then click on arrow to see the video… HERE.

Right below the video there are 3 pictures of the different girls. If you click each girls picture, it will show you their outfit and more outfits that can be ordered as well.

Well, that’s it for today… I hope to be sewing tomorrow…

Blessings, Jeanne

I think your living room is gorgeous, Jeanne. I believe you’ve added the area rug since the last time you posted pictures of it (or at least that I noticed!).

Oh, those dolls…..I was not going to buy another dolly, but I do think Bella is calling my name. I love redheads (and she has auburn hair), and although I like the style of Hanna’s hair better, I just keep looking at Bella. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched that video! Adorable!!

How about you, Jeanne? Are you getting one, too???? ;-D

  2. Such a warm and comfy living room, Jeanne, much like you!! I love how the windows bring the outside in and show the changing seasons! You and George did a wonderful job of making it a room to live in, welcome others and enjoy!

Oh my gosh, those dolls! I keep saying to myself, no more dolls, but hey, they are just 13.5 inches tall and so cute! I just love their smiling faces! I thought also that they would be in the 2 or 3 hundred dollar price range, much too much, but lo and behold, they are just $129.00! Hmm. I wonder if they could share clothes with Betsy? I may have to put this on the back shelf for awhile, because Christmas is coming and I have 6 grandchildren to buy for, plus one is having a birthday this coming week.

I plan on getting out today to start my holiday shopping, since yesterday was not a good day for me either.

  3. Bonjour Jeanne !

Really lovely and warm home ! Chaleureux et confortable, I like it.
I already have ordered Bella…. ! I thought she could be my Xmas gift’ but she could have been my Eastern or birthday or….. no matter what ! Those dolls are beautiful. Can’t wait to get mine . Have a nice day.

  4. I love your living room. Do we even know those other people OR their living rooms? (I’m guessing sisters? 😊) Yours is YOU. Is that the couch we are sitting on? Ooo, pretty and comfy. Good choice. 😉 The flooring looks like something we’ve been considering replacing our carpet with. You and George did it without hiring somebody? Hubs thinks he could. I like the ceiling treatment, too!

I have deliberately not watched a video of cute articulated dolls! I’ll enjoy seeing the ones other couch sitters get. ♥️

  5. Your living room pictures show a lovely, well put together room. I love what you and your sisters chose for your various appointments. The blue cabinet and contents are so interesting. I’ve always like seeing how you painted it and added such interesting items to sit inside. I agree with Linda, the windows, which are beautiful, allow the outdoors in. It’s the type of room that is so very enjoyable to be in.
In fact, seeing the changes over the last couple of years of the rooms you’ve worked on has been enjoyable and interesting for all of us and we appreciate seeing your progress. Your home is beautiful, warm and inviting, just like you, dear!

  6. I love your living room!!!
I am not really interested in “fancy” — I like comfy and something that fits
for us personally. We do not live in model homes.
I like the flooring too. Well done

Dear Jeanne, thanks for showing your living room. Now I have a visual for the sofa on which we are all seated (chuckle).

I was thinking about purchasing a doll for Christmas, an Iplehouse BID, Erzulie but I am not sure I will now. I already have an Elin and I don’t spend that much time with her. I think I will wait until early 2020 to decide.

  8. Oh, your home is sparkling. Love the view of the gazebo with a touch of snow. So many cute accessories with a peek into your sewing arena. 🙂 Don’t you fight bulls there? Your decor is perfect for the upcoming turkey day and will slide right into the winter holidays. Everything is so tasteful.
My finger slipped again on that mouse button and somehow another Ruby Red Fashion Friends girl will be heading this way. This time it is Sara. Hanna needed a pal her size. The dolls are 14 1/2″, and I understand they can wear Wellie Wishers outfits as well as some shoes, but not all. I know the ice skates fit as those are the only Wellie shoes around here. The FF girls wear a 57 or 58mm size shoe, although the Boneka 60mm may also fit. Apparently, they wear the same size shoe as the 14″ Kish girls. I think they will make great little sisters for the American Girls as well as older sisters for the Little Darlings.
Congrats to Sophie and Vicki on their new Bella’s. And maybe Charlotte too. 🙂
Off to clean the house. Would be so wonderful if it looked as nice as Jeanne’s.

  9. Joy, I’m afraid my finger slipped also! Good heavens, all I need is another doll !!! But Bella has my coloring with the green eyes and auburn hair which one doesn’t see very often in a doll and the price is right for a doll with such unobtrusive joints. You’ve gotten me in trouble with myself again; thanks a lot, guys!

Your living room is beautiful and so snug in the snow, just designed for Christmas 🎄. Love the view out the window.

    1. Oh goody. We can share clothing and accessory finds. 🙂 I think my Sara will arrive next week, but not sure yet. Bella will be great as a little sis or cousin for your big girls. 🙂

  10. I love your living room Jeanne, especially your fireplace. Be sure to post the pictures of your room at Christmas. It was so lovely, cheerful and so welcoming. I do love the flooring. If that’s your sewing room off to the left it’s located the same as mine. My sewing room is in what was once the den so it is right off the living room. I don’t really sew much in the evenings but sometimes if I’m working on an embroidery design that takes hours to stitch out and goes into the evening, it’s nice to be close to the living room so David and I can chat.

Judging from reading the comments today, it looks like Ruby Red Galleria has an over-the-top hit with these FF dolls. Pretty soon they’ll be like the Little Darlings and we’ll have to wait months to years for them. I was late to the party with the Little Darling dolls and getting one from Dianna’s site these days is impossible. My first one is a Geri Uribe Claire but I just happened to be looking the day they were taking orders again. My second one is from Magalie Dawson. She does beautiful work and she likes to get her dolls out within a year, you just have to get on the wait list. I was surprised how quickly I was notified of a slot. But I’m in on the ground floor with the FF dolls thanks to Joy and I intend to make the most of it, eventually buying all three. Then they will probably come out with more. I was wishing that the outfits on the other dolls were available to buy but if I have all three then I would have the outfits. I’ve watched the video a lot. My favorite part is where the girls are all walking out together. Excellent job on the video. Joy, how did you every find out about these dolls?

After weeks of sewing and spending time on my concert music I finally buckled down and did some serious house cleaning. Leaves me with a good feeling to have it done at least for the moment. I have some organizing projects that need to be done in a couple rooms but I will do that along with my sewing projects. Then it will be time to decorate for Christmas. Already???

    1. I’m trying to remember, but somewhere I saw a mention of them, and then they were on the LD facebook site as well. 🙂

  11. Oh my gosh!!! There was a knock on my door and when I answered I saw this sweet little face looking up at me and saying “Is this my new home?”. And there was Bella!!! Well maybe it wasn’t quite like that. I had a fit getting her out of the box. Probably because I was so excited. I did not expect her to arrive so soon. I am totally over the moon. Her cute little winter outfit with the pom poms on the hat is here too. Looks like I’ll be spending the day other than I had planned. I need to introduce her to the many members of her new family.

    1. How exciting! What a swift arrival. So happy for you. Hope you were able to save the box because it makes a perfect bed for her. I might try changing it up a bit. We’ll see. 🙂

      1. Yes, I saved the box. A bed hmmm… Leaves a lot to my imagination. One observation I’ve made so far is the FF dolls are more “fine boned” than the Wellies. The Wellies tend to have a more athletic build. The FFs have more the slenderness of the Hearts 4 Hearts dolls. I will be trying clothes from both dolls on her to see how they fit. Bella had a traumatic experience today. She was sitting on the counter in anxious anticipation of her new daddy coming in for lunch. The first thing he did when he saw her was tell her children were not allowed to sit on the counter. She was very upset that he didn’t recognize her as his new dolly daughter. She was expecting a hug. Boy has he got a lot of making up to do. I’m thinking the other available outfits might do it.

        1. Oops! It’s supposed to read leaves a lot for my imagination. The other implies I can’t see it as a bed at all. Sorry Joy.

          1. Well, I’m sure Bella will soon be ingratiated into your family. Poor thing. Sounds like around here. Most dollies hiding out as other person really does not appreciate them. 🙁 But, fun stuff in the mail today. Glitter Girls shoes that fit our new Fashion Friends quite well. 🙂

  12. Jeanne, I got Sara and surprised she came so fast. I was planning on buying all three but I don’t feel the joints are good quality like the other dolls are. She is also larger than I expected so I will only have one and she can babysit her LD sisters. My Sara has such tight jeans she can’t sit down. Not that posable dressed so was disappointed with that too. She was hard to get out of the box as I had to cut the white wires around her arms and legs. I am glad I got one and thankful I don’t want to buy anymore. Such a relief since I have LD fever needing more and wanting more, lol. The wigs are nice and shiny but glued down so no changing them. I am glad I seem to be the only one who has buyer’s remorse but glad I do.
Good to hear your eye surgery went well. I have been putting that off until absolutely necessary!
