Hi everyone,
Rebecca and I did a few things in my sewing room again! I worked on some alterations for her while she worked on some organizing and sorting my drawers for me.
As I was sewing on random buttons, sewing on a few snaps, fixing the end of a skirt zipper, mending a hole under the arm of a shirt, stitching up a 2″ seam on a velvet dress that had come undone and a few other things, Rebecca was bringing a couple items at a time to me, and I looked at them and said, “keep, pass or maybe”… she was working on my accessories and props I use with the doll outfits I make.
There were baskets, vases, flags, puppy and kitty and bunny figurines, butterflies blocks, puppies and kitties, bird cages, guitars, tote bags, windmills, sunglasses and lots of other things all in 2 drawers. They were a mess having been rummaged around in many times.
As I was doing Rebecca’s alterations, I wasn’t aware of what she was actually doing.
When she reached the last of everything, she said,”Come look!”
She had actually divided things up into 3 different drawers in my big chest of drawers.
She put the animals, doll houses, tea sets, etc. in the top drawer…
In the middle drawer she put the baskets, pails, buckets and the things to go in them, like apples, pears, etc.
In the bottom drawer she put those little cameras I use, blocks, puzzles, chalkboards, birdcages, etc.
She also took out the things in my accessories drawer that actually were little gifts I like to send to the buyers of my doll outfits; things like pretty emory boards, fun mini notebooks, soaps, bookmarks, little clips, sticker books, etc. but she wasn’t finished with it yet, so I’ll have to show it when it’s done.
I only have 3 items left to finish…
It was a productive day for both of us… she got her alterations done and I got lots of things sorted out and organized.
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
