Laura’s kitties and a sneak peek at Gloria’s kitty, Annie!

Hi everyone,
Here’s a post with Laura’s kitties featured and a new kitty to show you…

Hi Jeanne,
Joy asked to see photos of my porch kitties’ houses, etc. We hang heavy vinyl porch curtains like the people up at Lakeside, OH or Lakeview. MI do to batten down their summer homes for the winter. We went to Lakeside many years as it’s close and beautiful. I’ve been to Lakeview, MI a few times and it is beautiful as well.

The far open end of the porch gets a piece of plexiglass, styrofoam and cinder blocks to hold it in place against the winter winds. No snow or rain gets on that side of the porch as we only have a portion to the front door open.
The kitties can enter from the front door side or from a small opening on the other far right corner.

We have two heated mats, heated houses, and then a cooler filled with straw. Obviously dry and wet food and a bowl of water. The trap is there filled with treats each day. It’s so everyone is used to walking through it if they would need to be caught for any treatment.

You can see a couple of porch kitties having breakfast and then one heading in for treats.

Blessings!
Laura

Here are a few more pictures from Laura.

Doyle and Ollie (in tent) are glamping with all of their toys and camper.

Doyle joins Gilead.

Gilead and her kitty, Butterscotch, are staying warm and cozy.

They toast marshmallows and enjoy hot tea and catnip tea for Butterscotch as twilight falls.

Thank you Laura! I appreciate your kitty pics!

Now, I have a new kitty to introduce to everyone!

Yesterday, my hubby had a long day of appointments and Chemotherapy infusion in St. Louis. Then we had to drive about 30 minutes south to a different hospital for him to get 2 more MRI’s. They were late in the evening…5:30 and 6:30 and it was going to be a long drive back home so Gloria and we made plans to go to her house and spend the night instead of driving home in the dark. She lived about 45 minutes away. It was dark driving to her house, alongside the many speed demons who think nothing of going 80-85 miles an hour!!! EEK! I wish I could say I’m getting used to their driving, but I’m not.
Anyway, we had a nice visit with her, she had made dinner for us and we welcomed her bed and the recliner for my hubby.
She has a beautiful long-haired kitty named Annie and she let me take a few pictures of her. She has the sweetest meow!

Here is a picture of me and Gloria…

Well, that’s it!
Kitties and Kindness! Thank you, Gloria and Laura!
Blessings, Jeanne
