These pictures made me smile…

Hi everyone,
I was hoping my computer issues might be over by now, but they aren’t. I can type words and post them, but I can’t upload any NEW pictures that I haven’t shared with you yet. I scrolled through the media gallery where all my pictures I use each day ARE stored… and I went all the way back to September, but I’ve used all the pictures. I was hoping I had taken pictures of something to share but just hadn’t used it yet. Nope… every single picture has been shown… So, I decided I’m going to go through my pictures and when I see one that makes me smile, I’m going to post it… This will just be our “Making me smile on Friday” post! It’s better than just writing…

So here goes… let’s see if these pictures make you smile like they did me!

This is Kathie and her hubby… no longer with us…

Well, I’m going to have to call it quits… I made it through 6500 pictures… OUT OF 38,725… We’d be here till July if I kept going…
Hope you found something to make you smile!

I will see you Monday so have a wonderful weekend…
Blessings, Jeanne

Well, first of all, a couple of odd things: for the first time in a long while, your blog post showed up twice, once from wordpress (which I haven’t seen in ages) and once from wordchimp! And either way, when I clicked on the link, it asks me to log in or provide my name and email to leave a comment! Below the box for the login is a button that you can “turn on” (goes from black dot on white [off] to a white dot on blue [on]) at the bottom!

I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this happen, and if it’s related to the problems you’re having with pictures.

Yes, a number of pictures made me smile! Lots of cute dolls in lovely clothes; Marion and her baby brother (I think); dear Kathie and her hubby (just came across one of her notes to me last night, in fact); lovely flowers; and of course my friend Tonya and me in the first of our “twinsie” outfits, before we made it a “thing” for Expo every year!

Well, there’s nothing different on my end, Jeanne, as far as problems with your blog, just the same as usual, once a day, at 5, but I always keep the day before, so go straight to that, since 5 is so late for me!

Oh my, so many cute pictures that did make me smile! I especially loved the “people” pictures, and especially cherish the one of Kathie. So many memories from seeing everything, it is almost like a year I. Review type of thing that magazines sometimes have. I see a bit of my pictures sprinkled in, thank you so much! Fu. To see others pictures too, a d I do remember every last one!
Thank you for the trip down “Memory Lane!”

Wow, Jeanne, what fun this is! I kept having so many smiles that my cheeks got tired! I know that there were quite a few I had never seen, so that must have been the time I couldn’t get into the blog for weeks! There were so many special ones, I loved those of the people, but you left out yourself, you always make us smile! thank you for this, it was a great idea!

  4. What a show! I was smiling too. All of these are truly gems!
Is this just over the past year? These are happy memories.
The good ones and the funny ones. I like them
Happy Friday everyone. I hope your week-end is filled with happiness and
delightful weather. We have the heat on this morning! Just for a bit.
    It got cold last night.
I have been moving stuff to the new house. I am not sure
how much is going to fit. There is an amazing amount of closets to hide stuff
    Love, Rosemary

  5. Today’s my birthday and I’m looking forward to a wonderful day with my family and my precious kitties. The sun is shining brightly for the first time this week as well. Beautiful photos , Jeanne. I see you even included my precious Truffle girl who went to Heaven last year. I love and miss her so much!! I can’t wait to see her and all my other pets (and family) again.
I also received the blog twice. Both came to my inbox instead of to promo as before. I like when it comes to my inbox.

Btw, Jeanne. I did send you two funny things the other day. A funny sign and a photo I found online and captioned. I’ll send them again.

I just saw this Laura, we have been gone all afternoon. I hope your day has been wonderful and that your evening will be so as well. Wishes for many, many more happy birthdays.

I have a twofer today. One from idreamofeannemarie.com and one from Jeanne Marie. This is the first one.
Fun seeing all of the pics from the past. 🙂 So many memories.
This email has the log in etc. as Charlotte, mentioned.

Well, this post is from the email titled Jeanne. It looks like both emails post to the same place. Interesting.
We were able to find some very pretty artificial flowers yesterday at Dollar Tree. Although, they did not have all that much stock for either Memorial Day or the 4th of July. I did find some cute little paper things that you fold into a circle decorations for the 4th that are just the right size for dollies. I think they would be a cute background. So, today we’ll head down to the cemetery with the flowers. The boy scouts will be putting out flags on the graves of all veterans and the annual program will be on Monday, so everything will look very festive. There is always a good crowd for the Memorial Day program and I think they may be having the Avenue of the Flags once again.
Managed to fill another yard can late yesterday so back at the mostly blackberry now mess. My zinnias are popping up, but still waiting for the cukes and zukes. Our tomato plants are about ten inches high. A long way to go to catch up with George’s crop. 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and stay safe.

  8. I received the morning email but nothing uploaded. Only the message “This message has not been downloaded from the server” so I had to go to a previous post to get to today’s.
The photos were a lot of fun!! Loved Reuben greeting the baby chicks and the hens in line to check out the mirror.

I was going to say there was nothing different today’s blog but I see I have to log in to comment!
I remember most of the pictures and they did make me smile, some more than others. It was fun seeing them.
I have a busy day planned, I really must start my packing today. One suitcase is ready to pack but Sam still has to get the smaller one from the garage. Why don’t I get it myself you might ask? If you saw my garage you would know. Sam seems to know where everything is I can’t even get in there. Still she has only lived here for 3 and a half years!!! My car used to be in the garage every night, but it hasn’t seen the inside since they moved in.
Only 5 days to go, not that I am counting!

Better get on that packing! Can’t wait to hear about your trip. If you can’t post, maybe you can take notes and pics to share later? 🙂

By the way, after posting on both addresses for todays post, I’ve found that you do not have to log in. All you do is put in your email and name like always. It’s below those different ways to log in with FB etc.

Dear Jeanne, well I truly smiled! Some of the photos I had seen before and some were new to me. I loved the Maypole dancers, of course. I saw my little travel doll Safiah. She is already packing for the UFDC Convention in July. I enjoyed seeing the photos of the Sofa Sisters.

Happy Memorial Day to you and the Sisters. Blessings to all of the military personnel, those here with us and those who are gone. Thank you for your service.
