Bit by bit My Meadow, Bailey, is gathering up her Easter accessories!

Hi everyone,
I have a few new things to show you what I’ve been working on for Bailey. I had to do some housecleaning, but this was more fun! :o)

So, I left you yesterday and Bailey’s dress was constructed but the snaps weren’t sewn on the back and it wasn’t hemmed… Well now it is!
It is SO SO tiny… it’s funny to make something so small and see it fit in the palm of your hand. The dress does… actually, I could probably fit all the pieces to this set in my hand. So let’s see some pictures of what’s changed…

I did get her dress hemmed and the snaps sewn on the back and then I decided to add some pink silk ribbons to the waist… I think they are just what was needed.

You may have noticed some white thigh highs peeking out from under her dress… well, not only thigh highs, but a pair of teeny tiny panties in some pink lace! :o)

“Don’t I look cute with my hat tipped like this, Joy?”

Bailey was getting carried away with our picture time…

Well, the set was just too cute NOT to make a pair of shoes… so I made some pink leather slip on shoes…but they are drying so she couldn’t put them on… I’m going to embellish them with “something!”

You may have also noticed Bailey found something she wanted to go with her set too… a little white bunny… I don’t know if she’ll go in a pocket or a purse, but I’ll figure out something! :o)

I was hoping to get this all finished and listed on Ebay, but it didn’t happen… I’m not sure when I can get back to it… I have something every day for the next while… Ladies Day Out, Birthday Party, Lunch with a friend, my sister is coming for several days, my hubby is having his next leg surgery, then I have a baby shower…

Well, I’ve used up enough hours in this day and I’m already working on Friday, (EEK) so I better get to bed!

I’ll see you when I see you!
Blessings, Jeanne

Bailey’s outfit is just darling, Jeanne, and she looks plenty pleased with that little bunny rabbit you found for her!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–makes me wish I had one of these dolls!!

The bidding is really coming along nicely on Ten Ping’s outfit!!

Today I was helping my friend Leah with her sewing. She had sewn before, but it was many, many years ago. She’s making an apron, and today she got the bib to it finished. She was so excited!! It’ll probably be another week or so before we get to do more, as her work schedule gets in the way sometimes. I’m really enjoying helping her, as she’s so enthusiastic, and really loving the sewing! I think she’s a natural!

    1. That is a very fun endeavor to teach a friend to sew. How wonderful, Charlotte. As we know for ourselves, it takes a lot of practice and a few failures but we always become more proficient!

What a darling dress, Jeanne, and those two bows at the waistline just made me smile! Perfect! They are just the touch to embellish the dress, while not overpowering the hat!
Oh, how I wish I had someone to wear this,……and the money to buy it!😊

The little panties, thigh highs and shoes are perfect too. Each picture is cuter than the last! So a bunny is added and this will be the absolutely best Easter set you have made!

Dear Jeanne, oh my but she is the cutest little girl! She is “picture postcard” adorable.

I am glad you are going to have some sister time. I look forward to reading about your adventures.

I think Bailey’s all set to take off for another auction. Great pics with her tipped hat. 🙂 Love the pink shoes as they are, but can’t wait to see the embellishments. Little bunny, Tipper, will be so fun for Bailey to carry along in the Easter parade. Can’t believe that it will actually be April early next week and then Easter not that far away. With Easter being later this year. it does give the person here more time to make an Easter dress. She’s been working on shorts and shirts and hasn’t gotten around to the cute fabric she’d planned on using. Must get on that.

And Jeanne, has been accomplishing so much and more to come. Hope she gets a rest break wedged in there.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.

  5. Bailey is super adorable, I love this doll girl!!
This dress is so sweet, it looks a tiny bit like dog wood flowers, or cherry blossoms, if you use your imagination hee hee
I hope you enjoy your week-end and some good times through all of the adventures ahead. Best wishes to hubbs for a easy successful surgery
    Happy Friday every one!!

  6. This whole set is just adorable and so spring/ Easter like. The ribbons at the waist are just the perfect embellishment and of course a lovely hat is an Easter Sunday must have. Can’t wait to see the shoe decorations.
    Happy weekend, everyone!

Wow, Jeanne, what a busy week you are going to have. I do hope you have a bit of time to finish that adorable outfit. I LOVE the fabric and hat and shoes. The ribbons add so much to it! I know it will fly away!

Looking forward to the finish and news from you busy week.

A pocket or a purse? What she really needs is an EASTER BASKET.

Could one of your AG’s hold a piece of that flowered fabric to show us the real size of those flowers? I think this may be Bailey’s best, but an all Bailey fashion show might be fun so we can see for sure.

With all the fuss about Canada, I went and checked Maplelea dolls. Their modern styles don’t come close to yours in style and beauty, but they have a cute lumberjack-themed outfit and an outfit honoring the WWI Canadians that came home to work as bush pilots. I wondered if we had anything comparable that would be fun to make. They have outfits honoring people with roots in, say, Scotland or France, and we have Kirsten and Josefina and Kaya. Though you don’t seem short of inspiration, I wondered if anyone here had been secretly wishing for a particular kind of outfit.
