Hi everyone,
I have a reminder for you: The two American Girl dolls that I fixed up to sell, will be going to a new home this evening. I hope they will be loved much by their new moms and sisters! :o) You can see their listings on Ebay by clicking their pictures at the right side bar or you can click HERE and HERE.
Rebecca and Karn had something come up so they didn’t make it this week, but are coming this next week…
I wish I had more to show you, but I had a busy weekend with a Women’s mini gathering, and also we celebrated 2 different birthdays with a picnic. It was all I could do to find something for the newly made over dolls to wear. The two new girls are now wearing cute outfits and ready for their time on Ebay, hoping someone will want them enough to adopt them. I had some outfits that hadn’t sold before and one of the dolls I found came in the quilted vest and pants. I put something together for them both… want to see?
First up is the American Girl #41. She is the doll I had, which I named Eden and I have to admit, I found myself looking at Eden’s pictures and the outfits I had made her and my heart was pulling just a little bit to keep her. I decided for now, I’m going to let her go, but she’s a very pretty doll. Here are some pictures of her…
She looks very sweet in this coral and aqua set… it’s not American Girl, but her shoes are and they are LIKE NEW! Absolutely perfect!
This set came with a stretchy hair band so I used it for a few pictures.
Here hair is very pretty and so soft now…
She has a VERY faint mark under her right eye, but it can hardly be seen… it’s almost like a baby vein… but I wanted to tell you about it.
When I was dressing her, I also discovered some discolorations on her arms… I didn’t try to get them off…
Her eyelashes are perfect…
Thank you Paula, for pointing me in the right direction for who this next doll is… she’s a Just Like You or Truly Me #25 and was released in 2005 and just retired last year, 2023. This is the outfit I found for her… It’s an American Girl outfit made in Indonesia…I’m not sure if it had a name… I’m guessing it did.
She is a very pretty doll too… and was so happy with her makeover…
Once her hair dried completely, it’s SO SO pretty and SO SO soft…
I hadn’t noticed this, but her upper lip has a slight mark on it, that I hadn’t seen… it’s barely noticeable but if you look closely you can see a darker spot…
I didn’t see it before I sprayed her with Mr. Super Clear, so now that blemish is sealed and can’t be wiped away… I’m not sure it could have come off before anyway, but I know it can’t now…
Again, it is barely noticeable, but wanted to disclose it…
So my plan is to get these 2 doll listed on Ebay Monday evening… I sure hope it happens, because I have 2 more dolls I want to share with you. They were in the worst condition, and I haven’t done a thing to them yet, but you’ll see their before pictures probably Tuesday.
I will see everyone tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
I remember Eden from some of your outfits you made. Must have been a hard decision to let her go! The other doll is really beautiful, too–in fact, I think she’s my favorite of the two. I’m sure they’ll find new mommys when you put them on ebay next.
Ron’s sister Pam is in town; we haven’t seen her in close to 19 years (although we do stay in touch), as she lives way down near the state line. She’s been caregiver for her husband, but her part-time helper volunteered to stay with him so she could get away for a few days. She’s also going to see his daughter. That will be Monday, and we will see Pam on Tuesday. I’ll have to remember my camera, as it’s likely the last time they will see each other on this earth, considering Ron’s age and all. (He’s actually had a pretty good week, even playing a couple of games with me, which he has never been particularly interested in doing most of the time!)
Have a great time. This is going to be a great week for you
Thank you!!
Both of these dolls are gorgeous. They will find new homes quickly.
I hope they get proper hugs and kisses from all the others before their departure.
As always, you make these dolls look perfectly wonderful
Well, the dolls look amazing now. So much nicer. Question? How do you keep that sealant spray from getting on things like eyes, lashes, etc.? I’d like to see a pic of how you prepare for that. Is it messy? How long does it take to dry?
Around here, we had more rain so I couldn’t get back to yardwork until yesterday. But, managed to yank a lot out from the still wet adobe including mint, two varieties of blackberry, and tons of weed varieties. Not anywhere close to being finished, but every time I finish an area it makes me happy. I did spot something new. A blooming blue flower. I’m thinking borage, but maybe something similar. It’s not forget me not. I need to get a pic. Must have been added by the local birds. Interesting though.
The dog outfit is American Girl Doll Coconut Pajamas Outfit Set Pillow Shorts Slippers Top. There is a set listed on Ebay for $30.
Jeanne, I’m a bit late, but I have so much to do outside, I wanted to get going early. It got so hot yesterday and today is going to be the same. It was almost 90 degrees yesterday, but our thermometer said 90. The air conditioner kicked in, so we are comfortable inside, but our work is outside!
You have two lovely dolls there! Well, now you do, maybe not before you fixed them up, ut I always did think Eden was a beautiful doll. I have those same blue shoes! They came with the Lilac Meet outfit from 2014. They were selling the Meet outfit separately that year, and I got it at the St. Louis store. Both of those outfits look just darling on the dolls, and I’m sure somebody will scoop them up!
Just wanted to let you know that the ultrasound lady thought we are having a son. I am sure I need all the prayers I can get. Hope you are having a good day.
Karen, know that my prayers are surely with you. When is your due date?
Thank you very much, Barbara! They are much appreciated. July 28th is the due date.
How exciting for you, and I am sure he will have a bevy of loving sisters at his beck and call!
Thank you, Linda! 🙂
