Happy Thanksgiving 2023, to all my Sofa Sisters!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating! I know you might be busy decorating the table or setting food on the table, or even sitting at the table, so I’ll make this quick!

If you have a free minute or two, list something in the comments below or in an email that you are thankful for and let it BEGIN WITH THE FIRST LETTER OF YOUR NAME…

I’ll go first.

I am thankful JESUS lives in my heart! (Jeanne)

I will see you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Oh wait… we have dolly pictures from Linda! If my name started with an L… I’d be sure and say I’m thankful for Linda’s Lovelies! :o)

Jeanne, here are a couple of pictures that maybe you can use. I know you will be busy, as most of us will.
The 40’s girls are dressed for dinner at Grandma’s house and it looks like Betsy has pardoned a turkey!

The next picture is of Ivy and Scarlett getting the pies ready at the table.

We all wish you and the Sofa Sisters a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Love to you,
Linda🦃💕

    What a nice idea, Jeanne!!

I’m thankful for my church and my church family (and of course my Christian faith). And oh so many other things!!

Linda, thanks so much for sharing some wonderful pictures once again! I always enjoy seeing what your girls are up to!!

I have been invited to the adult family home for Thanksgiving dinner; our grandson Isaac will be going with me, too. Our son was also invited but opted not to go; however, he was just here yesterday, as he had dropped by to see if he could help me with anything.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Sofa Sisters!!

  2. Linda in St. Louis

Yes, like most of us, I will be busy in the kitchen making pies and a sweet potato casserole. Thank you Jeanne for showing my “girls”!

Now, L,……..what can I say that I am thankful for that starts with an L? The one big thing I can think of is one, simple, four letter word: LOVE! I’m thankful for the love that I have for my family, friends, and yes, our pets too, plus this wonderful, beautiful world that was created for us! Love truly does make the world go ’round!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

  3. Susette from Southern California

Susette here, being thankful for Sofa Sisters! I’ve made friends through the blog whom I treasure ❤️. Being one of the oldest of the sisters, I’ve lost a few friends just because I’ve lived so long. Thanks, Jeanne and my relatively “new” friends, for making me happy to still be here! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone around the world 🌎🌍🌏🦃❤️!

  4. Karen from Kentucky

It is great to see your pictures, Linda! Nice that Betsy is letting the turkey live 🙂
I am thankful for Kit Kats and ketchup.
Have a great Thanksgiving, Jeanne, and all!

  5. Sissy Lingle on the GA coast

A great idea Jeanne, and lovely to see Linda’s pictures.

I am thankful for Seeing eyes, Singing in church, and Staying alive!

I am also thankful to you, Jeanne, for all you do to keep up together.

  6. Happy Thanksgiving! C is for Caring. Having caring people in my life and caring for people. Our Thanksgiving was in October as I’m Canadian, but I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Jeanne!

  7. Anne Coldron in Christchurch NZ

I’m thankful for all the amazing people in my life, I have some wonderful and caring friends, lovely family and, of course, all you wonderful sisters on the sofa.
We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here, probably the nearest is the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Waitangi Day on 6th February but it isn’t a day for families to gather we do that at Christmas
Hope you all had a wonderful day blessings to everyone

  8. Hope your house or where you are smells like Thanksgiving. What a combo..Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, salads…himminess.. My four pies are done and in the car.
    Darling pics Linda!
Thanks for all you do Jeanne🦃🫶

“B” is for … hmm… Bread, both the eating kind and the money kind. I am so thankful we have plenty to eat and money for the things we need and the ability to share our abundance with those who need help both within and without our family.

As for the kind of bread you eat, I am totally stuffed and have not even eaten any dessert yet. Grandson Skyy made some amazing cornbread. He could have passed it off as desert. Must get the recipe from him.

Linda, as usual your pictures are wonderful and always on time. I’ve really got to do better in the dolly picture department.

  10. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Jeanne, thank you for sharing this Thanksgiving missive with us. I enjoyed seeing Linda’s photos.

Here are my “D” thankful words:
I am grateful for my daughter, who drove all the way to pick me and and then take me back home so I could spend time with the family for Thanksgiving.”

I am grateful for my dolls. They make me smile whenever I look at them.

I am grateful for desserts, especially traditional wedding cake (white cake/white icing). It’s my favorite!

  11. Love Linda’s great kitchen photo of the girls with the most important ingredient of Thanksgiving, pie! What a perfect table setting. Love the 40’s girls all dressed for the special occasion, and so glad to hear that Betsy, has pardoned this turkey. Such a cute scene.
“J”oyful, to still be kicking. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving. 🙂
