~ WELCOME FALL ~ is now listed on Ebay…

I wanted to get (at least) one thing accomplished today… get Stella’s doll dress listed on Ebay…

I managed that and actually a few more things got done too! I’ve been working in my sewing room, sorting and organizing and weeding out! I think it’s almost time for some things to be culled!

When I woke up this morning, the wind was blowing something fierce… and when I looked at the weather report, it was only going to get worse as the day went on. I could face the 22 mile an hour winds now or later… I decided earlier was better. There were supposed to be up to 32 mile an hour gusts too. The sun wasn’t shining, but it was light out, and just a bit cloudy.

I grabbed a clear container to put Stella in, a bench and both of her hats, and my phone. My hubby had just mulched the leaves yesterday, but it was so windy, there were more leaves on the ground today, than yesterday. Oh well! We found a few spots around my house where the wind was slightly less windy than out in the open.

Here are a few pictures, with some that didn’t make the cut…

Once when I sat my tub down with Stella in it, this happened…

Here are 2 last pictures.

You can see the listing on Ebay, by clicking the picture at the right side bar, or you can click HERE.

I will see you Monday,
Blessings, Jeanne

We didn’t have winds to deal with today, but it was plenty cold–I think our high was 49! Brrr….Have to get the outdoor faucet winterized tomorrow, for sure. Thankfully, we don’t get freezing temps super often, but one does need to be prepared!!

Stella’s outfit is wonderful, and the pictures turned out really nice. I like the one of her in front of the cedar tree, particularly. Someone’s dolly is going to be very happy!!

What darling pictures, Jeanne, and in spite of the wind, they turned out just fine! No worries there. All are cute, and I think everyone will see the true colors in the listing.

Your yard looks a lot like ours, leaves everywhere! Too windy to rake, and it will be wet this weekend. Aren’t you thanking your lucky stars that the hayride was last weekend? Cold weather is coming!

We may have snow this weekend. Halloween is always cold. Fortunately we did our leaf-looking Tuesday because they won’t last.

Stella looks lovely in her new outfit, especially in the second picture, where she looks especially sweet. It’s always nice to see the colors in natural light. I do think the green shoes are some of your best.

The outdoor photos are delightful. Stella is a natural model too. 🙂
It’s very cold here in northern CA, this morning as well. We too are battling the leaf drop. And the wind will be picking up tomorrow with a red flag warning as the humidity will also be dropping. A lot more leaves will be tumbling around for sure.
Have a great weekend everyone. 🙂

I think that the pictures came out nicely.
It’s supposed to be rainy here in PA also. I will take the rain over snow any day though.
Wishing you and the Sofa Sisters a fun dolly (or sewing, crafting, cooking) weekend.

Another auction to watch! Yay! I love this ensemble and the pictures are the cutest. Stella is lovely and very photogenic.

We mulch our leaves rather than raking them. Sean makes his own compost for his garden and he rakes up whatever he needs of the mulched leaves and grass for his tumbler. The rest become natural fertilizer for the soil. Not to mention that doing this is definitely easier on the back.

  7. The pictures are so cute. The last one is my favorite and it is amazing how different the dress looks with the green hat and then how the salmon pops out of the print when she is e wearing the salmon hat.😉
We are in for a rainy and cold weekend too. Guess we can’t avoid it. I really do like having four seasons but it is hard to let go of the 70’s and dig out the coats.
Had a fun evening with my daughters last night…we had tickets to a book signing with Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman. We were in line for 2 hours but what fun to just visit with my daughters… we never get to do that just the three of us.
After Ree standing and signing for over two hours she was just as pretty and friendly as she could be. She had at least another hour to go. Her hubby was there too standing and visiting with those of us in line. What a nice guy…a real cowboy..( he runs a huge cattle feeding ranch). I asked him how he is doing..He is all recovered from a horrible accident and feeling fine. They were on their way to South Dakota to see their son play football at SDU.

Dear Kathie, how wonderful that you got to meet Ree Drummond! I read her autobiography a few years back. Is that the same book that you purchased?

She seems like an incredible lady. I haven’t watched her show for a while but I always enjoyed watching her cook (said the non-cook – laugh). I watched the episode of her daughter’s wedding. It was so lovely.

      Thanks for sharing your story.

  8. The pictures turned out so cute. I like Stella sitting on the rock best. Windy and drizzle here this morning,, but temps in the 60s. We’re having our “Indian Summer”. The leaves are so pretty and our backyard maple is still pretty green. The burning bush is brilliant red. Plan to mow mulch the front yard leaves tomorrow and then the back early next week. Will have to do it at least twice more as the remainder fall. Then into bags they go to add to the compost pile.
