Ruby Red Fashion Friends doll, Freida, wants to show you her new cowgirl pieces…

Thank you for all your suggestions on Freida’s newest outfit but I’m not sure whose suggestions I actually followed. I read them, but then I just started cutting out and sewing, so I’ll have to go back to the comments and see… I’m not finished, but I have at least a pretty good idea of where I’m heading… (which is better than I can say about yesterday!) :o)

So you want to see some pictures? Here is the top finished… I did crop it, and I think I remember it was Joy who suggested that… I like it this way…

The pictures aren’t coming out quite as beautiful as the fabric really is. I LOVE this fabric and wish I had gotten more… It is really lovely!

The back closes with hidden snaps.

How about a pretty white slip that can be worn on top of the midriff section and just peek out a little below the skirt…

Here is the double tied skirt that has fringed edges and a wider waistband. If you line it up with the midriff top, you can’t tell it’s two pieces. It snaps in the back, but I don’t have that finished yet… it’s just pinned.

Now if your doll wants to go casual… how about a pair of low rise jeans… I think this works well with the crop top…

Lots of progress made today… I hope you’ll come back tomorrow and see what else might be added! I also hope you are liking it…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Freida’s ensemble is coming along nicely! I’m so glad she’ll be able to go square dancing, with that twirly skirt and petticoat! And the jeans are perfect for a picnic or hay ride–looks so cute to see her little tummy stick out a bit!!

Freida looks very happy with her new clothes!

Belated birthday greetings to Laura; I just saw that when I was checking comments from yesterday’s blog.

Really cute, Jeanne! I love that flouncy skirt, held out by that cute petticoat, fringe ruffles and all! I like the way you did the blouse, which looks so cute with the jeans! She is all set, well almost, for a fun weekend in the country!

Every cowgirl needs a horse! Well, maybe, unless they are going line dancing. ๐Ÿ™‚
Love that fabric! Looks wonderful on Freida.
Another foggy day here and cooler temperatures. Won’t have to water my seeds so frequently, I hope.
My RRFF Caroline, is finally arriving. Poor girl has certainly taken a canoe across the Pacific. I don’t see how I can sneak her inside without other person and his prying eyes discovering her, but we’ll see. Definitely need a new approach.

Dear Joy, I can’t wait to read about your espionage tactics. Please keep us informed (laugh).

Can’t wait to hear how you manage to get her in. I heard she sold out in 15 minutes. That must have been stressful for people wanting her.

Sorry, my Hi Joy didn’t show.
You know, Joy, I just thought of something. I’m on a first name basis with my Fed Ex driver and he would put something anywhere I asked. I know the Rubies come UPS and we have the same UPS driver as well. You need to work out a plan ahead of time where they should stash the dolls for later retrieval.

Great idea, but our drivers seem to change regularly. But, I will definitely keep that in my bag of tricks. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Jeanne, I love it all, especially that cute skirt! Canโ€™t wait to see it all completed.

Happy belated Birthday to Laura, sorry I missed it yesterday!

Dear Jeanne, this will be a lovely ensemble for some lucky little miss. She can pack it and take it on a Summer vacation with her family.

  6. Cute, cute, cute! She looks fantastic. Will she have boots.
She looks like my granddaughter with her cute tummy showing. The fringe at the edge of the ruffles is a nice look.Maybe the jeans are a bit big in the upper thigh. Is the denim stretchy? Hope so๐Ÿ˜‰
    Watching for the next addition.
Good luck receiving your next Doll Joy๐Ÿซฃ

Thank you, Barbara, Linda, Jeanne, Dorothy in PA and the World, and Joy for the birthday wishes. I had a wonderful day and received some lovely gifts from a very dear friend.

Freida’s outfit is coming along nicely. I’m glad you made a matching skirt and petticoat. The fringe is cute along the ruffles and adds to the western style. I think you may be going for a jodhpurs look since the jeans are fuller in the thigh. Can’t wait to see more.

  8. Hi Jeanne. Very beautiful outfits. Do u sell your patterns for the doll clothes? Loll

    1. HI Sandra,
Selling my patterns isn’t something I am doing right now… maybe one of these days. Thank you for your kind compliments.
      Blessings, Jeanne
