Here are the rest of my pictures from antique shopping in Springfield Missouri! I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures from yesterday… Isn’t that the most fun store? You can’t imagine all the things I didn’t show you!
Here are some new pictures for today…
Well, that’s all my pictures!!
I’m heading home and will see you Monday!
Blessings, Jeanne
More fun pictures! I am also enjoying everyone’s comments, too, as we each seem to spot different things.
In the 6th picture down, there’s a small pitcher hanging to the left side. It looks like it might be Belleek, although I’d have to have a closer look, but I know Belleek has had a similar-shaped pitcher in the past. (Yes, I have a collection of Belleek!)
And in that same picture, off to the right, chef S and P shakers, and in front of what I think might be a Kay Starr album (78s, I imagine, judging from the size, etc.).
I think the last picture is my favorite, though–all that pretty glassware, plus an elegant mink hat in the foreground! In the early 60s, that was the height of class, to have a mink hat!! (And I actually have one, although I bought mine in a retro clothing shop about 20-some years ago, to wear to our “flashback to the 50s” dinner at a UFDC regional conference I attended. BTW, I also have my late mother-in-law’s mink stole; her daughter had it for years, and decided she didn’t want it any more, so offered it to me. I was happy to have it, as I loved my mother-in-law. And I have actually worn it a couple of times on Mother’s Day, to honor her memory [and I also wear my mother’s wedding set, and will again this year], but this Sunday it’s supposed to get up to 89 or 90, so I don’t think I’ll wear the mink stole!!)
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Sofa Sisters who are mothers–whether your “children” are flesh and blood, furry, or vinyl!
Heard that the temps have been pretty hot up your way Charlotte. We’re supposed to have a very hot day today here as well. Keep cool. 🙂
Lots of interesting items to view today. Fun. Now, I’m wondering. Did any of the sisters buy anything on their travels? I can picture Cindy, rearranging the booths to make them more attractive. I’m sure her expertise would increase sales. 🙂
Well, the latest RRFF girl Alma, has decided to head this way. She’s a close Anne of Green Gables girl. Love her little carpet bag. 🙂
Drive safe Jeanne, and Happy Mother’s Day.
I saw her, too, Joy, and was pleased by all the details they put in her costume. I haven’t ordered her–yet!–though, as I also have Russell coming next month, and one can only smuggle so many doll boxes into the house at a time!! 😂
Dear Jeanne, I am having fun “walking” through the antique shop with you again today.
Safe travels home.
Happy Mothers Day to you and all of the Sofa Sisters.
