I was truly racing against the clock Friday evening, trying to get Bailey’s dress set finished and listed on Ebay. You can see it by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.
I wanted to make a hairbow as one more piece to this set… because St. Patrick’s Day will be over in one day and then she wouldn’t have anything to wear on her head…although I guess a little girl can wear a sparkly hat any time she wants. A hairbow attached to a band that snaps on top, under the bow, was just what was needed. I worked at the Food Pantry today and by the time I got home, and got the bow made and a few new pictures taken, edited, and then started working on my listing… well, let me just tell you, my hubby started eating without me…
I was scrambling to get it listed at a decent hour to end, and since St. Patrick’s Day is quickly closing in, I decided to list this for just 3 days instead of my normal 5. I was happy to get it listed tonight, but it will be a little later than normal when it ends Monday evening. It will end at 8:53 p.m.
Then there was the dilemma over what to call this… I liked several of your names, but there was so much to list in the title of my auction; My Meadow, 6″, Twinkles, (I couldn’t get St. Patrick’s Day in there, so I just used “green.”) and I only had so many spaces to use, so I went with some bits of pieces of some of your names… “Little Irish Lass” was what I came up with…
I thought I’d share a few of the new pictures with you, and then show you why I couldn’t take any outside pictures today…
Here she is in all of her sweetness…
…and here she is showing you ALL that comes with this set… (not the chair…)
Now this is why there were NO outside pictures…
It absolutely came a down pour today for quite a few hours. That area where our fountain is, used to be an inground swimming pool, so the concrete base is still there… when it rains really hard like today, the “cement pond” fills up and looks like a swimming pool again. It was about 6″ deep… There are sprigs of grass because my hubby hasn’t started mowing yet… after all, it’s only March! Anyway, the water stayed there for hours and hours today…
I will probably send out a reminder of Lian’s purple dress Sunday morning!
Well, that’s it for me… have a wonderful (dry, warm, no snow weekend!)
See you Monday!
Blessings, Jeanne
Bailey looks cuter than ever in that little hair bow; it just sets off the whole outfit. I like that little hat, too, but, as someone mentioned, the hairbow makes the outfit wearable all year round.
Another fun day at expo today, and my knee has been somewhat better. My cousin mentioned it could be floating cartilage, and that’s probably what it is–my first surgery on that knee was to “clean it out”. This was some years ago, but it definitely made a difference in the comfort level at the time!
Jeanne, your yard and my yard, both looked about the same yesterday! What a dreary day that was!
Bailey just put sunshine in it all though, with that impish smile and she looks adorable with that perky bow for her hair! Yes, that helps it for other days when a cute sparkly hat doesn’t work!
I think a lot of us on the blog without a Dumpling doll wish we had one now!
Jeanne’s, Little Irish Lass is so sweet. 🙂 Just for information, the Meadow kids in the smallest sizes are as listed: Dumplings 11″, Chibbis 7.6″, Twinkles 6.3″, and Sprouts 4.7″. They are all adorable. 🙂
A couple of new RRFF Siblies are up today. Queen of Hearts and Alice in Wonderland. 🙂
Have a delightful weekend everyone.
Bailey looks adorable in this St. Patrick, Irish Lass outfit. The accessories are the perfect choices to go with it. I think your pictures are great in showing everything too!
Who’s next, I wonder!
She is adorable and hopefully will be a good auction. I can’t imagine sewing for her tiny size and then I see Joy said there is a sprout at 4””. Yikes…that is super small.
It is a good time of year for a soaking rain…we have gotten a couple but less than an inch. Mike did finish cutting back the NearlyWild roses. He caused a fuss as he fell over ( he was on his knees) and couldn’t get up…until the neighbor drove by to help. I was just inside the door but he didn’t call out …or have his phone so lesson learned..take your phone🥹.
Enjoy your weekend…maybe take a day off!
i chuckled at Paula’s comment. No pressure from us sofa sisters. Okay you finished that outfit, now who’s next. I love it. But it is fun seeing who and what comes next.
The whole outfit is so adorable but I love the picture of Bailey without the pantaloons. I was wondering what just the dress looked like. My girls are so hot natured that they don’t like anything much on their legs after the first day of Spring. Well they do live in Texas. I do love the bow making the outfit more versatile. Sadly I don’t have a Twinkle but Lolla my Dumpling says she wouldn’t mind having an outfit like that herself.
As I’ve often said, the weather here is totally unpredictable until Summer arrives then it’s hotter than hot. But during the fall and winter months we can get all four seasons within a week. The weather right now is my perfect weather that we don’t see much of. A front came through and the days are cool and sunny. Sure do wish I could bottle it for use this summer.
The hairbow was a super addition and makes the dress go from St. Patrick’s Day to a spring one. Bailey is very cute in this set and makes a great Little Irish Lass.
We had a deluge of rain yesterday as well and cold, gusty winds. Today is lovely with nearly 50 and brilliant sunshine.
I laughed at Paula’s comment as well. Just keep cranking them out. 🙂
