New dolly things in my Etsy shop!

It has been FOREVER since I did anything with my Etsy shop. Now that it’s up and running… I thought I better get something in it! I had all those beaded headbands and necklaces for the Ruby Red Fashion Friend and Siblies dolls that needed to be listed…and I did it! I have 26 listings in there right now… all with FREE shipping! :o)

Here are a few samples of what’s there…

There was no way to list things so a discount was taken if you ordered more than one item… so I’ll just tell you here…
if you order:
One headband or necklace it will be $8.00
Two headbands or necklaces will be $14.00
Three headbands or necklaces will be $20.00
Four headbands or necklaces will be $25.00

There is no way to adjust the prices, so I will just have to send you a refund in the box when I mail it to you. That’s the only way I know how to do it…

Here is the link to my Etsy shop. I still don’t have it at the side bar yet…

I Dream of Jeanne Marie Etsy Shop

I still have quite a bit to list, but I’m trying as fast as I can… I have lots of “littles” so keep watching!

Tomorrow I’ll show you some pictures from a reader who gave in a got a special doll! :o)

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Congrats on getting your Etsy shop up and running again, Jeanne!! Hope things go well there.

Also congrats on SIX bids already for Felicity’s outfit! I can certainly understand why–it’s gorgeous!!

Saturday was Ron’s 90th birthday. I had made a FB post about it, and there were 27 greetings! He is so touched when even people who have never met him send him a happy birthday greeting via my FB post or other internet activity. He had a good day–his daughter called and they talked quite a while, and then our son and his oldest boy, Isaac, stopped by to see him after supper. Although they stopped by after supper, the scalloped potatoes and wieners dish was still pretty hot so I gave them each a bowl, and of course Daniel had some Brussels sprouts, too (his favorite veggie). Later on last night, I brought up the strawberry-rhubarb pie (Ron’s favorite) I had gotten, and he and I each had a slice for our snack. We were too full earlier to have some. Unfortunately he did have a fall yesterday after lunch, but we were able to get him up without other help–I set up a little step ladder, and he “crawls” up that until he can stand. I’m thankful my left arm is now strong enough that I can get it set up, as otherwise I’d have had to call 911! He didn’t seem to have hurt himself, thankfully.

Looks like you and Ron both need to be bubble wrapped. So glad he had no serious injuries. Very clever idea to use the step ladder. I’m with Daniel on the Brussels sprouts. Does he have a preferred way of cooking them? I mention the restaurant David and I went to for his birthday. I got Brussels Sprouts as a side dish. They were awful. It’s almost like they weren’t cooked so I took them home and cooked them again and they were still hard. So far this “fine dining” restaurant is at the top of my “never go there again” list.

Barbara, I think Daniel will eat them however you cook them–he’s loved them since the first time he tasted them, when he was about 3 or 4!! MY favorite way is to cut them in half, and cook them in butter until tender, and then glaze them with a couple of tablespoons of real maple syrup. Yum!! But Ron prefers them just boiled or steamed, so I steamed them the other night, since it was his birthday. They were really small ones, too, so pretty mild in flavor.

    2. Thanks Charlotte,
Well, I sold 7 necklaces and headbands today… unfortunately, I didn’t get the rest listed today… maybe I’ll do that if we get snowed in tomorrow night and Wednesday! :o)

I’m glad Ron has you to take such care of him!
      Blessings, Jeanne

I’m glad you have your Etsy shop up and running, Jeanne, but I can’t find it! The link you provided only shows me how to set up my own Etsy shop! I have nothing to sell! LOL When I look for it on Etsy, all I come up with is the TV show I Dream of Jeannie things!

I will say that my Betsy just oves that kitty headband you made and wears it every chance she gets!

Charlotte, so nice that Ron had company for his birthday, and despite the fall, I’m sure he enjoyed himself with all those yummy treats you made for him!

    1. Hi Linda,
Thanks for letting me know this morning the link to my Etsy show wasn’t working… I was gone this morning, so it would have been a while before I could have fixed it, so thanks!!!

I need to take new pictures of the dolls wearing the rest of my headbands… I mostly had group pictures and pics of all the headbands laying in one big group picture.

      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. I can’t seem to get to your Etsy store. I am like Linda in St. Louis, I don’t want to set up my own shop. Lol!’

    1. Sorry Helen,
I didn’t copy the link to my shop correctly… I did fix it, just so you know…
Thanks again for the sweet title for Felicity’s dress set.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Jeanne, all you need to do to change prices on your items is go to your item , scroll down to price , edit and change it . Then it will ask you to save it at the top. Then your new price will show. Very easy . Write me back if you need any more help or go to Etsy and it will give you more info.

    1. Hi Marla,
Thanks for trying to help… it wasn’t changing the prices that I was having trouble with…
I wanted it to show if you bought ONE necklace or headband (for $8), it was just $8, but if you bought TWO, I wanted it to show it would be $14, not $16. If you bought THREE items, it would be $20, not $24, and if you bought 4, it would be $25, not $32…

I couldn’t find a way to do that, so I just put the refund $$ in their packages today…
If you know how to do that…I would be interested…
      Blessings, Jeanne

Looks like lots of bids for Springtime Promise, and still two more days. ๐Ÿ™‚
Hoped to get a delivery today, but it isn’t up on Informed Delivery, so maybe tomorrow. We’ll see.

    1. Hi Joy,
It’s generally a good sign when the bidding gets started early… hope it continues…
Sorry you didn’t get your new dolls… just a bit more time for you to figure out a plan to get them in the house… :o)
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Thanks Kathie…
I have many more items to get listed… hope I can find some time…
I want to decide tomorrow who gets the next outfit…

Looks like your auction is moving right along. Now that the holidays are over people might be looking at spending money on themselves, I mean their dolls, again.

I told you about our horrible restaurant experience for David’s birthday so i must tell you about the marvelous experience on our anniversary. If you’re ever in Houston, it’s a “go to” must. It’s called Taste of Texas and is privately owned. They started years ago as a small restaurant specializing in chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak is no longer on the menu but a lot of other things are and their current restaurant is large and lovely. David had steak and I had the most wonderful Lobster tail ever. There were two of them and quite filling. They have a wonderful salad bar and I have to prevent myself from overindulging there. For a side I got asparagus with Hollandaise sauce. It was cooked to perfection. It was one of the premium sides, but it was our anniversary dinner, and we only go to this restaurant once a year. We used to go at Christmas while the kids were growing up because their decorations are so festive and their Nutcracker collection amazing. One year I made Andrea and I matching dresses using a Daisy Kingdom pattern and fabric. The skirts were red plaid with a border of flowers and a black flowered coordinating fabric for the bodice. I used the plaid and made David and Sean vests (I do have a picture). Someone asked us if we were a singing group. These days we don’t go at Christmas but Sean takes his family. It’s a tradition he says.

And while I’m shamelessly plugging things I need to tell you about my shoes. Ever since I tripped over my dog twice a couple years ago when I didn’t realize she was going blind, I have had problems walking that even my chiropractor or a massage couldn’t seem to put paid to. I’ve bought a couple pairs of shoes that felt fine in the store but upon wearing them for awhile they were not fine. Why you want to taper the toe of a walking shoe I don’t get but they do. I sent one pair back and Jaiden inherited the other pair and loved them. I got an email from Easy Spirit awhile back and they had a sale on some of their Romy walking shoes. It was a discount on a sale. I was a little suspicious as to why they would reduce the shoes so much but I thought for the price I’d give them a try. I still cannot believe what a change these shoes have made in my life. I barely could walk around the grocery store or Wal-Mart without using a cart like a walker. I realized what a difference they made when David and I were shopping at Wal-Mart the other day. We split up and he finished his shopping and got to the front of the store ahead of me. When I saw him I could actually walk faster to meet him so we could check out. So you’ll never believe what I did. Yup. The shoe fit so I bought it in every color. Not really because there are a ton of colors, but my first ones were white with colored trim, so I bought a pair of black with a floral accent and navy with a floral accent. No plain Jane here. All fit great and I feel quite fashionable – not to mention really comfortable.

    1. Hi Barbara,
I’m hoping you’re right…and people are looking for new dolly outfits! :o)

It sounds like a wonderful restaurant that has an owner who knows what he’s doing!!

I’m like you…. I love a comfy shoe… why put up with something uncomfortable when you don’t have to. I like stylish shoes, but not as much as comfy!!
      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    2. Charlotte Trayer

Oh, my, Barbara, your dinner at Taste of Texas sounds heavenly!! Truly a special place, sounds like. (And here I am, married to Mr. “just fix me a hotdog”! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Your shoes sound wonderful, too, and yes, I am a strong proponent of “buy it in every color” when it comes to shoes. I have very small feet, a high arch and kind of wide, as feet go, so when I find something that works, I try to get the same thing over again, if I can. New Balance often does the same shoe in different colors at different times in the year; my first pair was gray with some black/teal/green accents. Their next rendition was a slightly different style but basically the same fit: I had a choice of royal blue or a vibrant violet color–of course, I got the violet ones!! Now I have them in black, too. I should see if they’ve done them in pink or red yet…..

  8. Having been out most of last week with my little kitty having a rhinoscopy/culture/biopsy, recovery, and waiting for treatment plan I have some catching up to do. I’m glad Ron had a lovely birthday, Charlotte. Also a big congratulations on your new great grandson.
I hope you had a lovely anniversary, Barbara. Congratulations on 43 years!!
Obviously I missed the majority of Felicity’s dress, but the end result is just beautiful, Jeanne. Hopefully, she will will get another modeling opportunity at the end this year.

      1. Thank you so much for asking, Joy. Truffle is doing well currently. She is my rescue (with her best friend- sadly the kitty I lost about a year and a half ago) from the parking lot across from our small downtown theatre. The results take a week or so to come back. She’s breathing better than she has since I caught her in 2017. She’s on a mild steroid currently. Our vet had tried various antibiotics with varying lengths of success. Unfortunately, outdoor cats are prone to respiratory issues and my sweet girl has a shorter nose to begin with.
Here’s the photo I shared here at Christmas.

Oh, our Charlie had the same what we call the Mickey Mouse M on his head. He was rescued when he showed up at our place. Was with us 19 years. Still miss that cat. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Laura,
Sorry to hear about your poor kitty…I bet you’re the best nurse ever though…

I will do my best to show Felicity again this year…
      Blessings, Jeanne
